My father was born in Haifa, which was then British Palestine, in 1944. To a British father and Palestinian mother. When he was 4 years old, my grandparents took him to England on holiday (to see family) only to be refused back due to the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. So they had to settle and set up their life in the UK. My grandmother was once part of the aristocracy and she ended up living on a council estate in Portsmouth and became working class. It's strange to think that I am a product of war; I would not exist if that war had not broken out.

According to Oxford bibliographies the pre-israelite indigenous population residing in the socalled "promised land " were the Canaanites. Canaanites are the ancestors of the Palestinian people and Canaan was their ancestral homeland. Canaan was conquered by the tribes of Israel under the leadership of Joshua following their Exodus from Egypt. The Israelites were fugitives ( runaway slaves).
The agressive tribes of Israel took the land from the Canaanites using brutal force and violence, very much like the current colonial criminal zionist settlers that came as refugees after WW II and gradually started to usurp and claim the land as their own.
The earliest references to the Canaanites and Canaan first appear in 2nd millennium BCE Near Eastern and Egyptian texts, a time span defined archeologically as the Middle Bronze, Late Bronze, and Iron Ages( c. 2000-1000 BCE) These written sources provide place names and details relating to geographical borders of a region referred to as Canaan, which can best be described as a political- territorial term that encompasses much of the Levant, or the modern countries of Syria ( mainly southwestern Syria), Lebanon, Jordan and the whole of Palestine before the creation of the illegal Terrorist state of IsraHELL.
So neither were the tribes of Israel indigenous to the land of Palestine, nor the current genetically mixed IsraHellies (from different countries of Europe) converts, who claim them as their forefathers.
If we follow your reasoning for the right of IsraHellies to the the land, then Australia should be given back to The Aboriginal Australians, America to the native American Indians, Canada, Alaska and Greenland to the Inuits, New Zealand to the Maori etc. What makes you think that the IsraHellies are such a chosen people that they should merit exceptional treatment?
Unlike the above mentioned nations, the Palestinians have never given up the resistance to the illegal occupation of their rightful homeland, and will continue until its free from the pest like IsraHellies; Which by the way United Snakes of America and it's lap dogs in Europe themselves did't want, and now only support and sustain because they are seen as fighting their proxy war in that region to secure their own economic and political interests.

@Zodtheimmortal my friend, we live in a planet that we share, and no one can claim rightful owner of any land. So the key here is to coexist, and respectfully under historical Palestinian, muslim conquest, they were very accommodating to people from other faiths and races (and you can research on this and find architectural, documentary evidences to prove this). When the land that the Palestinians have been living in and called it home under the Ottoman empire were volunteered by the British empire without their consent, they welcomed the Jews in. But over time, more and more of their lands were being occupied. How would you feel if your homeland is being occupied, and you're displaced into an overpopulated strip of land?

That why the British government gave back the land they took from Israel back to Israel. Israel has been here since the Roman Empire. This person does not know his history. People can twist truths to fit their own beliefs, but in the end the true landlord of the land of Israel is the God of Israel. God of Israel use WW2 to restore the land of Israel back to His people the Israelite in 1945. This time the God of Israel is never going to allow any Nation to invade Israel. Trauma and suffering does not lead to emotional growth or empathy but we have this assumption. Traumatized people are not likely to treat others better, quite the opposite and the never ending conflict in the Middle East is a prime example. People only shed tears for their side and only count the dead children on their side. Human nature is bleak.

The creation of Israel, from the Palestinian perspective, is a deeply painful and contentious issue. It's important to acknowledge that the events leading to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, known as the Nakba (catastrophe) to Palestinians, resulted in the displacement and suffering of many Palestinian families. Palestinians view this as a forced expulsion from their ancestral land.
From their viewpoint, the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which expressed British support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine, was a turning point that sowed the seeds of conflict. The subsequent waves of Jewish immigration and the UN's partition plan in 1947 further fueled Palestinian grievances.
The Nakba of 1948, marked by the declaration of the State of Israel, led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Many Palestinian families still hold keys to homes they were forced to leave, fostering a deep sense of longing and the hope of returning to their ancestral land.
Over the decades, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in ongoing displacement, occupation, and the absence of a sovereign Palestinian state. Palestinians have their own narrative of suffering and dispossession, and their aspiration for self-determination and a viable state is a central point of contention in the ongoing conflict.

Bear in mind - especially to those who regurgitate Hamas, Hamas - that the Zionist state was created in 1948 and immediately started land expansion and occupation, forcibly removing indigenous Palestinians from their ancestors land.
Now back to Hamas, an organization created in late 1980s after the first uprising against the brutal occupation. Hamas was not that relevant until early 1990s. So what was going on these previous decades before Hamas came to the scene? Same occupation, brutal murders, forceful removal of people and lands, farms being stolen expanded and kept happening.
Hamas can disappear tomorrow and the situation would be far worse than what it was before they appeared. Just look at the brutal occupation that is West Bank and how utterly subjugated Palestinians live in an open air prison, their daily lives completely controlled.

Israel’s military rule disrupts every aspect of daily life in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. It continues to affect whether, when and how Palestinians can travel to work or school, go abroad, visit their relatives, earn a living, attend a protest, access their farmland, or even access electricity or a clean water supply. It means daily humiliation, fear and oppression. People’s entire lives are effectively held hostage by Israel.
Israel has also adopted a complex web of military laws to crush dissent against its policies, and senior government officials have branded Israelis advocating for Palestinian rights as “traitors”.

It seems to imply that everyone should just bow down to the Jews, with Israel immune to any criticism or accountability. Moreover, this supports the notion that Palestinians somehow deserve everything that the state of Israel inflicts upon them due to their refusal to submit to the "chosen people" concept is quite intriguing. The convenient use of antisemitic branding and constant references to the Holocaust in every other sentence only makes it all the more apparent that this is a clever way to stifle any critique of the state of Israel.

Before the modern concept of the State of Israel and the region known as Palestine, the area historically had various rulers and inhabitants over the centuries. It was part of larger empires, including the Roman and Ottoman Empires, and it had a diverse population composed of different religious and ethnic groups. You must be a fool if you think Al Jazeera will provide the objective truth on this complicated history. Relying on them is as dumb as relying on the biased accounts given by the pro-Israeli media.

History constantly haunts new generations that want nothing to do with this mess.. I wish we could all be one and support each other like the majority of people really want too.. I feel horrible about both sides it’s heart breaking how history keeps turning us against each other instead of us learning from it.. why not support and love.. share holy land but respect beliefs.. there’s a long life ahead of us we have to be the beacons the next generations will follow.. imagine being one of those kids in them shootouts.. stomach wrenching and so unnecessary..
