World Refill Day | Transforming Society Short Film Award 2022 | Shortlisted

The short film was created to launch World Refill Day, generating awareness, mobilising individuals and building a movement. It was designed to highlight both the problem and the solutions, inspiring people to get involved and find ways to reduce waste. We wanted to connect people to the juxtaposition between our current single-use disposable lifestyle and the simple actions that we can all make in our everyday lives.
The goal was to capture people’s attention in a high-impact way, introducing the plastic problem and the wider issues that are connected to it such as the climate crisis and the social inequalities created by the distribution and mismanagement of waste on a global scale, as well as provide a clear and simple call to action that was accessible and affordable for everyone.
