Finally, someone who gets straight to the point w/o all the fluff talking... Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
“‘step away from the jamaican black castor oil”
me : 😮
Lmaoo I know many others had to have that same reaction
I just about dropped my phone when she said that......
Why?
@@elizaarianakhan3898 JBCO does not work for everyone and it is an extremely thick oil that sometimes causes scalp irritation. I suggested the use of grapeseed oil if people are seeking an alternative to JBCO. Grapeseed oil does not block the hair pores and I do not experience an itching sensation that I typically get from JBCO when I use it too frequently. I also have low porosity hair and lighter oils work best in my routine ☺️
@@GardenedCoils My hair totally hates JBCO, my shedding was horrible and my scalp was always itching which never happened with other oils. I use almond, grapeseed, peppermint, Shea Butter oils, NO problems at all, nothing but growth and healthy hair. JBCO was NOT for me, in the TRASH it went! It's the lighter oils for me also.
What a pretty face :-)
Thank you 😊
💯😍
Hey there! I just uploaded a new video on my channel that shows how I make my DIY thickening hair mask. You should check it out ☺️ czcams.com/video/dIRRhf3VT4Y/video.html
You may be into something ... I went natural almost ten years ago and my hair was so thick and it felt as if my hair was growing overnight and I used grape seed oil religiously.. my hair hasn’t been the same since I’ve been over styling and wearing wigs ... thanks I will be using grape seed oil
Yessss trying going back. I’m confident that you’ll see a difference. I wish I learned about grapeseed oil earlier in my healthy hair journey. I was using coconut oil before and DRYING my hair out
My hair do not like coconut oil it dries my hair out.
@@esterrhodes5618 Sis, my hair asked me for a divorce when I started out with CO, my hair wasn't having none of it periodd!!
😆
@oh thats Lauren
How many times a week did you use the oil treatment? And how long did you have it in your hair?
Girl you are telling the truth I have been following some hair pros but found out that they only want high volume of followers and do not care that what they are telling is damaging your hair because you see them with long healthy hair but it took them many years to achieve that lengthy. I am glad you are telling and exposing the truth thank so much.
Thank you so much Sonya! When I was just getting started on my healthy hair journey, I use to go through so many videos trying to figure out why I was not achieving the same results that others had. Since then, I’ve just always aimed to reached the maximum level of healthy hair that I can. I may not have the thickest or longest hair, but I do my best to maintain it and reach my goals 🙌🏾
Thank you.
My hair fell out from all those oils for hair growth. Now that I stepped away from oils and elastic bans my has grown back and thickened. Ladies just keep it trimmed and moisture moisture moisture is the key..Stay away from brushing your hair and buns..Use your ✋s and find styles that do not require pulling and tightly ponytail styles ponytail ext..
your voice is very calming 🥺
Thank you!
yes, I love her accent.
You s pretty
Thank you so much for the tips I will definitely be using grapeseed oil, and avocado .
You are so welcome!
These are some very helpful tips! You're so right about the JBCO! It doesn't work for everyone. All it done was weigh my hair down causing shedding and scalp irritation. Going to start using grapeseed oil to thicken my hair and using jbco for hot oil treatments. Going to use knee highs instead of the head bands. The headbands always hurt by me being tender headed. Thanks for sharing! 🤗
Thank you so much! Those head bands hurt me too. I use to get serious migraines because of them.
Lol. Handsie Hannah. Some people can't stop touching. I have naturally thick hair, but it's a far cry from what it use to be when I was younger. You reminded me to do hot oil treatments like my mom did when I was young. She also included deep conditioner and aloe vera treatments.
I have never enjoyed a natural hair video so much lol you are sooooo funny
Lol thanks so much for tuning in Amber! ☺️
Hey there Amber! Happy New Year! I just uploaded a new video on my channel that shows how I make my DIY thickening hair mask. You should check it out ☺️ czcams.com/video/dIRRhf3VT4Y/video.html
The JBCO is best to regrow edges. Going to try the grape seed oil for the rest of my hair. New subbie here.
Agreed! Thanks so much for watching Ruby. I hope your new year is off to an amazing start ☺️
Thank you girl!! and you are so beautiful 😍😍😍. I have been using Grape seed oil and I can say my hair has been thickening, so thank you for the confirmation!!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Grapeseed oil mixed with avocado oil is DA BOMB,B!!😆😆😆
@@valerieneal2747 I agree!!!
*honorary mention grease and water worked for me, I left castor oil and went back to the basics
Yes!
Great tips and thanks for explaining everything. I’ve tried grape seed and almond oil in my regimen before but stopped because I didn’t see a difference. I’ll try it the ways you suggested.
Thanks so much for tuning in Keyona. I hope that the tips work well for you!
Girl you a whole vibe lol "why are you not using this" 🤣
And that oil on the knee high tip was phenomenal 👌🏾
Slim thick!! Say that. Thanks for taking me back to what apparently was working. I had the DE avocado line and can’t say why I stopped using it. Grape seed oil was one of my staples and then I became a product junky. Always on to the next hoping to achieve faster or better results. Rewind time. Great tips and solid advice with a dope personality. Slay on!!
I feel this! Sometimes we move away from what really use to work. As long as we get back, that’s all that matters! I’ve had a couple of things that I had to put back in my regimen as well.
I use to add flax seeds to my smoothies!
Love them!
I have straight and black hair. I want to thicken my hair. Your hair is absolutely godlike. Good Job!
Thank you so much! Thickening my hair has been such a journey but I am staying strong.
@@GardenedCoils Keep doing ya thing sister!

I made a aloe Vera gel, , coconut oil, and avocado. I was shocked!! My hair felt so good . Better, than most of my conditioners!!!
And I have to say I wear my hair in as cute style what’re I don’t have to comb it ,and no flat iron. I am seeing a lot less breakage.
If nothing you said it works it doesnt matter bc i love how you talk. I miss having friends like you!
This is so awesome! Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous and your tips are really on point!!!
This is one of the most helpful video I’ve ever watched out of most
Thank you so much. I’m glad it was helpful ☺️ In case you are interested in receiving a specific product recommendation, I just uploaded a video a few days ago outlining how I make a hair mask that has helped to thicken my hair and how it should be applied
You ain’t never lied on the wash n gos and how stressful they can be with all that shingling and what not
Yesssss just too much
Once or twice a year for me 🤣🤣🤣
I think it's also the technique, I don't shingle when I do a wash n go and I don't lose a lot of hair.
@@missyolygo yeah I just don’t like them on me so I’m sure my technique isn’t the best. I loves me a good chunky twist-out tho
@@twill1007 I get it. I usually wear braid outs because it stretches the hair more. My wash n gos are stretched too, that way I can avoid knots and excessive breakage.
Oatmeal with chia seeds and Flax seeds grew my hair like crazy.
Hey! Were you consuming them or applying it to your hair? I’m just curious and would love to give it a try. I’ve heard about some people applying oatmeal to their hair so I’m not sure if that’s what you were implying.
.
@@GardenedCoils You eat it in oatmeal or smoothie, You don't apply it to your hair.
Coming from someone with naturally thick hair, being a handsy hannah results in thinning eventually.. I wasn’t properly moisturizing and was constantly playing in my hair. I noticed my hair wasn’t feeling as dense, and well, here I am 🤷🏽♀️
@4:28 I don't use the shampoo because it contains multiple coconut oil deravites (cocomadopropyl betaine, etc). Coconut oil does NOT agree with my hair. The derivatives aren't as drying, but they do dry. If the derivatives were lower in the list, it might be an option. Thank you for the tips.
Thank you so much for sharing that. I’m still in the process of learning about all ingredients so this is helpful. Learning the ingredient lists on these hair products is definitely a skill. I appreciate it ☺️
@@GardenedCoils Most welcome! I had to research because I kept trying to figure out why my hair was dry, rough, kinked, etc. Have a blessed weekend.
Excellent video! I will incorporate more grapeseed oil and flaxseeds into my regimen. I just bought another bag of avocados yesterday and had already planned to start making hair masks. This video was right on time, thanks for sharing this information with us. 🥰
I’m glad to hear it! Your hair will thank you for it ☺️
SISTA WITH LONG HAIR has been saying grapeseed oil for years. She is WL and i am leaving the JBCO behind as I just purchased some grapeseed oil yesterday. Great video!
Guilty! Elastic ties and being a “Handsy Hannah”! Lol! I love your personality and the tip on using a knee hi with oil on it. I’ll try that. I’m going to try hard to leave my hair alone. I just love how it feels after years of being relaxed and weaved. I love all this cotton!
I definitely understand and it’s amazing that you’re in love with your hair and embracing it. Even if you can slowly start reducing how much you manipulate it, that will go a long way 😊
I know you’re a bomb poet! You have a poet attitude! Love your video!! Will update you!
Thanks for this. ❤️ I am trying to get my thinnish hair thicker so this helps. I hated eating flaxseed... I regret throwing it out now since i could have used it for my hair 😪. Oils tend to be pretty pricey this side but will check out the grapeseed one. Thanks!
Get a density hair serum like the ordinary or grow gorgeous that deals with density also get a keratin collagen hair spray that will increase your density
you are so young and cute to me, :) Your knowledge of hair is phenomenal!! " Step Away from the Jamaican Black Castor Oil"......I love it.
Thank you so much ☺️
Great tips, I still do hot oil treatments. I stop using elastic bands some years ago they break hair indeed.
Carramel Fit Yes they do! I’ve used “banana clips” to do puffs as well
Thanks for being honest. Everything you said not too I have been doing and wondering why my hair is thinning like it is.🤦 I was actually thinking about just cutting off and starting all over.
Healthy foods + exact products for your hair type = thicker hair- meaning u can get dreads, twists, Kinky curls, without exposing your skin. 😊 bald spot free.
Yesss for the tshirt headbands. I use old leggings and drench it in oil, anything else breaks in my hair!
Don't forget to use ground flax to get the best benefits for consumption!
I really like this video. I will add henna treatments to the list. It used to do wonders for my fine hair and I would do it once a month. However, henna will tint your hair slightly orange. My sandy brown hair was dark auburn and I didn't mind because my hair was full. If you have dark hair it will be ok, the color won't show as much. But I am going grey and I really want to rock the grey hair but henna tints my white stands orange. That's why I am doing a new reserch for my fine hair and that's how I found this great video. Thank you for the advice!
Thanks for this tip...my hair is very thin and I’ll try anything tbh
You should try cassia. It works the same as henna but it doesn't color hair.🙏🏾
@@nubiankmtwq6333 unfortunetly cassia doesn't Come close to henna
Love your passion for healthy hair.... Well done!
Thank you for all of this assistance thank you for telling the truth I have thin hair very fine hair I was able to thicken my hair by only doing it once every other week when I have braided my hair in plaques mind you I will never put extensions in my hair ever again I've done it twice and each time it has pulled my hair out I use what is so-called human hair it was slightly longer than my own hair still pulled by hair out it broke my hair off little by little so I am recognizing us people with this fine hair and extremely curly hair need to stop touching it
Take your blasted hand out your hair- yup Caribbean .
😂😂😂 absolutely!
I was going to ask if you are Guyanese?
@@lezbugy7306 maybe she is... I don’t know .. but I’m jamaican ..
thank you, I want my hair to get a lot thicker. I went natural a few years ago and went vegan about a year ago
Me too
I thought I was the only one who's hair does NOT like coconut oil! Thank you so much for this video. Subscribing!!
I've been looking and searching high and low for 'others' that had experienced a bad reaction to castor oil as I have. It had me fiercely itching like crazy, for days even if I just put a dab on my scalp. So I stopped it and tried another brand...same result! My scalp was not having it because I had scratched it to the raw. Never again will I use it. I have the same fine hair as yours, IDENTICAL. I will be adopting these suggestions of yours and see how it goes. I'd like to make my silk fine hair more thicker too. Thank you, love.
Omg so I’m not the only one I thought something was wrong with me!! So that’s going in the garbage
Handsy Hannah here! 😔 Unless it’s in a puff, my hands stay in it. Ugh. I was in here chopping veggies when you started speaking to ME about the elastic bands. My neck snapped over to the phone like... “is she looking at me right now?” That Wng on my fine hair-NOPE. I’ve learned.
NaturallyCorporate 😂😂😂 I use to be a Handsy Hannah myself. I had to try my hardest not to be messing in my hair. & yesssss those elastic bands are terrible!
someone explained the difference between regular castor oil and Jamaican black castor oil... regular is just pressed regularly. black castor oil is roasted first then some of the ashes are added back in to give it that dark color... I forgot which one is which but one is more acidic and the other is more alkaline and should be used according to what you need... so if you hair is too acidic use the more alkaline one and vice versa.
Lol... I've not been using it because I didn't know about it. Thank you for educating me.
That intro though....I feel it! 😏
I just found this channel I hope she comes back lol
Hunni your skin is so pretty!! 😊😀
I love grapeseed oil and avocado oil. I make my own hair products and those 2 + almond oil are staples in all my products!

Your skin is glowing and you have a very youthful and look. I love it! Thanks for this video. Also I didn’t enjoy design essentials products but I didn’t try the shampoo so I will and come back with how I feel!
I don’t know… my natural hair is very thick but when I blow dry or straighten… it becomes thin
So glad you popped up on my feed, been needing some real advice. Bless you beautiful! Thank you!

You are on point also my hair was 16inches long cutting to 14 inches when I cut my hair was so thick I didn't even know because of that dead ends thanks for your tips from the Caribbean Trinidad
I messed up my scalp by using too much oil🤦🏾♂️ I wish I knew this beforehand.
when you said to get my hands out my hair i literally yelled IM TRYINGGGG 😭😭😭 lmaoooo
Ive actually used it before and its a great product
Continued success beauty. In subacribed!🤗💗
Hi there Debra. Thank you so much for the support. I hope you’re having an amazing start to the new year!
Uggghhh I was counting on eating that avocado! lol great video.
You shared some great tips..I’m natural..big chop...use. JCO and hardly seen any growth in 8 months...
I would suggest giving grapeseed oil a try. I know that the Jamaican black castor oil does not work for some people and historically it does better with growing the nape area and edges of hair as opposed to growing hair overall for some people. I would also encourage you to play around with different oil blends to find something that works for you. Oil also does not work for some.
Thank you so much for this video. Excellent info. I have avocado Shampoo and conditionee. I believe its the very one you showed. We need to be careful and.make sure the product has good alcohols Thanks
Please come back! We miss you.
I literally jus bought Design Essential products yesterday 🤗 keep hearing about then boom I come across this video
Going to try your tips! Thanks sis :)
Castor oil is good, but some people put salt in it and that is what causes problems.
😅😄 I love you💕 "... if you can get your hair to slim thick..." You're too cute. I love your tips and spot on with the grapeseed oil & avocados👍🏾 I put my own hair Elixir on the market!
THANK YOUUUU. That JBCO is suspect. I kept hearing about it. Finally tried it.
1) It made my scalp ITCH. I thought it was just me being sensitive. So, I experimented on my guys when I was working on their hair. Didn't tell them and watched them. They were scratching on those spots I put it on. The bottle got put up. Smh
2) It's too thick for my thin strands. Even a little bit
I wish I had seen this video before I threw away 2 avocados that tasted so bad. I had been looking forward to eating them. Ugh Could have used them on my hair.
same hear with that black castor oil i thought i was tripping....it leaves my scalp itchy and possibly i feel like its thinning my hair
JCBO made my scalp itchy too. I went to sweet almond oil(ahhh) and carrot oil(mmmm). Add these to your oil blend, you'll see growth.
I'm allergic to Jamaican black castor oil so this is great. Thanks ☺️
Good Job Doll!
Gardened Coils can you do a video on your Avocado and Design Essentials Shampoo mixture. Real Soon Please. It can just be a Short Video. I would really like to see your Wash Day Routine when using the mix.

That knee-hi trick is very smart, especially with adding some oil to it before using it to style your hair.
