When I did mine I drilled into the weld then around the weld then used a hammer and chisel and had mine out rather clean in no time, any left weld I used a bigger hammer and flattened, then I painted the bare metal, didn't fancy sparks
I just finished this job, I removed seats too but left drivers base but I was running wiring and fitting a battery. Far easier with seats removed. Have to be careful with the sparks as these can melt into the glass.
You’ve managed to do this a lot quicker than me! I removed the seats, pushed back the ‘carpet’, pulled up the ply floor, and ended up taking a lot of time to grind down each weld. I avoided making any holes and left it all pretty smooth. Just putting a second coat of metal paint on tonight. I know it’s all covered up… so not sure all the extra effort was worth it! Took me bloody ages. I think I’ll be fitting a double swivel seat and some other bits while it’s all in pieces.

Ace, well done 👍🏼🎥🚐
Melt into the glass is correct and paint, plastic etc
I’m doing this this weekend. Thanks for the video mate. Very helpful. I’m taking the seats and cabin mat out as I’m going to have a good dig out
Just use a spot weld drill bit
Top man!!! I was wondering how can I get it out? Now I know exactly!!! Thanks for Sharing!!!
No problem 👍

Another cracking video Gordon 👌😃
Thanks Russell, really appreciate the encouragement mate 👍🏼🎥🚐
Pls cover your glass 🤦🏼♂️
I’ll be covering my glass when I do it!!
You can buy a spot weld removal drill bit. Then no need for grinder. Might be better option.
For sure, those sparks are scary!!!
Wears the Hat ?
Lol, it will feature again! 🤦🏻♂️👍🏼🎥🚐
