It’s also worth noting that a lot of HF stores are run by decent folks who won’t burn you on warranties and returns. They do distinguish what has a lifetime warranty and what has a limited warranty, but if you just take a broken product in and explain how it failed, there’s a decent chance you’ll get a free replacement no matter the warranty status. The lifetime warranty stuff is easy, but there’s a shot that they’ll replace a $5 Pittsburgh screwdriver if you’re not in a big city.

At my store, you can haggle with management on open-box clearance items. Literally haggle. “Y’all have got this marked at $17, but it’s $20 new, would you take $10 instead?” Had good luck with this.

I love the store, However my wife doesn't. I am forced to lie to her when I want to go in there. It is not our fault! women force us to lie to them.

I thought we were really stuck; I was thinking where in the hell would we be able to get an oxygen regulator at that hour, then the Harbor ad popped up on the computer. I should not complain however, as the old regulator was 47 years old. LOL
