    Wow...
    So I'm off from work at home recovering from a minor surgical procedure, kind of medicated and have been having weird fever dreams. Right before watching this video as the result of a Google search, I had just had a weird dream about being in or near Atlantic City, NJ when all of a sudden we all see these fiery giant waves in the distance, that look like mountains, moving towards the coast from multiple directions.
    Eventually everything is covered and I end up riding one of those casino/hotels like a boat inland a bit, and it still has power somehow (it is a dream after all). There's a store employee telling us all the merch is all free.
    At some point we end up going the opposite direction, being sucked in towards more nuclear tsunamis. The whole time some shitty European techno music is being played on a loop. I don't know if it was supposed to be playing at this hotel/casino I'm on or if it's just in my head, but last thing I remember before waking up was hearing that music and the building I'm riding sideways on about to roll over as we're riding into a crashing wave.
    The music alone was hell btw.
    Thank you for letting me use the comment section as a bit of a dream journal 😉

    During the pandemic, I tried to stop smoking (I since have) and on the second night had a terrifyingly vivid dream. I was on a boat in the middle of the ocean with many people but the boat was a school bus (weird I know). Panic set in as I looked out the window and saw two fighter type jets far far off over water, flying around together and the suddenly dropping something out of the bottom. I watch as the objects fell into the water and then felt a ‘boom’. As the people around me erupted into screams and chaos, I watched a wave in unimaginable size start to form and roll towards us. In my dream I had the thought ‘we will not survive that’ and because terrified along with the others. I turned my head and looked out of the opposite side of the boatbus and saw complete destruction (floating material from buildings and houses etc) as far as my eye could see, everything was broken and floating and more fighter jets flying around. I woke up instantly and laid by myself in a state of confusion (in disbelief I had a dream so vivid, and that it was some kind of ‘weaponized wave’). I had never thought/read/seen anything like that before. I gathered my thoughts and CZcamsd ‘weaponizing waves’ and this came up. It visually explained exactly what I saw in my dream and even took it a step further with the radioactive water as result from the bomb.. I didn’t then, and still don’t know what to make of it. I don’t dream, I’ve had a handful in the past 3 years, that being one of them. It’s 2 am right now and I stumbled across this video because I saved it. I’m married now with two daughters, my life is much different, but there was something about that dream and experience, I just wanted to type this out and share it.

    Our best bet would be to create ships that specialize in frequency jamming. In order for Russia to detonate they would have to give it some sort of remote command, I'm thinking. We could expand this by creating our own army of drones to monitor activity far off from our coast. These drones could be tasked with attaching electrical deactivating and as a last resort explode the bomb premature.

    The only plausible defense I could think of would be to set up a wall of EMPs around the far coastline that would go off as soon as something of that velocity passed their detection field. The problem is if the bombs go off once they are shut down the explosion will still vaporize an immense amount of water and cause the radiation to be sent up into the clouds when the water evaporates.

  • @thegrimmer

    4:15 Riddled with more inaccuracies. The water around the bomb is very unlikely to be the water in the tsunami that hits land. That's why it's called a "wave" and not a "water spout." So it's unlikely to contain much fallout at all.

    This is a really silly post. To put things in perspective:"For example, the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that killed more than 15,000 people in Japan released about 9,320,000 megatons (MT) of TNT energy. That's hundreds of millions of times greater than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, and roughly 163,000 times greater than the Soviet Union's "Tsar Bomba" test of October 30, 1961" Moreover, earthquake events are particularly good at transferring energy to the water. Up to 33% of the energy. However, an explosion underwater creates an outward push followed by reverse suction unlike an earthquake which creates the push but no reverse action.

    Edit: This video says the weapon is 200 megatons, but if you Google it you'll see that recent estimates has revised it to 2 megatons. So not nearly as insane as was thought.

    Potential solution: You need to figure out where these bombs would need to be set off in order for the wave to make landfall, and create a perimeter of sensors / bomb triggers that effectively blow up, setting off the nuke at a safe spot / deeper underground, so that the tsunami takes place in a suboptimal spot.
    An under water anti missile defence system.
    Another potential solution: Somehow create an asymmetric tsunami that you can trigger to counteract the other tsunami -- having the two collide. This seems less feasible, you will have less water to work with, and be closer to civilization, resulting in collateral damage.
    You could try nuking the tsunami so you can vaporize the water -- effectively using the tsunami to make your nuke act as an under-water nuke because it was dealing with a similar volume of water.

      Not a stupid idea overall, and much less than 200 megatons would be enough actually. The wave from the enemy bomb would spread in a circular pattern, you only need the opposing wave you send to take care of the fraction that's actually going towards you.
      Detonating a nuke would be stupid tho. If you detonate a 500m wave 5km away from your coastline to counter a 500m wave 10km away from your coastline, you'd counter the enemy wave but considering it spreads in a circular pattern you'd also create a 500m wave going towards you.
      What you need is a straight line of explosives parallel to your coastline that directs a straight wave specifically away from you and towards the enemy wave, like an earthquake would do. Worse case scenario you create a tiny wave going towards you on top of the 500m wave going towards the enemy wave, but that's a much better alternative than a full size tsunami lol.

    • @luckyluke5638
      @luckyluke5638 Před 4 lety +23

      @Molanda Moseley of the FBI I know they can't make that big of a wave, I've actually explained this in a comment dumbass.
      The principle of countering one wave with another is still a valid solution to any wave of any size, you should know that if you payed attention in your bath. I used the 500m example because it's the one used in the video and I didn't feel like explaining why 500m can't be done with 200 megatons a second time.

    • @RyanHall89
      @RyanHall89 Před 4 lety +37

      @@luckyluke5638 The problem with this theory is that waves traveling toward each other pass right through each other. They subtract or add where they meet, but continue as usual once they pass through each other. You would have to create the counter wave in the same direction as the giant oncoming wave, but it would have to an exact inverse of the oncoming wave, at the exact same wavelength, otherwise you risk making the oncoming wave even larger. But I'm not sure you can even create an inverse wave with a bomb, because all the bomb does is push more water, instead of pulling the water like you would need it to do.

    You cannot guarantee the placement of the energy through the water, not a chance of a wave being formed unless it is very close to shore. The defence is that fact that the weapon cannot perform its function, as quick as the explosion has happened most of the energy is released or lost, the water is not storing the kinetic energy. The upward swell of the water through its own mass and gravity will come down very quickly. Once the explosion is over there is no store of energy hence no wave.

    Demonic rather than insane! The only way to defend yourself is to detect it before it detonates having sensors and sensitive devises placed in the waters surrounding your nation, to know when these weapons are unleashed. Make an alarm system as well, to be able to determine their heat wave signature or something similar.

    Defense?
    - democracy in Russia
    - explore the oceans, map it and study it and monitor it as well as we have with the atmosphere (not sure if possible)
    - spyes in Russia military
    - have a popular and simple warning system where any boat operator (of ANY size or relevance, even small fisherman) who notices something odd traveling underwater can send a message with such info and have someone check it through moderately quickly.
    Best chance is to get this thing while it is in the moving slowly phase. But being the ocean, a lot of work is required.
    On the other hand we could try creating huge underwater walls but that won't be very nice to the oceans, AT ALL
