Piggy is the only Roblox game that didn’t end because of some grand mistake, but rather, the story ended. They are not money hungry
true, piggy also had many paths to take , surviver/saviour for book 2, bad and good ending for book 1, and minitoon kept in touch with his community, cant wait to see where doors takes the roblox horror scene

This might not be related, but piggy is not repetitive because there’s a build mode so it really killed piggy was the updates
Doors is only “dying” because the game takes ages to update. And that makes sense considering the higher quality of each floor. When floor 2 comes out thid game will one again get over 100k concurrent players or even more.

Technically, The Hunt revived DOORS from the new event. The new mode is horrifying, the main game is more adventure.

The mimic, Piggy and Doors are the 3 games people tell you about when talking about horror in roblox. Think about that.
No one says piggy; it is practically an adventure game, and a very few amount of people say the mimic. Its almost always doors.

I appreciate how you didn’t judge piggy on how much of a horror game it is like many creators do. Piggy is more like a story game rather than a horror game besides chapters like breakout. It’s annoying how everyone looking at horror games sees piggy as a bad horror game, just because they just think it’s one because of its genre which was chosen when the game was just a joke game.
Everyone literally sees it as a souless cash grab and put no research into how the game was even created.

PIGGY might be repetitive for some but I find the randomness of spawn locations makes it just as fun as doors. That and Book One is extremely repetitive. I enjoy playing PIGGY the way it is.
It dying out happened because Minitoon took the time to make higher quality chapters. Look at the quality jump from maps like city to The Safe Place. Mintoon worked hard to implement new items and features so that the game wouldn't become repetitive. I think the Hunt event map and Breakout perfectly show how much the game has changed and with Intercities full release on the horizon I'm hyped.

Bro, the Hunt map showed Minitoon finally learned how to give characters ELBOWS. Like, that shows he's been working behind the scenes n stuff.
Alongside the Hunt being a really fun addition and one of the few Hunt missions that were genuinely fun to play.

I, honestly, wouldn’t even put Piggy on this list. It could be considered a *bad* horror game, but a *substantial* story game. I throughly enjoyed every instalment, and its main reason for dying was that the story itself had ended. It started out as a parody; finished as a masterpiece.

I feel like no one brings this up, but all those cash-grab "experience games" are rip-offs of the original "The Nightshift Experience". Yeah, they are NOT made by the og creator. The original trilogy (I know there's a fourth one but idc) was actually pretty good. The Nightmare Experience had some pretty good mind-fuckery and Nightshift was a good balance of thrilling and funny. It's sad that the concept and thumbnails got copied, and now the creator's reputation is probably ruined.
TL;DR: All those cash-grab"experience" games were NOT made by the original creator of "The Nightshift Experience" and barley anyone brings it up.

It’s so sad to see many people misunderstanding that the creators also made the ripoffs, but they didn’t, I kind of enjoyed the og games and I felt awful seeing those shitty cash grab clones ruining everything and being the most hated, lazy, and awful clones of a game
I think you did piggy dirty. You said the mimic was popular cause of its story. Piggy was even more popular because of its story, not because it was a horror game. You said doors got popular because of quality and frequent updates. Although I agree with the quality aspect, I don't agree with the updates. Doors updates around once per 3-4 months, while piggy updated around once per 2 weeks in the book 1 era and once per 1-2 months in the book 2 era. This, along with the conclusion of the story fueled the hype for new chapters especially during the end of both books.
As someone who played since book 1 chapter 10, i noticed three major spikes in ccp. One in book 1 finale (500k+ ccp), one in the game overhaul during book 2 chapter 7 (100k+ ccp), and one in the book 2 finale (130k+ ccp). This is also ignoring the fact that piggy participated in the most events/collabs than any other game mentioned in the video, which also kept it popular (piggy x jailbreak, rb battles s2, rb battles s3, piggy x metallica, the hunt 1st edition.) You also make the claim that the game got more dry as the game progressed, while it only got better in quality. Please do some research before making such bold claims that contradict each other.
Edit: Minitoon is known as one of the most active developers in their respective game communities. He also known for asking the fans about many game aspects, and even held skin contests, both which none of the other devs to the same degree. You can't praise one dev for something that other devs do better at.

Piggy I will always remember the famous game
Piggy is more of a thriller game for me, it focuses more on story than actually trying to be scary, wich it also accomplishes in things as breakout chapter.
I’m so happy doors gets the recognition it deserves, you can just feel how much effort is put into it when playing the game. Great vid 🎉
People who say piggy is repetitive just shows how much they lack research and capability to accept opinions on game genres they do not like. The reason piggy died way slower than doors is because the large amounts of maps. Doors has a limited amount of different rooms in every round, the entities are differently placed and its just fun overall. PIGGY has many many maps, which is at the very least 7x the amount of different rooms in doors. It has side quests, side chapters and a story to focus on, which doors very much lacks. I love both games but comparing piggy to doors and calling piggy the worse one is really just bias because piggy is mascot horror. Piggy also has a variety of traps, skins (with different advantages, none being worse), Private server maps which you DEFINITELY have not seen and much more to it. You see piggy as a cash grabby garten of banban because you only have played carnival before, a person with real research knows that this game likes to hide what it offers.

Long rant aside, i respect your opinion but I dont respect hating it for the shittiest excuses ever.
Conclusion, I know youre a recent critic and are on baby steps, but dayummmm you have a lot to make better about yourself.
Research is a huge part of making a critic, but its clear you barely have done any.
I find piggy repetitive, most of the maps are the same thing but with a special twist such as gears, or the flashbombs but I still find it boring now. Probably because I have other things to do.
And Door died because the lack of content to do after beating the game but since the game has more quality than half of the games on roblox, and there are only 2 creators (both have their own lives to deal with) its understandable.
Also, I have definatly seen games that make piggy (considering how its around 3 years old) look like doors.
And yes I did beat book 1, find book 2 and try Build mode but I just didnt get the same fun feeling in those than when it started. I played it a long time ago and I dont plan on going back to it anytime soon. Although I might give doors a second chance.
One last thing, when did you need online currency to buy stuff in piggy? Other than Tokens, there really isnt much you can buy.

yeah piggy was probably the biggest horror game on Roblox, with many fangames, lots of CZcamsrs, and a huge community/fanbase
To be fair,it is not the developer's fault for the sucess of the game, and for it's copycats.
I mean, Piggy was never meant to be sucessfull. As Minitoon said,"it kinda accidentally blew up".
The only reason why piggy is not relevant anymore is because the story concluded, there was no reason to actually continue playing the game

extreme funs did not start the experience games, it was created by RCM games, and people apparently loved the game so much that they wanted to make the same game multiple times.

Pretty good video, but when you used gameplay in the Doors section, some of the gameplay was fake. Such as the Window and Jeff jumpscares, which aren't in the game.

the thing i liked how the doors devs wanted to make a better rooms because rooms had 2 entitys only and dev never decided to update again and they didnt fail before it gets boring because of the same things opening doors they added bosses not really such as seek and figure
the thing is they care about the community and they put the fanmade entitys such as depth and greed as picture frames on the walls they made greed an actual entity in super hard mode and if u havent noticed they also do that with youtubers like recently 8bitryan and captainjackattack basically jack with a pirate hat as picture frames
On Roblox there are some genres that go through phases. Horror is one of them. A big game (like Piggie or Doors) comes out and its popular, then copys come, then it dies down after a whil. Then another populr game comes out and it repeats.

the reason piggys decrease in popularity was that when it was popular it was right in covid so when people went back to school it became less popular. and piggy ended so i makes sense that not meny players play it. but its still popular just not trending.

After DOORS got realeased we got a huge boost on the horror genre. We got mimic book 2, weird strict dad and one of my personal favorite, Residence massacre. And so on the horror genre is now one of the best genres in roblox. Im really excited for floor 2!

I dont consider Piggy as much of a horror game, but it does get me sometimes. Im just there for lore and fun. I've been there since book 1, and seeing it still alive and kicking gives me happiness. Book 2's ending music just brings tears to my eyes
