Thanks for all of the videos you’ve uploaded the past couple of years! Appreciate how much effort you put into these and it definitely shows.
These videos are so nice when it comes to choosing which cars to buy. While lap time isn't the only thing to consider about a new car, it's nice to know which of them are competitive.
You know it would be a great idea if you could race any car from any class with other cars from other classes it would add so much more variety and options and it could also add more cars to any tiers that don't have many cars and help better balance a lot of those cars with lap times in the gray areas. If Rockstar is going to keep the class system in gta 6 I hope they do this
It's great to see the Ardent can now be used in races after not being available and then only stock cars being available but I feel like all the other non-raceable cars (except for the Toreador with the boost) should get the same treatment where they can be used but all the special abilities they have are disabled for the race. One thing I have been wondering about though that I have not asked yet: how are you able to race the non-raceable cars in the race lobby even though they can't be raced?

Great video! Too bad the Sports Classic is not a class you race often in GTAO when you join random races. Those are actually some of the most interesting and challenging cars to drive in the game. You forgot to mention how bad the brakes are on the Casco and the Mamba :D

isn't the Deluxo a lot worse in flying mode than driving mode for racing purposes?
also doubt that the submarine version of the Stromberg will help much in cornering
Yeah they’re both much slower in their other modes
I wonder how much slower the Deluxo and Blazer Aqua are if you've used their secondary driving mode (flight / water respectively) - seeing as when you do, "something happens" that I can only observe to be that such vehicles no longer get boosts from kerbs and elevation changes (not considering brake boosting).
The blazer aqua is significantly slower when you try to drive it around this track with the wheels up.
I would kill to have HSW on PC. Stirling is by far one of my favorites to drive around, but the top speed makes me choose the Pariah or Torero XO to go to Sandy Shores or Paleto. Its a shame that Rockstar never cared about PC.
I wonder how will be the pace of the Toreador if it's allowed to be raced normally without its boost?

how much we need a class split in to sports clasics and retro sports... alas.
How do you choose the cars for the thumbnails? So far all four are from different eras of the game. I figure showing a newer and/or faster car would be an easy way to get some extra views. And it’s not like it’s scummy, it just makes sense
It appears that for these 2024 videos, he's been picking cars from the A or B tier (Turismo Omaggio is A, Banshee HSW is B, Dominator GTT is B, Cheetah Classic is A).
This differs from the 2020 videos, where it was typically S-tier cars.
Yeah, I figure the only Sports Classics everyone wants are the Stirling and the Turismo, but I’m not complaining. Makes a good rivalry between Mercedes and Ferrari duking it out which are the most pompous car brands.

yep iirc his plan is to get testing vids out every fortnight, since the classes are much smaller than the previous 4
New plan is 3 weeks for coupes, another 3 for sedans, then every two weeks after that. Getting quicker!

Guy hear me out the deluxe is the best off road vehicle it can go up vertical surface easily the suspension is almost like ur hovering and when you go off road u literally fly

SZ will be in sedans video, terminus in off-road video, and police cars will take some time since they’re not raceable

Is the Ardent super bouncy for anyone else? I did the premium race last week (Eight Figure Bonus) and the Retinue Mk2 was the best choice, the Ardent was awful.
Retinue mk2 benefits from bumpy city tracks, as stated in the video. The Ardent can be a bit tricky over bumps

How does one "short shift" a car in a game that doesn't offer a manual transmission option? Just asking, not trying to be an ass.
slightly lift right before the gear change then full throttle to get the car to shift up earlier and give more revs -- more info here czcams.com/video/AwsezpFOk7g/video.html
GTA games (at least since IV) somewhat simulate a real automatic gearbox. That is to say, when you're using using smaller throttle inputs it will actually change up earlier, and if you're in a high gear at low speed it'll hold that until you floor it, at which point it will kick down. The physics are full of these "why are they even simulating that???" moments
Tier O is my personal favourite, objectively the best tier in Sports Classics -- so many Tornados

What's wrong with racing flags? If you're talking about the flags that make it go slow over bumps, those are not racing flags.
Flags that ruine cars overall performance. So many cars have been ruined. Hopefully rocksstar do it right for GTA 6
1: every car in the game has flags some are worse than others though
2: HSW cars are by far and away the most fun and difficult cars to drive in game. I hope every car in GTA6 is that fast with the same amount of grip

They are still ranked in the old way with position in class on screen. There’s actually no difference in this video to what it would’ve been had they simply been ranked on lap time, it’s still slowest to fastest. What is confusing you (genuine question)?
