Kiryu is such a menacing boss in 7 that I call his theme "Receive You Bleeding RED". As for Majima, it would be "Receive You The Violet WALL", given the context of leveling.
I mean, if you look at my pfp, one of them is not like the other.
About "Y1,2: Receive You - Remix Version" section, I wonder did you mistook remix on ps2 playlist and HD-remix. Because the image you show was the ps2-remix while you talked about HD version of Y1-2, the HD version was actually more 3 minutes long and not 2'23.
@@JK-lt6ol Thank you for the correction! That seems to be the song that was missing from the tier list. The placement and commentary were meant for the version from the HD release after all.
The Prototype is also used in the final fight of the Majima Everywhere System in Kiwami 1! Awesome video

Receive you the hyperactive feels like the duo have been rejuvinated after years of going through tojo bs. Its been awhile since they've earned themselves a good fight that wasn't caused by a underhanding villain. It hypes up both the player and makes you feel like even the characters are having the time of their lives.
couldn't agree more that theres not a single bad version of the classic, listened to all of them at least 100 times each

Receive You North Star in S! Absolutely yes!!! My god the banger! I grew up with this kind of music so this is right up my alley.
I do like Receive and Doubt You though and would've placed it at least in B. I love the darker tone, even if the arrangement is weaker than Archetype.
Overall, this is similar to my own tier list. Thanks for making my day as a storm is headed our way.
Ps: Did I hear an Okita Soji analysis is in the works???? Yaaayyyy !!!!! I know it won't be out for a solid few months. But I'm already super excited. There's so much to say about him 💓💓
Something I would not expect to see in my life: Receive You tier list. Another great vid by the legend 🔥
Before I start I just wanna say every version slaps, but my favorite is (normie choice) the Like a Dragon version. It has this weight and impact of almost a decade and a half of buildup, the perfect mix of intense and tranquil, it’s just…mmm, chef’s kiss.
The OG is also good and I’m grateful they brought it back for Lost Paradise (it’s the only thing that made grinding for that *one* gold plate bearable)
Weird, I thought the Like a Dragon version was the weakest...
Also agree with Yakuza 7 having the best one and how it's used in the dynamic intro is so perfect

I feel like I only ever hear people talk about a few versions, namely Receive and Bite You, but there are a few that I listened to quite a lot because of how much I loved them. I think my favorites would be Tech Trance, Receive and Bite You, Rolling Eyes Fall Down the Dragon Wall, and the godly North Star version. Stuff distracting me from listening to all the music again, but I was reminded Reborn is also really good. And who can forget the original, which I especially love the drums at the beginning and the female vocals before it gets into the meat of the song.

Gotta love the number of variants that ended up in S tier, and rightfully so! The Receive You: Reborn love is great to see as well, as I feel it might be my favorite of all, almost feels ironic given it's the one version we never got to hear in-game in the West!
I was hoping one day for gaiden if there was a custom coliseum track for fighting majima I wish it was called: Receive and forget you

Also, why is in the section of the Yakuza 0 Receive You there is Elvis boss theme from God Hand? (well, talking about Yakuza OST with God Hand OST on the background is extremely clever)
For some reason, the company who owns the rights to all of Yakuza OSTs has recently been claiming all videos that had songs from Yakuza 0 present. Hence, I decided to replace them with OSTs from my other favourite games that have a similar vibe :)
Great video but you forgot a remix! The one original track on the Ryu Ga Gotoku -THE BEST- CD is a Recieve You remix! Recieve You -THE BEST- remix if I recall.

I think calling it "worst to best" is a bit wrong, since you started with 2 As, then a C, followed by an S, AND THEN a B.

I could not believe my ears when I heard Recieve You in Lost Paradise during regular truck drive, it sounds like a theme for a final fight of a mythical hero, my favorite version and by a long shot wish we had one with a similar vibe in a mainline Yakuza game.
You should've played each song after ranking them for comparison...
