- Those home blues were banished in style as the Dons once again produced a display full of attacking intent with Ali Al-Hamadi's hat-trick leading the charge.
That's seven goals in the last two games for a rampant Dons side - and this highly impressive 4-1 victory - our first home league win this season and first here since March - offered more than a hint that this could be a season of real improvement.
The mood around the Cherry Red Records Stadium certainly suggested so, a real buzz around the ground after another swashbuckling display. Prior to this afternoon, such attacking swagger had been reserved for our travelling supporters with all our league victories having been achieved on the road.
However, that all changed emphatically as Al-Hamadi's stunning hat-trick after Armani Little's opener kept the Dons fighting at the right end of the table after last season's toils, our home faithful toasting a revitalised much-changed squad.

Ali is amazing player 😮
SO proud of this Club - one of our best games since 1889. In the 88th minute, Ali Al-Hamadi didn't just score a hat-trick, but he put us three goals ahead - the biggest ever win at the New Plough Lane and, excluding friendlies, only our second 3-goal-deficit win in over two years!
What;s so impressinve about Al-Hamadi is his workrate - whether he's scoring, assisting or linking up, he's doing his bit for the team.
Even when not scoring, he was contributing - that's the mark of a quality player.
A hat-trick has been so rarely deserved - Ali thoroughly earned that one.
To be one of four to score a hat trick for us in the football league? That's special. Congratulations ali

I don't think the tackle was vicious, just bad. Certainly a red though - and to be fair, the Tranmere player didn't really contest it.
