i feel like we needed more crookedstar in the books. he literally lost everything and i think it kinda flew over everyone's heads. he just, he lost his mother and father early on, his brother, his mate, his kits, and yet he had a clan to lead n well .. whatever, this animation and song is amazing.
ikr? Its why I like him more than Bluestar. I feel like he lost more than Bluestar, and yet still was a excellent leader. while Bluestar didnt listen about the obvious th ing of Tigerclaw being a evil cat and instead basically went insane.

I do personally like bulestar and yeah she went insane basically but I can get why, her deputy, one she truster very well turned on her(crookedstar didn't have that happen I think but his past was still tragic). tigerkit was also her sisters (snowfur) kits friend whitekit, and bluestar really did trust him a lot. She had to give up her kits, and thats like super freaking hard to even do and think about, including if you loose one on the way.She had lost a lot she cared about like crookedstar did, and she still lead her clan to become stronger than it was until the last of her lives. She felt like star clan hated for what she did and then she begun to hate herself even more. She also was the one who brought rusty to the clan and look where the clan is now :). anyhow, sorry for my long ass rant lmao and I do agree w you xD

Mapleshade is actually kind of refreshing from cats taking a mate from a different clan and nothing really happening, she actually went through a lot of suffering and was exiled because of it.

Like forbidden romances could be so interesting and spicy but they're so blank and predictable.
@@morningrosie3684 I'm not 100% sure but I've heard her thing with apple was before that death happened, as well as the death was an accident. Even if they were mad at the father of the kits, exiling innocent defenseless kits was a horrible thing to do..they were too young.
Everyone’s saying how they feel bad for mapleshade but I feel bad for crookedstar. He did nothing and yet it was cause of his ancestor’s mistakes that he had to suffer so much :c
What she did to him was wrong. He was completely innocent and had no idea about what happened and who Mapleshade was. i agree it was wrong, but Mapleshade was so angry and desperate, she missed her kits so much and even in death she couldn’t see them even once. The problem was she couldn’t let go of her anger, and took it out on poor Crookedstar

But Mapleshade totally should have gotten a Super edition! It could have started right from when she was a kit until when she died
She should have two editions. I'd like her point of view after she died, because reading these comments reveals she did a lot of damage afterward. I only read Crockedstar's Promise and I've forgotten what happened there, but I've just read in the other comments that other editions and ebooks had her a lot more involved in the Clans.

the "Mapleshade's vengeance " novella written by the Erins is about how Mapleshade lost her kits and killed three cats, including Appledusk. she then died from the fight with Perchpaw, Appledusk's apprentice and went in the Dark Forest. There isn't really anything more to write about, her whole story is explored in Crookedstar's promise , Tigerclaw's fury, Goosefeather's curse and the Omen of the Stars arc where we see her training Ivypool in the Dark Forest. She died in the great battle, while fighting Sandstorm, i think, after she killed Spottedleaf. As for starting from when she was a kit, her real problems ( Appledusk, Dark Forest) only started when she was a young warrior, so there really isn't anything extraordinary about her kithood.
Sorry to crush your dreams but i really don't think we're getting another Mapleshade book. But you can always read Mapleshade's vengeance and the other books i mentioned, if you want more of her.
She didn’t die. She was chased off by Sandstorm. Meaning she is still out there, lurking, waiting to try again.
Mapleshade is actually dead, so she just went back to the Dark Forest. She was killed by Perchpaw, Appledusk's apprentice, I believe.
While Broken and Tiger die, Mapleshade in still in the depths of the Dark Forest.

Crookedstar's last face-off with Mapleshade was so powerful. Crookedstar endured so much tragedy in his life, lost everyone he loved but he STILL stood up to her and told her she didn't win. She never would. Mapleshade tried so hard to destroy him, but he proved he was nothing like her. Loyal and true to himself to the end.
I know this is about Mapleshade, but I just want to point this out. Crookedstar had to go through so much cruelty, he literally had to watch his entire family die right in front of him, but in the end he stayed strong and didn't let it make him cruel. That is one hell of a strong cat.

Sorry it’s just kinda hard to understand but if I recall correctly Starclan Actucally reached out to Yellowfang and told her to try and be a “mother” to him. Not necessarily telling him but she let Brokenkit hang around the medicine den and she was “his friend” until Brokenstar got upset at something his adopted littermates said and pushed Yellowfang away. We can’t necessarily know what would’ve happened without Mapleshade interference because we only see what happened when she interfered. Mapleshade even whispered it Tigerstar ear pushing him to commit murder in Tigerstars novella. Tigerstar was destined to be a bad cat, so was Brokenstar prophecies were sent about them from the beginning but would they of been as bad without Mapleshade?

Edit: okay its been three years, and lemme just say that I don't think her murders were completely justified, nor that she deserved to go Starclan. It think if she HAD gone to Starclan, she would've been at peace, and yes, she did say that she was happy to be in the dark forest after she died, but idk, I don't think she was really thinking straight at that point, plus revenge was basically all she had going for her by then. Also, out of the three she went after, I feel like Appledick was the only one who shouldve gone to the dark forest, Frecklewish and Ravenwing received punishment through being killed. The most Freckle could have done was call for help, and Raven overreacted, yes, but he didn't mean for them to be straight up exiled, I believe. I also think that the leader at the time, Oakstar, Shouldve had major repercussions ANYWAYS- canon Maple wasnt a good cat, but she could've been helped and was wronged by a lot of cats. In a different universe, she shouldve gone to Starclan and gotten that closure she desperately needed

Was Frecklewish meant to heroically jump into the lake to check if the kits were okay?? Like seriously, what did Mapleshade to expect her to do...?? (Also Frecklewish even stated that she thought the kits had gotten out of the lake)
Appledusk never abandoned the kits. He actually tried to save them. And let's not forget they were HIS kits as well. He going to be as equally as upset as her, but at least he didn't try to freaking murder her for it.

I sort of agreed. The way mapleshade was treated was unfair. She could’ve responded better, and it doesn’t much justify her actions, but it’s ridiculous that appledusk went to starclan. After everything that appledusk caused, it’s unfair that he’s still seen as an innocent cat that shouldn’t be blamed.

I'd just realize that MapleShade actually killed the all Appledusk's family, seeking for revenge. Because honestly I think even if she's a dark forest cat she can have impact on the "real" world (She's enough evil to x3). Applesusk's family was over with the death of Oakheart and Crookedstar. Or at least it's what she thought because she probably ignored that Oakheart actually had kids, thanksfully for them.

+coeurdor28 I don't mean to be rude, but I think your a bit wrong on this case. If you will allow me to explain why I have come to this conclusion in these next two comments, then you can criticize and see if it actually hold up. I always open to opinions.
+coeurdor28 (1/?) this is what i know about Mapleshade:
1) in mapleahade's book she first swore revenge on ThunderClan as a whole for kicking her out. Then in last few pages of the book, she said she would punish EVERY descendants of Appledusk, and she would never stop. Ultimate guide said her goal eventually spread to all the Clans.
3) Her idea of punishment seem be if you suffer as much as she did, this can mean death or could mean losing everything
4) in Tigerclaw's e-book she is shown helping him to become a Shadowclan leader and get revenge on Thunderclan, and his b enemies, Fireheart and Bluestar. She said she been with since the day he was born and with Tigerclaw never questioning why he is had a FEMALE voice talking to him in his head until she appear to him, shows she has more hand in his life than we think.
4) don't think it is odd that tigerstar want to make one large Clan but then hold a execution of known RiverClan halfclans. Wouldn't it be beneficial to promote

This is what I think, what if Mapleshade was able to convince Tigerstar to hold a trails where the halfclans would have to fight each other to the death to prove their loyalty and if the refuses or fail, one of ShadowClan Warriors can take care of it. Since only known halfclans are Featherpaw & Stormpaw (crookedstar 's grandkids) and Mistyfoot & Stonefur (Oakheart's kids), she could kill the entire line in one move. If for some reason it doesn't work, they would carry either great guilt for what they done (like Mistyfoot) or may not longer trust RiverClan at all (like Stormfur)
This would leave only Mistyfoot's kits. In Mistyfoot's book, leopardstar ask Mistyfoot why she didn't hatred her for what she did to all mixed Clan cats. Why would she say that, when only four half clans ? unless even the kits of half clan were included as well.
Mapleshade may be evil and crazy but her FLOOFY TAIL THO!!!

Love how the text isn't so overbearing as in some other videos. Perhaps it's because the song is faster than you usually see in PMVs, but the movement is great and it feels fluid. Great tail for Mapleshade, btw.

I realized something while I was watching this, all 'bad cats' in warriors (that i know of) are gotten rid of, via death. Mudclaw: killed by falling tree. Hawkfrost: killed by Brambleclaw. Tigerstar: killed by Scourge. Scourge: killed by Firestar. Bone: killed by raging apprentices.
That's pretty much how all bad guys are supposed to be sent away before they try to do something worse. It's not just Warriors, Scar was gored by hyenas, Farquaad was eaten by a dragon, Syndrome was shredded by a jet engine. It's not a trait exclusive to Warriors, it's a common cliche.

Tbh it's not like death is something uncommon. Everyone dies; it's how they die that differ, but yeah villains are usually killed and thus defeated (or exiled or they lose all their powers if the series can't kill them, etc). xD
Well its just rare for a villian to change sides or not be kicked to the side without dying. Death is just the most likely and reasomable way to remove the villian

Why did Mapleshade go to the dark forest because she was very reasonible for the deaths she caused and Crookedkit was bullied and abused.Mapleshade was like a mother to him because Rainshit had to fucking abuse him.
