    I had bad luck with Alpinestars sizes. I have the SP2 V2 in medium, the SP8 in large, and the GP Plus R in XL.
    They all fit, respectively, despite spanning over 3 different sizes, from the same manufacturer.

    After measuring both hands and looking up the size carefully I usually need gloves two sizes larger than that. I always buy gloves in a shop - never online.

    I'd like to find a good pair of touring externally stitched gloves. My index finger tips are overly sensitive to the rubbing of the internal seams against my fingernail/skin interface.

      Best way to do it is find out what your size is European sizes. Go by that. Usually more accurate. Good luck

    I used the sizing chart for Revit sand 3 gloves and the gloves fit very small. I ended up having to go two sizes larger than the sizing chart in order to fit my hands.

    Any tips for finding gloves that fit when even Small is too big? I have short fingers and even if the palm fits, the fingers are too long and fell uncomfortable and unmaneuverable. My current gloves, (Superbike XS women's leather gloves) are the closest I've found to fitting, and even those are too big. The sizing chart says it fits palms 2.0 - 2.5 inches, mine measures 2.5 in and it's a little loose, and the fingers are about an inch long. I can't find any manufacturer that has gloves this small or smaller. Are custom fitted gloves my only option?

    Here is my problem. My glove sizing runs between M and L. My finger length is M. But fit Tight around the fingers. Go to a L, Fingers are too long. I have a Leather pair (HD) I use a Leather Conditioner on. Stuff used for Automotive seats.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 5 lety +1

      You might want to try some brands other than just HD-branded gloves. For example, Dainese gloves have shorter fingers as compared to palm size. They do have a few cruister-style gloves as well. -DrewZilla

    The hand circumference measurement is bullshit and should not be the only thing determining which size gloves you're gonna get, I have 7.7 inch circumference, "recommended" size is SM but I wear XL alpinestars (9-9.5 inch). I tried on size L and I could barely move my fingers, let alone squeeze into a fist, it was so tight, no way my hand would fit in anything smaller than that, especially SM!

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 4 lety

      Couple of things to consider here: First, not everybody's hands are the same and can be measured the same, just like jackets/pants/boots etc. It sounds like the length of your fingers are longer than your average hand, causing the fitment not to line up. Either that or you could be measuring in the wrong location. Secondly, making a fist isn't how you determine if a glove fits, since that isn't a regular position while riding. Making a very loose "C" formation with your palm and fingers mimicking the riding position is how it should fit correctly. Usually if you can make a fist, the glove is too loose especially if it is leather and will break in 10-15% as the leather relaxes. Hand circumference is the most common/easiest way to gauge getting close to the right size and is why almost all manufacturers use it as well, however, each brand has its own unique fitment and might not have the correct length in fingers for any one rider (i.e. Alpinestars and ICON have very different fitments, but still both use the circumference of the palm to hone in to the nearest size for most riders. If you have any other questions or concerns or want to talk specifically about your hand and options, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Ride safe, -Pat
