Booker T is one of the main reasons I fell in love with wrestling as a young boy. The ability to create and become a character absolutely fascinated me and Book was certainly one of the best ever to do that.
Everyone who wasn't Hogan was mid-card at that point! Even Goldberg was after they took the belt from him! Booker does concede that winning belt did change his career and how he was viewed. He said that Hogan was the big name. His point was that Hogan didn't NEED the belt! Hogan was already Hogan. What would Hogan have gained from winning the belt for the umpteenth time vs Booker who had never held it?! That's what Booker was questioning.

Normally, I'd be skeptical of these salt levels, but considering Hulk Hogan's influence in WCW and how much of an asshole he was/is/will always be, I totally believe Booker T.
If I were a pro wrestler in the position ANY star is in, Id put EVERYBODY over, it's great for business and for story telling, making stars all across the company and making fans and many amazing memories, it's a shame hogan has this insecurity, perhaps he knew he wasn't as good as he thought he was and worried if he wasn't champ, he couldn't get back to the top by pure talents/charisma alone. selfishness is a poison.
Putting "everyone over" isn't how the business works. There has to be a pecking order and vision of where it's going. Unfortunately Hogan didn't know when to put anyone over.
