I always thought the orange norwich was a norwich with the red factor that were colored with carotene. But I understand that it is actually birds with a yellow base color that are colored red? Learned a lot from this video, thank you!

Brilliant video again Matt! And big thank you to Keith for sharing his methods. Was amazed to hear so much singing in Keith’s bird shed - even at this stage of the year when birds are in the moult! Mine stopped singing a few weeks ago and being new, I thought this was something to expect when cockbirds enter the moult?

I've had another fife hen super eager to make a nest and breed. After several days she laid 2 eggs. Both hatched, but once again totally neglected to feed its chicks. Could a hen that is too young, not finish molting be a possible reason for not feeding? She was very good about staying in the nest!!! I think she is about 9 months old. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from Minnesota, USA
