Hacking is using a computer to gain unathorized data from a system. I'm pretty sure getting someone's I.P. so that you can DDOS someone is unathorized xD

To be fair, he is kinda stupid for thinking a DoS/DDoS attack is hacking.
DDosing isn't hacking, but to get their I.P. in the first place, you have to hack.
It's Taaco No. If you are the host of the lobby, you can simply use a program like WireShark (Wire shark is PC, I have no idea what people use for consoles, i am not a console gamer) to see all the traffic going in and out of your router. COD hosts are chosen by who ever has the best internet and can give every one the lowest average ping. So if you have good internet, or are the host of a private lobby, you can easily get someones IP. And then feed their IP into a DOS/DDoS. The DOS are usually free, and if they used this then you can easily contact your ISP when it happens, and they send a fine straight to their door and alert their ISP possible resulting in a canceled subscription.
"Script kiddie" is the correct term here. Defined as someone who uses a program but has no actual idea on how it works. Any one can host a COD lobby (PC) double click WireShark and get a list of their IP's, and then feed them into a DOS website for free. Or pay for DDoS. (While there may be some free DDoS oout there, they usually aren't free. And if they are, it is likely malware and is using your computer as a bot to aid in these DDoS attacks.)
