    I play merchants guild. Since we only have 75 filter rules, I have a main filter that is less strict with misc rules (crafting bases, fractured recipe, shattering affixes, high total tier experimental items, etc). I also have potentially good items, idols, and good T6+ affixes that will sell well. I use multiple dump tabs. Then when I am going to do a trip to the merchants quarter, I will throw items on the ground from the dump tabs, and switch to a second and more strict filter. This allows me to only pick up the T6 affixes that will sell well (specific to item types), as well as idols for specific builds, or fracture or sort them. The rest is left on the ground.

Should I just run merchant guild filters and sell stuff and buy my beginning/mid/late game gear? Or should I run a torment build filter and find it myself? 😢

      They definitely are not as important as in PoE. Likely because armour and dodge, parry, glancing blow etc are so good.
      You should still cap them if you want to push corruption though. Especially poison resistance. Dot damage is the most common way you rip in high corruption, and poison has a lot of it.

      I've played many mmos and mobas at a high level and understanding how damage and mitigation works is vital to playing optimally. This is my first arpg and one of the things I noticed was just how much stronger other defensive stats were to resistances. Only resists I have capped is physical and void. necro is around 60 and others are around 40ish. I keep poison resist pieces on hand also because from what I've seen its the only other damage type I'd occasionally have issues with. I'm critical capped and have way more health than most people. I'm also playing hardcore and have had no issues. Then again I've had years of practice dodging mechanics so that plays a factor as well.

    with 3 spots for lenses and have all uniquees i HAVE to have and only start searching things i want .. i started to block ! mono/high corrupt/arena/dungen !
    then save a bunch of favour 30-50k, pick prophecys with "kill the snakee boss or the other one" , it cost me 2 minutes somewhere i dont want to be BUT ,
    run, kill the boss Take loot TP out TP back and kill boss again without have to run again for the maybe offered 2nd run of the prophecy .....
    whatever i think the campain prophs are the best and by far the easiest ons,
    the mono ones are maybe in one where you dont want to be and take wayyy more time to finish
    the arena selfspeaking caise of thee random which boss you get and may have to ru nmulti arenas without getting the right one
    so maybe i dont block dungeon and put in the 2xloot for 1.8x favour cost

    Re: finishing nodes asap to move on to the next; in very high corruption this may not work in your favor if you are attempting bosses for their drops.
    Each completed node will give the monsters stacking buffs. This means only doing the objective to move on to the next node means stacking a large amount of buffs on the monsters while progressing the stability slower.
    The nodes further away from the starting area give you more (bonus) stability, so unless you are in a bad node it is in your favor to get as much stability as you can before moving on. You don’t need to max the stability in each node, but clearing a bit more in each node means having an easier time in consequent nodes.

    I actually like the merchant guild more and random item drops instead of targeted loot. I'm an old school player.

  • @jakemartin5553
    @jakemartin5553 Před 3 měsíci +1

    I've played both CoF and MG this cycle and I can I find COF to be great for early progression.. but once you get to the point where you're trying to target farm specific items, it just feels like D4 where you're playing a slot machine all day, never actually working towards the item.. just hoping it randomly drops..
    In MG, I found early progression to be absolutely abysmal.. like I'd be trying to push corruption before I was even able to buy exalted items... BUT I'm also able now to work towards the items I want in order to really push my build. The only thing worse than finding a great 2-3LP unique THATS FOR ANOTHER BUILD.. is finding the exact 2LP uniques you need and not having the correct exalted items..
    There is a lot of issues with MG, particularly with the rank system.. I like having something to work towards.. but being locked out from buying some basic items for like 20 hours is ridiculous... IMO.. trade should just be fully unlocked for MG right away.. and ranks should grant other bonuses like favor discounts, favor earning boosts, gold earning boosts etc etc.. with some players blastight right thru.. this would still create a situation where certain items are prohibitively expensive early on (either in favor or gold cost), but also not lock players out from participating in trade at all when they signed up for a trade exoerience.

    • @PrinceGaki
      @PrinceGaki Před 3 měsíci

      Agreed.
      Imo exalted items should be rank 5 not rank 7.
      It literally takes you till about lvl 91-93 (depends ofc) before you get to be lvl 7.
      It's INSANE that you have to hold off for weeks (for a casual player) just to be able to buy an item, not to mention also needing the favor.
      You're playing this super gimped, half working build so that after 30-40 hours of playing you are able to buy some exalted items. Which for the casual player could take up to 1- 3 weeks or even longer. Being locked out of exalted items, which is the whole item system basically, is nuts.
      Going from 7-9 is faster than going from 1-7 imo. Just because at the start you NEED to clear all monoliths at low level and barely get any favor. After hitting 100-200 corruption (which is around the time you hit lvl 7) your favor skyrockets. But before that, it's a big bust and needs to be buffed.

    I had trouble trying to hide affixes i wasnt looking for. I don't know which affixes caused it but my filter was hiding all daggers despite there being daggers i was looking for that didn't match the hide criteria. I ended up just highlighting what im looking for and ignoring everything else rather than hiding what I'm not looking for. Its not that cluttered since i only show epics in the first place, but iv wish i knew what was causing daggers to be hidden...

    • @kebb0
      @kebb0 Před 3 měsíci

      In general, at the bottom you have a "hide all normal/magic/rare items" rule which will HIDE every item possible (MAKE SURE THIS RULE IS AT THE BOTTOM AT ALL TIMES). Then you make a new rule on top of that which SHOWS the affixes you want. If you use "hide type" rule you must also have a rule that says "show all unique/set/exalted items" topmost since it overrides that. The filter is very literal. Same with affixes, if you hide any affix and have it topmost, it will hide all items with that affix regardless of rarity and type.
      Hiding affixes is generally not recommended unless you are prepared to lose items that you could work with. If I were to guess the items either had an affix on it that you had hidden or you have hidden the basetype by mistake? Remember that the order of rules are extremely important. If it's on top, it will override anything below. To test what filter rule could be the culprit you can disable them by unchecking the rule on the left side and then edit it and just click update without changing anything (seems to be a bug still).
      An example from my filter how I'm currently working with exalted items, I'm hiding tier 6+ affixes that I find useless overall, I do not feel like I will ever make a build with these affixes, so I've hidden them. "Chance to slow enemies" is one example in this example of affixes I've hidden. This means that I'm only hiding tiers 6 and above using that affix. I also have a rule that hides all lower than exalted rarity items. I have a rule that says "show all exalted items" that is below this tier 6+ rule. This ensures that any item where the mod "chance to slow enemies" is exalted will be hidden. I do not want that mod to be exalted and even if the other mods would be good for my build, it's essentially a bricked item.
      With rares however, like I said, I have hidden every item and am using a "show" filter instead. I am now showing every affix I want with 2 mods that have a combined tier sum of 12, which means all tiers on the items must be a sum into 12 if added together (ex. 5+5+1+1 or 4+4+2+2). The hide rule is at the bottom, everything else is on top. I plan to do this with exalted items instead as I am farming empowered monos now.

    Why do I get a piece of gear that says let’s say, 45% critical chance increase then I look at my character and it only like 20%…

    • @TheSeko233
      @TheSeko233 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Base crit chance is 5% . if you get a 50% increase in crit it will be 7.5% . What you are asking is plus crit chance which shown like +5% crit chance so it becomes 10% now. So you need flat crit chance first otherwise just percent crit wont be much.
      İf you only have 500% increase crit > 5 + ( 5 x %500) = 30% crit
      if you have +15% crit and 100%crit increase = 5+15 = 20(new base) and 20 x 2= 40% crit.

    Have a question. "Base item" was mentioned multiple times. Yet, there was no explanations of what it means or how to tell which gear has which base. Can someone please give an example or explain a bit?

    • @7aman7aman21
      @7aman7aman21 Před 3 měsíci

      Base item is the item without any prefixes or suffixes, as in the white item's stats.

    • @bonez994
      @bonez994 Před 3 měsíci +2

      A "base item" is essentially what an item would be if it had no affixes. The base is the item implicit modifiers.
      For example, the boot base Heoborean Boots give movement speed and cold resistance in its implicits. Solarum Greaves are another boot base that give movement speed and fire resistance.
      If you ever want to know what all of the bases are for a specific item type, theres a way in game to do that:
      - Create a new rule in your item filter and select "Item Type"
      - Select only 1 item type you would like to see all the bases for, lets say Helmets
      - You then have the option to select the subtype (Item Base). This subtype menu will tell you what the implicits are of each helmet base in the game.
      Hope this all helps!

    • @Zizaran
      @Zizaran  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Base item refers to the sub-type of that type of items.
      Daggers, for example, have multiple base types with different implicits - Chitin Dagger, Hunting Dagger, Kris, etc. Some are amazing for your build, most others are worthless.

I created another character and I’m doing monolith at levels 10+ above my character level and yet I’m gaining EXP super slow. It’s really taking the fun out of the game because it feels like they’re trying to slowdown player progress as a means to compensate for the lack of depth in the endgame.
