Does the mousse make the hair stiff? What happens when she washes it does she have to reapply the mousse?

Any tips for braiding on yourself? I’ve never tried before, but want to give it a shot, and I’ll be attempting the braid over my pre existing locs
It's def not so easy. but hard work pays it off, start on friday end on early saturday or do it on summer break or take a break of ur job

Is it better to wash your hair and air dry or blow dry before doing the box braids? I use no heat on my hair but if it's best I will.
Blow dry it straightens out the natural curl pattern so it’s easy to grab and manipulate
Before you put any heat on your hair make sure you use HEAT PROTECTANT on your hair then blow dry with a straightening attachment to it so it stretches the hair out
Where are you located?
Is the loc going through the root safe for the loc itself? 🥴🥴 chile this how folks be waking up w one loc on the bed

What does the flat iron do
It mends the hair at the end together. Kinda slightly melting it so you don’t have to use the traditional ‘burning the ends with a lighter’ method to seal the braid. Basically keeping the braid from unraveling 😃
