welcome to the club..... re-mapped mine last year, now churning out 369bhp...phenomenal ... lost normal mode but..... now got Sport...Sport+.....and Holy Shit mode.... well worth it.....
i have a z4 2003 since 15 years. to be honest it's a real roadster, no luxury, pure, canvas top plus 200hp, manual gearbox. the hard top in my opinion is crap. your car looks cool, no question and with 340hp you're ready to fly...smile..have fun with your car and be free as a bird...best wishes
You should retrofit the LCI flappy paddles and LCI Side indicators. Other mods you should also consider are a Quaife LSD and a Smarttop control unit if your car doesn't have Comfort Access. Also, the 35iS has 335bhp not 340. 340 is the value of Power in PS.
It’s faster than the old auto because that box is ancient and naff but if you get a 35i or 35is you get a DCT which is lighting fast and has 7 speeds with shorter ratios so is much much faster than the manual
That's the same 306hp N54 engine as spec'ed in most 335i right? do you know you could get a stage 1 tune and a intercooler upgrade next thing you know, you're running 400hp? not to talk of bolt ons and bigger single turbo to shoot you up to 700hp.
Ben I wondering so heavy.. This with LSD for better cornering ( because of rwd ) and my question is will this car brake out in corners quick.. where I live is like the Netherlands is the same weather as there where you living.. and I can’t choose.. between the z4 35.. or the m240xi .. what would you chose.. because the z4 is a coupe and cabrio at the same and with the roof closed it also looks so insane gorgeous.. but I doesn’t have 4wd for a fast drag by the traffic lights and everything.. please give me your most explained answer.. great content buddy you deserve so much more subs!!
I'm biased to say z4. I loved the car and miss it so so much. Even though it was rwd it did have amazing grip and rarely broke traction. Plus has launch control, perfect for your drag racing 😜
Ben Rayne men thanks so much for the quick response I was just in the middle of another video of you ahah I would definitely recommend your channel when carwow drops a new video because more people should take a look at it cheers !
Why do the widebody kits for this car cost as much as the car I was looking at the Varis kit costs $18,995 and that's the standard price for 3 different companys.
you know you can open the roof just by holding open on fob for 3 secs...... hold close to repeat..... sorry if i'm insulting your intelligence...... i had mine for 3 months never knew.....
BMWZ4 35isboy On mine you have to hold the button for the entire time it takes for the roof to go down otherwise it stops. So annoying. Do t think no e closes tho will have to try tomorrow
My Z4 35is came with run flat tires. It is very uncomfortable and it has resulted in multiple cracked wheels. It’s been costly to replace tires and fix the cracked 19” wheels. Any advice will be appreciated.
@@be1441 I appreciate your response. I have thought about it, problem is I will need a spare tire and there is no space in the trunk to store one. Worst of all, the rear driver side already has 10 cracks, rear passenger side has 5 cracks all very visible. It’s only a matter of before they crack all the way to start a leak. The cost of fixing one crack is $125. It’s a dilemma.
You're right the best thing about the car is the gorgeous sounding exhaust but you go and ruin the opening shot of the video by having stupid music playing over it!
Mathias Jacobsen to be fair, it was quite strange on BMW’s part to be using the older engine at the time when the N55 was being introduced to other models. Not sure why they decided to do that.
American here. Absolutely love hearing you guys from the UK talk about the "pops and bangs" lol

BMWZ4 35isboy I'm debating 're mapping mine, want 400bhp
Ben Rayne with 400hp you need to change some hardware!
😂😂😂😍

Thinking about buying one! Thx for this great video!! Regards from Vienna 😊
Do it! I loved my 35is and miss it so so much. Fantastic cars
Hard top is far better than the crazy jealous vandal prone option. Your car is amazing. I only have the e89 2.0 model but I love it.
I just got a 2003 Z4 , one owner 74 thousand miles looks brand new and I am in Love with it! Know exactly where you are coming from!
I just bought a 2011 z4 sDrive35is... I love it so far!! Cheerz!
@@DR_socal have you had any problems with the car so far?

Any idea how to make the silver headlight lashes on the 2009 look more like LCI ones?
4:57 hey it’s Joel 😂
I have 23i manual. If had another it would be auto. The manual box is a bit clunky and slow, yet supposed to be slightly faster than auto.
I have the 2.0 manual model I would have liked the auto but they are hard to come by. I still love it tho.

How are you getting away with no front number plate. Please tell me
Never been pulled, tough wood

Ditch them and get a set of michelin pilot spot 4S

you can drive fobless as well......
Just bought a 3.5si. 2010. 25000 miles.
Exhaust gas comes out of nearside tail pipe but very little out of offside pipe...is this right/ok ??
Probably due to the valve in one of the tips

How did you manage to get insured on this? How old are you do you mind me asking? And does ncb make a difference?
Joe I've only just turned 23. I have 4 years ncb I think
3rd party on an 83k car will be quite a lot cheaper as they wont have to payout much when he crashes it
Sheila Morrison get your facts right first you know nothing
You're debating its age and mileage? Those are the facts. Either way i bet its crazy expensive to insure that anyways?
What wheels are on this anyone?
Just m3/m4 reps 👌
You're right the best thing about the car is the gorgeous sounding exhaust but you go and ruin the opening shot of the video by having stupid music playing over it!
Ow ok 😂 sorry I guess
Is the exhaust fully stock? Compared to my E85 3.0i it sound so cool
the first thing is it looks like every other bmw from front and back is boring. The side view is blah, a bit like the z4.
The turbo is twinscroll, not two turbo's.
Mathias Jacobsen pretty sure they still use the N54 in the Z4?
@@rare6499 you are correct, i have read false information

Josh Charlie they did the same with the 1 series
The N 54 has two Turbos!!!
