  • This video is not sponsored, but I did recieve this suitcase from Carl Friedrik without charge, to review.
    Get the Carry-On X here:friedrik.com/x68
I used this suitcase as my one-bag for a 48 hour business trip to Dubai back in April, which I share my thoughts on in this video, and I am now using it as my camera and tech bag while I travel around Europe.
I hope you enjoyed the video, please leave it a thumbs up if you liked it, subscribe if you loved it, and please leave me a comment with your thoughts and feedback.

Thanks Nik - I think an earlier version of this carry-on had a powerbank, but they removed it with subsequent iterations as far as I understand. I have the Bigger Carry-On by Away Travel with USB powerbank, but to be honest i never use it as it's micro-USB. I have a USB-C powerbank I use and just store in the front tech pouch of the Carl Friedrik and find it very versitile.

Hi, I think Carl Friedrik only sell direct - have you checked their website?

Thank you for the review. So far, I love the luggage, but I have 2 issues with it before I purchase it full price. It needs Type-C to Type-C connection (not USB-A to Type-C) and the handle needs to be as rigid and strong as Monos Carry-On luggage. I hope Carl Friedrik reads this and makes these changes, asap!

Hi Abel, theres not actually a power bank on this one any more, they removed that feature a little while ago. But I agree, the reason I don't use the Away Travel powerbank in my "Bigger Carry On" is that it's not USB-C. In terms of the handle in the Carl Friedrik, I can attest that it is very strong and sturdy, I have rigiously tested it on cruise ships, boats, trains and quite a few airlines now since making this video. I might do a follow up review as I am even more impressed with this suitcase now, and use it as my number one go to for carry-on.

@@danhogston Wow really? Thanks for the update. I have read that the handle was bad and flimsy. Perhaps it was a competitor's comment or it was an old version of the luggage. You comment helps a lot. I will await for your review!

how tall is the handle? im 6'5 and im worried its gonna be too short for me to roll around

Hi B Blow, I don't have the exact measurements to hand right now, but can look into it. I can say it's taller than the Away Medium's handle by 5-6 inches. I am 6"1 and actually don't use it fully extended. The first height adjustment matches Away's, so as I am using both suitcases right now I match the height and it's been great, but it can be extended further if needed.
