I remember when we my siblings and I were children during the 70s, were use to watch the "Carol Burnett Show" as a family my mom use to live that show and so did we. But I really believe her favorite was Tim Conway. He was such a genius at work. He had made us laugh all over the world for years. I would always go back years after the show stopped airing and watch it on CZcams. These moments are timeless and I will always cherish these memories ❤️. Thank you momma 😘❤️♥️ for introducing us to real and clean comedy. I love and appreciate you and I will always cherish you and I miss you with each passing day😢. ***** Yes they were great but i do think that harvey would loose it on purpose in order to get more laughs from the audience since it made the audience die laughing to watch them loose it. Not to mention i saw too many sketches where harvey looked like he was acting when he would loose it. either way SNL has nothing on these guys. It always turned me off to watch harvey loose it when i realized he was doing it on purpose. Jimmy falon on SNL also does it on purpose its quite obvious and i think less of his talent for doing so. but hey whatever makes the people happy but i think what this show in particular could of used was more cow bell haha

    • @sassbrat

    • @pandarama67
      @pandarama67 Před 9 lety +1

sassbrat yeah maybe so or the times he did loose it cause he couldn't control himself made the audience die laughing so the cast wanted to continue knocking them dead that way. But hey making them laugh is what its all about as long as you can make the audience believe its real. But if you can't then its a real turn off and unprofessional as well. Jimmy falon on SNL did it to the extent that i think less of his talent.for it.

I laughed my head off 40 years ago when I watched it, and as an octogenarian, I watched it again tonight and I laughed just as hard.
I think that if you don't see the humor, then no amount of explaining will help.
I don't say that to be condescending or as an insult.
I honestly think that "humor" is and can be, as individual as eye color and height.
I spent some time thinking about how I could explain it to you, and honestly, I think one either "feels" the humor, or not.
      Maybe it's a generational thing?
But this skit has always cracked me up.
My late husband used to feel the same way.
I think that some of the "humor" stems from the fact that a lot of the dialogue is ad libbed, and we KNOW that the others are trying not to laugh.

babyrazor Oh now see, how rude, you brought up politics in a free zone, so I have to counter with religion & say, Baptists, they hate it when others have fun, and will drive slowly in the left lane to enforce the speed limit. ( NOT THEIR JOB )They will drive slowly in front of a fire truck!! "Left lane Baptists", is a saying for a reason!!
I laughed like a maniac when I saw this sketch, (the old fireman) & I vote anti GOP for giggles!!
I laugh in the voting booth, just for good measure.
Liberals are laughing with Alec Baldwin, and Randy Rainbow, A LOT.
Oh, and here is a joke, hope you like it,
What is brown smells, like poo and has no sense of humor-------KellyAnn Conway the Human Suppository !!!!!
      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

@@wendettavaughnwanner3150 I am more conservative than I am liberal, and babyrazor's comment was so unnecessary and stupid. Why ruin a good reminiscence with a political thing like that? Good grief.
