    Try scoring and snapping your plastic sheet over the edge of your table. Use a straight edge and utility blade to score it. You might want to sand your cut edges too.

      Thanks! Yeah that's a good tip. This material was a bit too thick for my utility blade to do it safely.

    An oscillating tool would cut through that acrylic easily, with minimal sanding to clean up the edges.

    Here in Japan, we tend to wallpaper our homes, so I was lucky to have a lot left over. This could also be another alternative as well.

    What a great use of an old chair mat! I chucked one out just recently ... doh!! I didn't even think to look at the texture, it's worked wonderfully for those project!

    I suggest a pair of tin snips for the cutting and a sharp chisel to knock of the spikes on the under side ;-) Great use of that material!

    another option would be to remove the blade from the hacksaw and put in it a set of vice grips

    You can get a thin bladed saw for $20 that cuts like a hacksaw but looks like a normal wood saw. By Stanley Called a 4_way keyhole saw

      That's a cool saw, definitely will nab one of those. Thanks for the tip! I do use the Dremel for larger props and costumes, so it was an overdue upgrade.

      @@vee_tinymoose Your welcome. If you Re in Australia it's found in the toolshop at Bunnings. It's a flat packed black and yellow cardboard. Easy to loose when out of the packet.

      Thanks mate! I've seen Luke from geek gaming use wall paper with a similar texture too. I still have plenty of this material left, can see it coming in handy if I need to throw on some cobblestone in other projects

    An angle grinder will get the job done in no time, and is probably a lot cheaper than a dremel.
