My kids aren't super genius, 😊but they are pretty smart. The DIFFERENCE was that our chosen curriculums were much better and taught them critical reasoning skills. Good teachers aren’t being paid enough for what they have to go through, and some shouldn’t be teachers at all. Parents are responsible for their children education and Covid revealed to parents what’s being taught in public schools these days. These parents also went through school and they remember what was taught to them, and what they see now what’s being taught and they’re not having it. They see the agenda. There are more and more people doing home schooling these days and for good reason. There’s stuff being taught that should have no place in schools and that’s what they have a serious problem with.

Some parents don't like basic history concepts taught, so your child would not be ready for college history, politics, sociology or psychology classes. Some parents want to exclude math programs, so your child would not gain the math skills that they will need for our world's economy. Some parents don't believe in football, so if you child is athletic, they won't be able to hone their skills until it is possibly too late. How is this what is wrong in America? She just wants to teach the kids without 100 parents coming in telling her what to each and not teach. Most teaches want to give your kid a very high level of education. But it cannot be done if daily they have someone coming and and saying that from now on you cannot teach that the civil war ever occurred. Or that any math past multiplication and division is a waste so should stop there. Some of us want our kids to be well educated. Want to live around smart kids and people. Hire educated people.

You've only to talk w children to see that nobody is teaching them how to be decent human beings or good citizens. Their social skills are limited to artificial technological interaction and they don't have a clue of how to interact face to face ŵ other ppl bc they don't do it.
Parents are far too busy w their work and careers and lack the time and support they would need to be the primary educators of their kids.

No Practical knowledge beyond basic First Aid! If that! Of course not all new grads were/are like this, but WAAAY too many for comfort! Thankfully many learned differently over the course of time, but as in all professions, not all. All this to say that teachers aren't the only profession with this problem, but they have the most influence over children than others! It is why I thank God that my daughter has the sense, & the ability, both intellectually & financially to have home schooled her children from day one! I went to public school when it was actually a place of learning! Learning the 3 R's, "Readin', 'Ritin', & 'Rithmetic" that is, NOT how to become something you are not! No, I'm wrong! It appears children are being taught to be dissatisfied with life as a whole & to want to make it become how they want it to be, no matter who else gets hurt! Home schooling seems the only answer, so I pray we will see a change making it affordable for all, affordable for one parent to once again stay home in order TO home school their precious children!

I know Philippine geography, Asian geography to world geography, including thier categorization, such as South East Asia or Eastern Europe. We were taught these from elementary to middle school. I used to teach in Adamson University here and I know that a degree does not mean you know what every child needs but it also means you know what a child needs in order to learn because you are an expert in your specialized field. I am not entering into this debate but I am so confused as to what parents want when it comes to the development of the curriculum. Surely I would not trust my father, who was an engineer, to develop a high school curriculum here in our country for history and english since he knowls so little about Philippine history, Philippine, Asian and World literature. So, yes, I am confused why you do not want teachers with Masters to develop the curriculum.
