Prosper Fire Rescue: Working Grass/Brush Fire Response w/Mutual Aid.

On 10/09/23, Prosper Fire Rescue Engine 3 was toned for a Smoke Investigation at First Street & Townlake Blvd around 13:10. It was immediately upgraded to a Grass/Brush Fire and added Brush 1 and BC01. Chief 3 and Brush 2 was added as the fire was spreading rapidly through a large area. Due to the wind, the fire started to move even faster which prompted command to ask for 2 more Brush trucks and then 3 more Brush trucks after that. Brush Trucks came from as close to McKinney to as far as Little Elm. The fire was called under control around 14:20 and was called out around 15:00. The fire burned about 2 acres. Engine 3 and Engine 1 both had water supply’s to fill up the Brush Trucks. Engine 3 had Townlake Command.
Units responded included Prosper Engine 1, Engine 3, Brush 1, Brush 2, BC01, Chief 1, Chief 2, Chief 3, Chief 4, Fire Marshal 3, Frisco Squad 1, Engine 3-31, BC01, Celina Brush 1, Brush 2, Little Elm Brush 621, Brush 623, Aubrey Brush 522 and McKinney Chief 4, Brush 4, Brush 10 and Captain 10.
