Rune of Shattering is added to vendor after every quest, until a max cap of 5 available runes. So pick them up while you level up. They are not tradable from players and not farmable.
You can farm it in monoliths. But it isn't really optimal way
My first impression when I played it a couple years back is that it was the love child between Grim Dawn and Path of Exile. Love how far they've come with LE!

I just tried the game for a bit playing it offline, and everything is so crisp with 0 lag I wish other ARPG's had offline.
It's going to be hard not having a "poe ninja" type thing to look at for seeing what builds people are using, but I'm really looking forward to playing the game when I can

I only picked up the game on Friday and have been tinkering ahead of launch. This was a great beginner guide, especially explaining the crafting part which I had been meaning to get more into.
I have endurance question: Let's say you have 1k life, 50% endurance, and 500 endurance threshold. If you're in full life and receive 1k damage, will you receive -750 life or -1k life (because your life is not below 50%)?
The most importance thing is to be patient when you see LE-61

the WORST thing for me is that u cant remap right mouseklick, i am used to have walking on right and walk on left and its not possible to change that makes it feel rly bad to play

Im sure crafting is "simple" after you put a few hours into it etc but EVERY video I've seen on it just doesn't help me at all I feel.
Once you get the hang of it, it is really simple. But you can't go into it treating it like it's crafting from any other arpg or mmo.
Still way better then PoE's lol
If you’re watching multiple videos and can’t comprehend literally any aspect of the crafting system, the crafting and the content may not be the issue - re examine how you’re absorbing the info or go in game and try it yourself.

The only 5 active skills is a big miss, why I have those little steps on the skills bars in first place… would be great to have another slot
You can change it
You can change the behavior of the walking! You can make it so you go around enemies I think, or you go up to them and automatically use your right click skill on them.
He didn't mention it but it's there in the Hardcore description. You don't lose the character when you die you just lose the Hardcore status. Another important thing that seems obvious but I've seen people (Asmongold) not notice it exists. That being a search function in the top-right corner of a lot of menus including skill trees, passives, stash and whatnot.
So if your hardcore char dies, you can just carry on like it was a regular online char?

Hey strange question, but I saw a thread on Steam that's using a video from 2 years ago, as well as quoting you specifically, as evidence that gearing in Last Epoch is irrelevant to overall player power and claims it's still an issue in the current state of the game. Seeing as you play a lot of the game, I was wondering what you think. Is gear actually irrelevant to player power? Or is gearing in a good place now?
There's literally build defining uniques. Also, have you seen crafted items from the endgame?
I would say its more similar to lineage classes than poe ascendancy

I'm arpg fan played d1-2-3 also had competitive d2 clan back in my day (compettive lol yea we are camping portals )
and played poe since begining quit after weeks and back with torment league and still playing it. I raced had my own build had records for lab (yeah it was a thing )
etc.
i tried this game when it was not even alpha in kickstarter and not gonna lie about it i didn't like too much i liked that dark paladin things but overall it was meh with horde mode for me !
then i tried again this week and i m amazed suprised and can easily say this game 's story acts whatever you wanna call it is harder to adept and learn compare to poe
also can easily say this game's end game much more complicated than poe is so straight forward building atlas not a hard thing since begining yea it gets much more complicated and stupid .
For sure poe crafting is much more complicated has more depth because its billion year old game had 12312313 content expansion and league

yea poe has more skill supports and more skills than this game but if we compare making and learning 1 build in poe and this game it's not that easy as you said 123123123 times . So have a nice day :)

the crafting system explanation in this video is confusing as hell, need a more indepth video.
My map transitions in the first town bugged so I logged out. Not a good start for the diablo killer. Basic gameplay needs to work
WHO said it was going to be a diablo killer but yourself? it's supposed to be a middle ground between D4 and PoE. Also, this indie game just released, of course it's not going to be perfect

This game pulls the best of all the ARPGs. This game with d4 graphics and nobody would ever log back into Diablo again 😂

Whats the benefit of going hardcore?
At the moment? A sense of pride and accomplishment. (And the softcore mode has (or at least it did have in beta) a little banner in the character screen that told you if you were still deathless anyway. ;) )
No benefits really but it’s like putting 100 dollars on the table playing poker . The excitement and adrenaline is just different when dying matters .
It’s not for everyone certainly not for me but I can see the appeal

@popojaga7312 If you want to try it, the character gets transferred to softcore at death. So there's really no downside to it.

The item must return automatically back to the slot after crafting! I forgot my wand in the forge for two hours having in mind that will return automatically.

Funny that all the big content creators for ARPGs played and hyped Last Epoch up so hard. Now a month later everyone has gone back to PoE. Last Epoch feels way too casual IMO

HEY GUYS! Speaking of re-spec. Remember in POE affliction, when you had to wait for the RNG gods to bless you with a visit from Mist King. Haven’t played since. Nice work GGG
I'm not sure you have enough experience with the game to make a video about EVERYTHING for beginners. For example spending gold on shatter runes early on is throwing it away. Later when you go into monoliths you will have dozens of them, while early on you will never loot rare affixes (double health or class affixes), due to item level constrictions. It's way better using it on the gambler, because the gear you are getting from him have the best bases for your level. Bases for leveling are more important than the affixes themselves. And then you didn't mention anything about leveling at the start, that you need to do side quests for passive points and idol slots, or that mana can go into negative. All things that players encounter very early on. It's a scrappy on the spot video with misleading and incomplete information.
I regret buying Last Epoch. I spent 2 hours trying to log in to a standard account, until I realized I could make a hardcore character and I logged in first time. Today when I try a standard character, it still cant login 24hours later... hopefully the experience will improve...

Bruh. Other games can't even be played offline nowadays. Be patient, this happens with big studios and publishers, and this game was made by 90 people that literally met on the internet (reddit). Maybe it will take a couple of days, but it will surely work fine afterwards.
This is pretty difficult to understand as a complete beginner. Seems like it's more for people that have already been playing for a little bit

I gave up on POE after about 90 minutes, when it wouldn't let me store the respec book, or I couldn't figure it out. That shit was like a headache incarnate.

? you explain that this is a nice sweatspot between POE & D4 - however with crafting you then go on to explain everything in the context of POE - Beginners may not have played POE or quit because it was too complex - hence this is not that good a guide for 'beginners'

This game is unplayable. Since I’ve downloaded it I feel like I can’t load any zone unless I sit there for three minutes. A little disappointed I spent the money on it before it was finished. Back to PoE for a while I guess

I already refunded the game. If you come out with a game and I cant even get past the loading screen after I make my character you have shit devs and the game is not worth my time or money. My computer can run POE almost maxed out as well

@@Mayhski112 Idk about that guy but I'm kind of not having a great time. I've played arpg's before like diablo 3/4 and grim dawn with a tiny bit of POE and this game just isn't hitting right. I'm probably missing something but it might be the progression system. In every other arpg I feel like my character actually scales while leveling even if it's as simple as putting the higher number weapon in the slot to do a little bit more damage. This game feels like almost none of the loot I pick up matters which after however many hours of that in Diablo 4's end game is just making me want to shut the game off. Plus the system of having to pick and choose which abilities you specialize in seems kinda bad because if I feel kind of encouraged to specialize in something as soon as I can but then that slot is just gone so if I later get an ability I think is cool that I could work into my build, I'm now forced to respec and I'm just losing a bunch of points in that ability outright so then I'm encouraged to not to respec. I want to give the game a fair shot and try to make my way to the end game because that's where a lot of these games shine but so far this seems the weakest of any rpg's early game that I've ever played.
@@Mayhski112 close ..... i hat terrible graphics so i research quik and somehow the latency is connected to the graphics... dond ask me how or why but im from europe best ping is 55 or more the video i got that info praised a invidia service that if the videomaker is right over 40 MS is unplayable and he was in beta ........and the loading time and grapics realy realy suxxxx to bad that i was 2.2 hours in the queue so im not able to get a refound on steam. I can play POE or D4 or grimm dawn and i dond have anny problems there. so i think this is a game not worth my time ....

jeez this is honestly too much, games need to keep things more simple. like diablo 2 days. armor rings socket armors rune words thats it! THATS IT! focus on the content and combat at hand, even the skill trees are getting too complicated. it's more character management than gaming.....good video though.

my typing fingers getting itchy reading these comments.... It's a small development company making a huge rpg. Ofcourse they are going to run into problems with all the hype around it. The good thing though, they have an offline mode (remember that like in the good old days), the only thing you have to do is log in., then create an offline character and your good to go without lag or any problems to try out the game.
Did you happen to notice the offline modes?
The FISRT question the game will ask you when you start is to give them your email. So take the "Play Offline" with a salt lick". They don't need your email for anything but selling information.
