in 2013, after a surgery, I had PE in both of my lungs and since then I still suffer as my breathing is not the same since I get dyspnoea everyday. I also have a leak in my heart, left side, and Friday I found out that the right side of my heart is enlarged. At the hospital, it took them two days to realize that I needed blood transfusion, 4 units, so I am wondering if this has anything to do with the PE? Also, I always feel tightness in my chest and throat and my breathing is no longer the same as at times it feels like I am gasping for air… even swallowing at times can be a bit difficult. I am able to function normally meaning I have a full time job as I have always been an energetic person but there are times I feel quite tired. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
I suffered from multiple blood clots in the lungs ( 2015 ) that came from a DVT that resulted in Pulmonary Embolism. I take Warfarin medication long term ( life ). I feel good after my recovery although I suffer with quite bad fatigue, also like yourself ... my breathing has never got back to normal. I saw your comment here and would just like to wish you all the very best for further recovery with the best of good health, wellness and Wellbeing. Michael, England UK 🇬🇧
@@michael7286thank you so very much for your kind words and for sharing your story. I hope that have fully recovered by now and that your life is back to normal. I no longer take medication but my breathing is not the same. I apologize for replying now. I hope that you’re enjoying your summer Michael from the UK… hope to live there at some point. I now get pneumonia every time I get a cold. Doctor says I don't breathe deep enough to clear my lungs. I watch a video that PE can mess with your heart if they are large. I also believe the veins are permanently damaged. Because I know that my DVT veins are very damaged. I also have asthma after the clot. I also can't breathe in masks. Found that out during covid. I almost passed out at Walmart because I was moving around. My lips started going numb.
