This was wonderfully helpful, as I will be packing in a similar fashion with Carl Fredrik's larger check in. Wonderful ideas, thank you sir!

Perfect timing. Leaving on a trip in a couple weeks and trying to improve how to pack a suit instead of wearing it.

Put simply, the best video on packing luggage that I’ve seen on CZcams. I will definitely be referring back to this when it comes time to pack for my next holiday. Thanks Ash!

I've never seen the stuffing the arms trick before. I am going to have to try this on my next trip. Thanks for the tip!

WOW great advice on packing a suitcase. Makes perfect sense and I will be using that technique next time I travel. Thanks Ash. Cheers Ron

According to Companies House Carl Fredrik (accounts made up to 31 March 2022 and filed in March 2023) have no employees in the UK and capital under £10,000. I believe most or all of their production is outside the UK.

With quality of leather goods that CF produces, a large garment bag would be a dream come true!! Im so very much a nutter for the patina that leather luggage develops over its lifetime. I inherited my current garment bag from my father in law who traveled extensively and you can tell that it has as well. Top notch work Ash👊

Great video and helpful. I have never seen stuffing the jacket sleeves. I have learned it in a similar way in the Swiss Army. Roll the pants with some other pants or take a rolled up t-shirt otherwise. I roll the jacket actually. I turn one shoulder into the other and lay a rolled t-shirt into the shoulder opening. Then I roll the jacket starting from the top. Works for me every single time.

Some good tips there Ash. I thought I was ahead of the game with my use of packing cubes but it would appear that I still have much to learn!

Thank you Ash. I’m hoping to go on a cruise one day which will entail packing a tuxedo so this video was incredibly helpful.

Never put all your eggs in one basket! This is why I came back to refresh my memory(rather my wife’s) on how to pack a blazer/sportcoat in a carry on . It would be a shame to have my garment bag go missing upon our arrival in London.

I always try and wear one of my jackets/blazers during travel. I find it easier to keep it crease-free that way - and I also get to look sharp when travelling, a win-win situation!

Hi Ash, having been in the luggage industry for over 45 years, and travelling in Africa and Asia on an almost weekly basis, I dont buy your over complicated packing style.
The luggage you are using is called a double pack, in that you can pack both sides easily.
I always packed my jackets nicely folded and flat, and had no issue with creases when the dividers and cross straps were in place. I think I would do my mind packing your way. Each to his own.
Your luggage is really nice, if a bit too Teutonic in style.🇿🇦🇿🇦

Many thanks for the advice on transporting the coat specifically.
I knew the trick for the pants but the trick to "fill" the coat sounds incredibly useful, thank you!
Thankfully the last time I had to get formal dress through travel I knew the hotel had ironing gear available - the next time will be substantially easier! 😂
    Best regards

Theres a good vid on the armoury channel for packing and Mark there just folds the jacket in half so the wrinkles end up on the elbows and lower back, where its easier to fix.

Very interesting technique With this suitcase, always had an issue, when you open the items from the top, always seem to fall out! Any advise?
But if you are going to iron the shirts, why not just add the suit to the ironing list?

      @teakcore5261 Před 11 měsíci

Very good point, if you’re going to have the trouble of taking out the iron for the shirts you can steam jacket easily

How about adding a pair of extra shoelaces and some wooden hangers? :-)

It's pronounced "vakketta". The letters 'ch' in Italian are a 'K' sound. Vacca = cow. Vacchetta = little cow = calf. In other words, calf leather.
