It's honestly so iconic that she had success in two markets like damn
I don't think her rebranding has anything to do with "flopping". She was just passionate for multiple cultures that influenced her. Becky G just goes to show that your cultures can have a great affect on your pieces of work. As a Hispanic-American, she shows that you don't have to stick to one culture at all

It has everything to do with her flopping in the English market. She was supposed to also be a big actress and had a starring role in Power Rangers. Sadly, the movie was a flop.

Not only that but she wanted nothing to do with Dr.Luke. She doesn’t have to work with him when she does Spanish music. Too bad she’s still under his label until God knows when( hopefully her contract ends soon)
It’s simple, the English market didn’t know what to do with her. she’s a one hit wonder in that market, her song shower only appeals to young girls that’s it.
She really had potential with her rapping too in English.

As much as I love Becky G I’m not as big as a fan as I used to be. She started with English music with hints of Spanish words incorporated & thats what really made me want to hear more of her music & learn a little bit more Spanish & the girl could RAP! Plus she had a cool hip hop vibe in her style to her which totally made her relatable. I like a few of Spanish songs but once she did that she kinda abandoned her English fans & her hip hop vibe with her style & went for a more sexy latina. It kinda feels like she sold out to look like a pop star with no more English or rap music either. I don’t hate her but I just wish she could see she still has English speaking fans who’d love to understand & enjoy her music as well

Flopped with only 27k copies in its first week(no. 10 in billboard 200) whereas her first album CAMILA sold 119k copies (no. 1 on billboard 200) in its first week and her second album ROMANCE sold 84k copies (no. 3 on billboard 200) in its first week
No doubt she is successful but I fear her career might flop in the coming years

I really feel like she needs to at least go back to her old style. Her first album and production is the reason why ppl liked her. Maybe she can add like a few songs that are latin, but also should have more english lyrics into it.
I feel like she needs to open up to more producers. Shes now at the stage where she has some control of her career and she made almost the entire album with the same team. Alot of artist who finally has control of their careers starts straying off what radio tends to play. The label should have at least 30% creative control so that way she can have some radio hits and the rest of the album can be whatever she likes.

But even Dont Go Yet flopped( peaked at #42 on billboard hot 100 am stayed on chart for only 9 weeks ) which was a latin pop song and with all English lyrics

Pls do Sofía Reyes, she was the number one singer on tiktok worldwide with her son 1,2,3 and I find very interesting that she goes back and forth with electronic music in english and spanish urban/reggaeton songs, she's like a perfect combinaton of a pop star and urban star but it seems not so much people are connecting with her as a person since she doesn't like to be on the media or posting on social media.
you forgot to mention that she also has a song with Latin Pop Queen Thalia - Como Tu No Hay Dos and that in the 2000s, in Romania, the only Latin artists who managed to conquer Europe and Russia with songs in Spanish were Thalia and Natalia Oreiro, and with their music and their telenovelas. I don't understand why some people say that you have to sing in English to be successful, it's not true..and we have to thank the real queens Thalia and Natalia Oreiro because they were the ones who opened the doors of Europe and Russia.
