Love to watch when you are trying things different because it helps encourage me to go ahead and try different things too. I recently started doing acrylic on my dominant hand using my nondominant. I used to always do dip or gel or even full cover tips because I hated struggling to lay it perfectly. Now, I am getting much better with it! Thank you for always showing us we can do things as long as we try 💜

Hi vee! Question: could you explain why you didn’t cap the acrylic with clear? Notpolish doesn’t make “cover acrylics” so when do you chose to cap certain colors?
I cap colored acrylic & glitters. I like to make my nude nails all nude instead so it’s nice & opaque since they color is a little more on the sheer side. The more pigment a color powder has the less strength the acrylic has to it so you want to cap to make up for it. Hope that helps & makes sense ☺️

Okay I’ve been doing the polygel nails. And I’ve gotten better with my non dominant hand. Do you have any tips on how to get polygel to stay longer?? I feel like mine always break so easily. Hence, how I found myself here wanting to try acrylic 😬😂 do you think it would be easier to try with tips first??
Yes, working with the non dominant hand can be a struggle and I'm not sure if it'll ever get easier... 😤🤣
By the way, as I'm sure someone has already mentioned, why don't you put a thin clear layer first as your base, so that way you can remove the form, even shape it a little bit, then place whatever you want on top and you can always go back to it when you want to redesign your nails without completely removing everything and start all over again?! 😉
