Last week was some awful football to watch. This week was the epitome of an acid trip: A really surreal one, where everything is topsy- turvy and all logic must be thrown out the window. If you try to think, you'll lose your mind. This video is as much of an acid trip as this week was. As we try to dissect what happened, we lose our minds. Mostly in the refball featured throughout the league.
It's a bad trip. Brace yourselves. - Sport
I'm just waiting for Tree to drop the "Congrats, Astros!" and "Congrats, Phillies!" videos.
Me too. Get your popcorn ready.
That's what the Hater's Guide will be for

tree doesnt know about baseball at all lmao
Man as a Ravens fan, this past week was nice. We really looked like true contenders. Lamar had one of the best games I've seen from him. Knowing us, we could drop the next game to Josh Dobbs lmao so I'll enjoy this while I can
As a fellow Ravens fan, I share those sentiments. We looked like a true team this past Sunday against Detroit. Both sides showed up and showed out
Yeaa You'll never know we You'll get with our ravens, Just got to hope for the best
Ravens fan and I feel the same way. I seriously hope though they don't fall into this trap and take their opponent seriously.
The entire afc north basically has the same record atm
People keep using the game to tell Lions fans that they are frauds, but while they didn't play great, Lamar would have eaten ANY team alive in the state he was in. No shame in losing to MVP form
Congrats to the Refs for being the only undefeated team left this season. True passion and dedication every week they play
Can’t wait for the MLB Haters Guide to the 2023 World Series, can’t wait to hear what Tree says about the matchup we got 😂
If you had Rangers-D’Backs to be the WS matchup before the season, I’d laugh hysterically.
I just didn't want to see Philly and Houston again
Ironic that the two teams in the World Series are the ones who swept Tree’s predictions in the wild card
It's a great matchup. Very fresh and interesting.
was hoping for tampa bay vs. miami but what we got is much better
That Tyrod Taylor stat for NYG is insane.
Paying Danny derps is looking worse and worse each passing day
I’ve always been a big Tyrod fan, I don’t feel he’s really been given a fair hand in the nfl with the universe basically realigning to make sure he loses a starting job wherever he goes.
Seeing him play again definitely makes me happy, if they didn’t drop a bag on Danny Dunce I’d say they should leave Tyrod in after Jones is healed, but we all know they gotta try to justify that horrid contract somehow.
@@brendan9868It breaks my heart that the only reason we didn't see a full season of him in LA is the incompetence of the Chargers' training staff. And then his replacement was only one of the best rookies ever
@@dfp_01 that was when they accidentally punctured his lung giving him a painkiller right? Yeah that was fucking pathetic, hope that dude got fired tbh
When Tyrod comes in he gets back Saquon AND somehow someway an okay OL and y’all ready to dunk on DJ for that. Keep that same energy when DJ comes back, with those pieces back and shows out

The interesting thing is, everyone actually got one instance of refball wrong this week. Pickett DID get the first down. I'm surprised because I'm not even a Steelers or Rams fan, but every fan and analyst seems like they didn't bother to actually review the film but still complained about it. If you rewatch the plays, specifically the 3rd & 8, and look at the sidelines where the sticks are compared to where the unofficial yellow TV broadcast line is, you can see it's way off and that Pickett gained enough yards on 3rd down to get the first down. The TV broadcast yellow line is why so many viewers were confused. So the refs failed to call the first down on the 3rd & 8. Then what happened is the Steelers snapped the ball PAST the line to gain, gained no yards on the sneak, and got the first down. The error was actually against the Steelers and not the Rams.
Falcons football melted UTree's brain so much it changed his editing style with all those hard cuts 😆
2:47 Yeah I felt awful for Foster after that missed catch. The dude couldn't quite haul it in and he felt like he cost them the game. They kept panning the camera back to him at the end of the game while he was on the bench and the poor guy just looked completely defeated. To keep it short the Saints shot themselves in the foot multiple times that game, and in no way, shape, or form was that loss to be blamed on Foster. I hope he gets the help he needs to get back in the right mental headspace, through the support of his teammates, coaching staff, and fans.
That's 'cause Derek Carr has this wonderful BS ability to shift the blame onto everyone else. _Multiple times_ he threw the ball to where the receiver supposedly *should have been* as if teaching them a lesson. But when you do that instead of throwing to an open receiver, that's on him & he did this repeatedly. _That_ was more responsible for this loss than all the other problems combined.
Besides how tf is this a Regular Problem this far into the season? Do _ANY_ of the coaches on this team do _anything_ with their offense? We shouldn't be seeing this play out during a game.
I'd like to point something else out actually:
Both Younghoe Koo AND Dustin Hopkins got to play the hero this week. They're both capable of hitting long field goals right down the middle in clutch time.
All they had to do was *NOT* be a Charger anymore, and they're GREAT at their job.
Koo has become very clutch for that team, when the Falcons aren't Falconing themselves
Younghoe is legit a top 3 player on the Falcons. Crazy how good he got once he left
Koo kicked 3 straght good onside kicks a few years ago, that alone puts him near the top of the kicker pantheon
Ron Rivera really played himself in that Giants game. The GMen got flag for offensive holding on 3rd and goal and Rivera decided to accept the penalty instead of declining it to force a field goal. Guess what happened? Giants scored their first offensive touchdown in the first half this season. Jaguar Gator 9 featured this moment on Dumb Decisions this week.
ron rivera need to retire
That Superbowl run in Carolina is still clouding how a lot of people see him because he's been pretty shit in Washington.

Dude really said " I play for the saints" like the cop is gonna let him go and wish him luck in the game 😂
The officiating has gotten so bad that now even the league itself is admitting its fucking up.
Will Jim Irsay be the catalyst for much needed change? Thatd be both hilarious and awesome
As a Colts fan, I agree. We got robbed by the refs being idiotic, and at the same time the fact that Jim Irsay opened his mouth means nothing good will happen… just look at how he almost fucked us in the Jonathan Taylor situation.
@crazytrain81 that's what I'm saying. If that idiot ends up being the savior it'd be God damn hilarious
they actually have done that for a while, but CEOs of teams are supposed to keep it private lmaoo. Irsay is a baller
The interesting thing is that the Rams are not the ones who got refballed. The Steelers are. Pickett threw enough yards on 3rd down to get the first down if you rewatch the play. Specifically, look at the sidelines where the TV broadcast yellow line is(unofficial) versus the actual sticks. They're way off by nearly a full yard. They gained enough yards on that third down for a first down. The refs actually spotted the ball poorly for the Steelers even. You can easily see this since the Steelers' player's foot was behind him and was ON the 39 and the rest of his body was far past it. The refs spotted it nearly on the 39 yard line. So what happened was the Steelers had already gained the first down on third, so when they snapped the ball on 4th down and gained no yards from the sneak, the sticks still said the got the first down because they had already gotten it on the previous down in reality.
Your commentary on The Ravens is spot on. The inconsistency drives me crazy. They should, like you say, “embrace their greatness!”.
When you have powerhouses like The Steelers, The Bengals, and a formidable Browns team in you division, you need to be on you fucking A-Game with a lot of consistency or your to get leapfrogged over in the playoff picture.
Can I just say that this is the best this show has ever been? The writing is great! The humour works well! The quick cuts for some scenes! The random inserts of game audio! The intro (I’m CALLING BOTH GAMES). The editing…I can go on. I look forward to this show every week!

Arthur Smith and Desmond Ridder are the NFL’s Jekyll and Hyde experience. It’s infuriating
Also how was MSU-Arkansas not LOLCow of the week? There’s a Greatest Game in there.
I second the MSU-Arkansas LOLCow. The score alone screams wtf
It's really frustrating because Ridder has the potential to be okay. He just cannot stop making ill-advised throws five seconds late.
As an Arkansas fan I'm ready to fake my death and move to Lithuania
@@jok3r906 i'd nominate Michigan State. Not only did they get blasted by Michigan, but they also had a picture of Hitler on their scoreboard. Like come on now.
I'd call it a tie between the officials in the Browns-Colts game and the officials in the Minnesota-Iowa game myself.
Seeing the old school Kelly Green Eagles uniforms brought back so many wonderful memories back all those years ago. Brought a tear to my eye, quite honestly
It’s so refreshing seeing a creator that will actually call out the refs

We just can't let narratives go, can we? The Browns' defense was terrible against the Colts. I don't know how anyone can say that giving up 456 yards and 38 points to a back up quarterback is anything short of horrifyingly inept. It was Myles Garrett who was amazing. He blocked a kick, ran it back to give the Browns a field goal (Cleveland offense contributed 6 yards that scoring drive) and got a sack-fumble in the endzone for a touchdown. Without those plays Cleveland loses badly. They don't have a good defense, they have High End Talent.
Yep. Surprise Tree gave them a pass.
Damn, you've gotten so good at this. Between uTree and JomBoy It's like having prime ESPN back again.

As a Penn State student I completely agree with your judgement
A steelers fan yelling for the ravens to be great and to embrace their was a weird thing to hear but the respect is palpable
17:00 *"How is AJ Dillon regress this badly?"*
It's been an ongoing trend dating back to the middle of last year. Combine that with the fact our O-Line regressing heavily under Luke Butkus (yep, the son of Bears legend Dick Butkus), LaFleur refusing to use Aaron Jones because AJ didn't go to his birthday party last year.
MLFs entire offense is literally RB screens 5 yards behind the LOS (with Dillon), checkdowns 3 yards behind the sticks on 3rd down, jet sweeps for a loss of 3 yards, passing plays that take longer to finish than a chapter of the Iliad, and spamming runs up the middle for either nothing or a loss of 2 yards.
Funny thing is that him saying "we need to execute better / use "x" player more" in interviews has been a recurring trend dating back to his days with the Titans back in 2018 (which is why they were 27th in scoring offense back in 2018).
Ever wonder how Tennessee's offense suddenly improved under Arthur Smith *after* MLF left for the HC gig in Green Bay from 2019-2020? Case dismissed.
Dude is playing too much farming simulator
I have to salute you for the "passing plays that take longer to finish than a chapter of the Iliad" bit.
As a Steelers fan, it's nice knowing I'm going to the Superbowl without an offensive coordinator
The Steelers are gonna get dragged kicking and screaming to a winning record and a playoff game, no matter how much they desperately don't want to
2:58 Idk why but this line slayed me.
Now this is the part where the Lions entirely collapse and go 7-10. At best.
I spat my drink as soon as I saw grossi vs perna over Packers vs Broncos. Lmao 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've never been able to muster hatred for the Ravens either. Growing up Reed and Polamalu were my favorite players.
The whole AFC North is wild. Most of the teams have winning records. And some weeks they all look good or they all look bad. So weird to have such an inconsistent division.
And even crazier is that somehow, my division is nowhere near the dumpster fire that some other divisions are...
Man these videos hit different when your team loses (Depressed saints fan) 😂😂
As a fellow Saints fan, it does, the pain is terrible.
Tree saying he doesn't hate the Ravens is so funny considering he's a Steelers fan
I mean yeah, but he is pretty fair with the ravens. As far as I remember he’s always been a bit a Lamar supporter and has praised the team a good bit in the past, which makes sense. There’s always a bit of a begrudging respect against a strong division rival.
He’s honestly way more critical of the steelers than the ravens, which is pretty goddamn funny
@brendan9868 Steelers have Been in the greatest game alot recently
I'm a steeler pfan in Baltimore, there isn't really that much hate between the teams both hate Cincy more. Both sets of fans remember last decade's bi-annual concussion bowls fondly and players on both sides rebelled against the Shield's crackdown on tackling. Baltimore media scorpstalk loves Tomlin.
I'm still waiting for _SOMEONE_ to realize that outside of the Steelers, the Jags are the next team to stumble to victory more due to the ineptness, problems of other teams or sheer dumb luck. & because they don't have a Watt or Highsmith on D, it's been mostly luck.
Their only game where it looked like both teams were playing at their highest potential, they lost to the Texans. Everything else was inconsistent play (Colts & Falcons including Minshew's Worst Career Game) or of all things, jet-lag (Bills).
Then this week Derek Carr thinks that it's smart to throw incompletions instead of to wide-open receivers in-game to teach lessons from practice. Who tf runs this team, _no one?_ As bad as Dennis Allen is, the Saints *lost* this game way more than the Jags won it. They keep playing passively.
I’m a Ravens fan and I have to say you sounded exactly like me when talking about our game 😂
As always, thank you for the upload Tree! Best in the bizz.
As a Vikings fan, I was almost checked out on the year because I was convinced there was no way they could come anywhere near close to last year's nonstop cocaine rush. What a fool I was.
Oh, those clever bastards. I should have remembered that the Vikings will always seek to hold onto their true title, the Weirdest Team in Pro Sports. And cocaine's back on the menu!
One may say Chicago sent in their Secret Bagent Man to do some Fields’ work 😎
Now I’m eagerly waiting for the “Hater’s Guide to the World Series” to come out soon!!
The sound effect for a field goal makes me laugh *every *time.
I could understand whining about the reffing in the Eagles game if it was a close game... but it wasn't... Eagles won by 2 scores and ended in victory formation at like the 5 yard line
I want to also nominate number 8 on Washington State for lolcow of the week.
For those who don’t know, see PSC highlights, and it’s the one where the title is, “When you have a 0 awareness rating”.

As a Penn State student, by the end of that game I was just hoping we would end up as lolcow so I could get some enjoyment out of that mess.
12:41 honestly I turned that game off after that fumble not knowing it was overturned by a penalty, so I had no idea how the Browns won that game
This last week in sports has been weird...Bears, Vikings, Broncos, Patriots, ... the MLB playoffs (Diamondbacks), the NHL (Leafs beat Lightning but lose to Blackhawks for starters)...
Great as always tree.
And as a Seahawks fan I wish we wouldn’t be so allergic to the red zone and I wish Geno would be more consistent. But I guess 4-2 is 4-2 we need to be better especially with this upcoming stretch

Tree your content is definitely leveling up. The only dead horse that’s been flogged more than the Broncos? The Dan Snyder tragedy. Your video was the most educational, entertaining, through, all that, of any content I’d seen on the topic.
From that moment on I’ve really noticed your content “level up.”
Don’t get me wrong I’m a long time sub and fan, but your work is significantly better than it’s ever been this season. Excellent work.
Kelly Green is such a gorgeous color

Welcome back to Seattle, Frank Clark.
The Seahawks defense is going to be even scarier with his presence. Just need Geno and the offense to actually score more than 20 points a game.

I was waiting patiently for this... came home from work and was surprised this was not on here yet LOL went to sleep, woke up and found it on! Was a nice video to wake up to! 😊
I feel like we will be getting a Yinzer cameo sometime this season.
Week 7 did not disappoint
"On National Tight Ends Day, Belichick turns them into wide receivers"
I thought once Tree went to college ball for Lol Cow of the week, he was going to talk about the Minnesota-Iowa game and the fair catch call on the last punt of the game.
He had a lot of material this week. There was that, MSU, Penn State, and Arkansas.
Tree I know as a Steelers fan you love to say refball benefits them to showcase your self-hating fan side but you tend to ignore any time the refs go against Pittsburgh, like how they were in LA. C’mon man be fair
The refs need press conferences after games to explain their insane calls
As one of the few chargers fans remaining. Its fiting this team is replicating my life. Not supported by much on the outside world or at home, bad guidance and coaching, finally having heaps of talent to get me through life, but never amounting to truly big in life, but achieving the bare minimum at least. Despite this, i still love this team despite taking years off my life with pain. At least i have my will and optimism
I’ve noticed that you’re doing some cutaway moments again, such as the one about Deshaun Watson at 11:31. I remember you did this during Week 1 of 2021-22 Sportsball, and they’re much funnier this time around.
It’s so crazy we’ve been doing this since 2017 Week 1
I'm legit surprised as well. It started as an experiment I wasn't sure I was going to do every week.
Life is strange, man.
Sportsball today is the only thing to bring me joy after that epic Phillies collapse. God damn Philly sports always have to make everything into a Shakespearean tragedy.
As a Penn state fan thank you for nominating us as lolcow of the week, it’s deserved
I love the comedy bits where the commentary switches from fade-ins/fade-outs to just simple cut-to-cut and zooming in with each cut 😂😂 keep this up, Yinzer-Man!
This is what I feel as a Ravens fan! I didn't even feel happy with that win (plus I've been rooting for Detroit on the down low, so it didn't help to see a curb stomp). It was just, where is this offense weekly?
If you can stay healthy it's a Superbowl team.
If.
It ain’t a complete week till we’re calling both games
"I play for the Saints, man!"..."and?" LOL!
Yes I needed this 🙏
I was legit surprised in that game vs the lions, I was expecting a back and forth contest not a complete Run over squash. Either way I will gladly take a Dominate W from my Ravens 🟣⚫️
I'm a Ravens fan, but my team sucks. It's actually terrible to see them play. Last week was surprising, although not too much (it was against the Lions, which God hates).
Hopefully I'm wrong and this team improves, but so far I'm not impressed
As a Titans fan, maybe I should start rooting for the Eagles. They have enough of the players I like. Maybe they can send them Henry, too. That's about all I'd need to buy new jerseys.
Off work and I'm very happy to see Sportsball has dropped 🔥🔥🔥
I'm not going to lie as a Browns fan. I was mad when you called Cleveland the new Pittsburgh Steelers but it's true and it's hilarious, does this mean in the next 20 years we're going to have two super bowls
The Browns have been on the GIVING end of refball more in the last two weeks than they have ever since they came back in 1999. (At least, that's my understanding of it. My parents have been Browns fans since well before I was born in 1995.)
It's between them and the Lions of course. They both look like playoff teams (at least the Browns do as long as Myles Garrett stays healthy.) I hope they both make it. That'd be fun to watch.
A fresh out the oven Sportsball? Time to enjoy 🍿
I always feel that fire in my guy when I get my weekly dose of Sportsball
