If I'm being honest, I like the dated aesthetic with leather seats and such. I really liked the old a320 Jetblue cabin before the retrofit
I can agree with you to a certain extent. When the cabin is old AND uncomfortable, that’s when I have an issue. I do love those old JBU cabins though.

It looks like the bag bins don’t accommodate a standard size carry-on right? Were passengers asked to check-in all their carry-ons for free?
The bag bins on the 175 can accommodate your standard carry-on, and gate checks were not requested during boarding for this flight.
How many passengers did the flight have?
All 76 seats were taken!
