The review I was waiting for, thank you!
OMG, Thank you so much for the support â„đđđ
BALLING!
Donât waste yo $ on this piece of junk. Get the hori or victrix they are the best current sticks.
Your description of the notch design process đđ
lol thats how the guy was prob thinking
Thank you for still doing these arcade stick videos. #ArcadeSticksForever! đč
forever stick lol
@@JoystickNY FOREVER STICK
Every single video is so detailed and i can tell you put a lot of passion
I hope youtube starts rewarding you more because the quality of these videos is very good
Even though you are so busy with life, work, family, etc. it looks like you still put a lot of love into this channel
I try, thank you for noticing, i prob wont last much longer; maybe a yr or so; i might have to quit, is very hard to he a full time creator these days
@@JoystickNY yeah i suggest take as much time as you need
Great review and professional video; very in-depth and respectfully critical to all the decisions on design.
thank you so much , i try hehe
I own the PS5 version and I've been really loving it so far. The ease of customisation as well as the wrist rest is awesome.
great to hear, def a solid stick, just the layout is bugging me lol
I own one too I put a crown shinsun lever in it
Great review as always. Very valid critique!
â„đ thank you
nice.keep it up bro.waiting for more old sticks review also and levers/button review.specially on old madcatz and hori sticks
Thank you, will add them to the list
Thank you for this video! I was between daija and hori alpha, I went with the alpha in the end and I am happy :)
I like the hori better
You the man JNYC! Love your vids :)
thank you so much
Thank You for another video. Always enjoy watching your review!!!
really appreciate you
Ayyyyy let's gooooo can't wait to see the whole review
Appreciate you
Demmm that joystick is beautiful! I have been waiting for this review
thank you for watching
I wasn't expecting this one to actually get an endorsement from you. The fact that it got better praise (imo) than the new Qanba sticks is substantial. I've already spoiled myself witg other controllers I had no businesses getting this month (it was my birthday, so it's justified đ€Ł), but the next time I have some spending money, I may pick one up. I may be giving my EGO to a buddy, so I'll need a replacement đ€Ł
As always, I both love and respect your straightforward to the point honesty about the products you review. Looking forward to watching your Akuma trials!
thank you so much, dont go too crazy on the sticks, save money. đ€Łđ
I just got into fighting games recently (played them in the '90s) I purchased the razor Kitsune (love it!)
But my birthday was on the 18th. I was like I would like to also have a levered arcade stick.
And I watch this channel and one other one for the majority of my arcade stick info. I had narrowed it down to this or the Hori. I picked this and got it yesterday on my birthday, I love how it feels.
+The size of it allows The arcade stick To sit comfortably in lap.
.
+ The buttons and lever feel good and responsive to me
- I've tried other USB cables and they have either not fit or not worked with this Nacon (your mileage may vary)* not sure if something is proprietary inside of their cable.
- there's a little bit more to do than plug and Play such as downloading an application (The application is not terrible but it's also not streamlined That well. It's legit mid)
The fact that it comes with another lever option is pretty cool in my opinion.
I've only put a few casual hours in but so far so good.
I'd be interested in what decision you make and what you think.
Now I must watch my main man's video to see what he's saying & if he agrees that I made a solid purchase or not đ
La La leeeets GOOOOOO!
Because even when I'm outside, I'm still in the building.
đđŒ
@MetalFacedGamer I didn't get serious about fighting games till like 2016, but I've always played them since I was a kid. Good to hear you're enjoying your purchase. I'm probably gonna put the Kitsune on display when I get it, cause I'm only getting one for the Chun Li art đ€Ł
Hope you enjoy your new stick bud. There are a lot of different shapes for USB cables. Fingers crossed you find one that fits soon đ€
@@pkphantom I'm in the one that comes with it obviously works but sometimes I want to play with a different controller. I don't want to have to always wrap and unwrap that particular one.
But yeah the razor one is super fun also I wanted Camy but I thought they could have done a better job on the art for her and then also realizing that it's just a vinyl wrap, That was kind of a bummer.
Lastly, I'm not pro or ant. I RGB but I will say on the all black one without the art when you're learning. You do glance down at the buttons and they are hard to distinguish at times.
Last way I'm so new at fighting games. I'm going back through and relearning all the basics so I spent most of my time in training just messing around.
And I don't know if you have any advice for improving but basically what I do is go in training, practice a few things, then I go into a lobby or a match and don't necessarily try to win. I try to figure out how and when to land that combo that I've been working on.
And I'm hoping to be able to just keep doing that and keep adding on combos over the course of 6 or 9 months.
But I could definitely recommend the Kitsune for just Fun! Also, the Nikon is great, it just feels really good.
What system do you play on or are you on PC?
Peak content as always, keep it up man thanks for this review. Also what stick you can reccomend me im currently using the qanba drone and im looking for an upgrade that isnt too exp.
For licensed stuff, the Hori Alpha is probably the better option without spending too much.
If you're going unlicensed, probably a Mayflash F500 Elite.
If you go DIY, use whatever box is comfortable to you, drill holes into it, mount the buttons/lever, wire it up to a Raspberry Pi Pico (don't spend more than $9 on this) flashed with GP2040-CE. Brook options are much more expensive but they come with the benefit of just being "set and forget."
see if you can find a obsidian 1 on the internet, or a cheaper victrix, these 2 are prob the most popular in tournaments
Was very much waiting for this review!!
I actually ended up buying one a few months ago and have loved it since. One design choice i dislike is that the cord is supposed to fit into a very small nook inside the Daija, but it's so inconvenient to wrap up tight enough that i just stash it in my carry bag instead. Besides that, it's been nothing but great for me!
This was also my first stick.
I also ended up getting custom parts i.e. Balltop, washer, stick shaft and some custom art that fits well, though the design choice is a bummer for less artwork
Thats a big upgrade for a first stick, my first was a 50$ hori ex stick
@JoystickNY it was definitely a gamble, but i decided that I wanted something of what I presumed to be high quality, that way I don't have to buy another stick sooner down the line(and got a free pass for an expensive purchase from the wife)
excelente, siempre un gusto ver tus videos.
thank you so much ,gracias đ„°
Nice, thank you for this great awaited review
My pleasure
Hey, as always I love your content! â€
The PS4 Daija is a stick that I own, so let me add a few things. The change on the buttons to open up the stick is a huge upgrade. Because they were sticking out a lot on the PS4 version, the stick could be opened way to often accidentaly. Could happen while being in a backpack or playing on a chair with arm rests (yes really).
The new buttons layout is a huge downgrade, you're right on this.
While you did mention that you can't really mount korean levers out of the box, you didn't mention that you can't use screw in buttons neither. It was a huge pain in the ass on the older model and they still haven't changed this unfortunately.
This stick is close to being very good, but these weird limitations made me switch to Qanba and Hori for my main sticks. Also the buttons layout is not standard Vewlix but that's up to preference wether you like or dislike this change!
thank you so much for the details, i forgot about the screw in part, đ
Top notch video as always!!!
Thank you
I own the old model and have had it for a few years. I really like it and would highly recommend it if you found it for around $100
for a 100 it would be a great deal
@@JoystickNY i got mine for 120 new, it's by far the best stick i could find for the budget
Another great review you are awesome đđŸ To bad we haven't got to play yet (but with my sorry butt still tied to ps4, I'm not surprised) but with Akuma releasing I'm gonna be there today for sure!! Lol see you in the arena!!
Thank you akuma trial is up đ
Thanks for the tips bro i love ur videos
Thank you for watching
Thank you very much. Very informative and needed.
appreciate you
thanks for the video. will you be testing input delay? i was also curious about the pcb to see if it's easy to remove and replace with a brook or gp2040-ce.
i dont have the proper equipment or software to run those test, as i also heard the test are diff with diff softwares and hardware, and platforms, i wish that the manufacturer would include those spec on the box
This channel is so good.
Great Review
How do you feel about a fight stick that you can change between a lever and hitbox style buttons? Do you think its possible?
It is possible if custom made, u would just need 2 top diff plates
Dang. I just bought this stick last week. I also bought a korean lever to mod my old Hori RAP V with it. I thought I could just mount it on the new one aswell. Seems like I need to carefully remove some plastic first if I want to. Not thrilled about it.
But thank you so much again for your honest and detailed review.
try not screwing the 2 screws all the way down and see if it works, the lever might be 1 cm shorter tho,
I love these videos, even though Im already satisfied with my arcades
Thank you
Do the Mayflash F700 Elite when it comes out please !
let me add it to my list
@@JoystickNY thank you sir preciate it!
This stick looks so cool but you have a point on its design. The random design around the Xbox button is so funny.đ
thank you, just make it all the same size or style lol
Legendary review brudda.
Appreciate you
Glad I bought the Hori Alpha instead (Not many choices on Xbox).
Sure, the cable management is better but the case of the Daija seems too flimsy to me.
i personally prefer the hori alpha over the nacon
Glad i got daija instead, feels better
The One for PS4, PS5 & PC also has a Detachable Cable my Brother.
I mean ps4 only version, release in 2018,
Not the ps5 /ps one released in 2022
I just bought the ps5 version and I am absolutely loving it (had a Hori Real Arcade Pro previously) .
def a solid stick in general
Shout out to PC!
I made the switch 10 years ago and i don't think i can ever go back, Especially with the blessing that Fightcade is.
yea, a lot of things are easier. and cheaper
Here's what i've learned about this stick upon looking it up and putting it on the list of possible sticks to buy. Overall its great specially that you can gain access to internals on the fly and executes it smoothly with minor hiccups and probably does it better that the MCZ TE2 and RAZER Panthera and not having to worry about replacing the cable since its USB type C, you just need to look out for what cable that can fit that hole. But it somewwhat shares some of the same issues that it has like the previous sticks that i've mentioned, mainly the hinge, which at some point can giveway and break dur to the material being plastic. I don't see any cons with the customization for the artwork since its one of the easiest out there. The only thing i'd be worried about is the platic overall as time progresses, will brittle out? Will you have issues with the plastic quality? Time will tell cause i never had an issue with the whole case with some of my sticks as time went on
great input, the hook to the locking mechanic i am worry, because i keep slamming it down
@@JoystickNY that's also one thing we need to be worried about as well when buying this nacon daija. if ever it really boils down on how you take care of the stick on how long it will last
It looks like Nacon asked AI redesign the Razer Panthera & called it a day
lol that is a good one đ€Ł
Review the Qanba 2009 Arcade single player version. I would very much like to hear your input on that and compare it to other Qanba sticks such as the Titan & Obsidian 2.
i would love to, but i cant afford that, qanba prob dont like me either lol
I don't really have many issues with the nacon daija. I got it mostly as a easy to mod victrix alternative for testing out arcade components, while also being a stick that I can use to play 3d fighting games casually. I mostly play 2d fighting games, and am in the process of learning hitbox with the razer kitsune on SF6 and DBFz.
yea, just a few minors ones, no biggy , thank you for watching
Best reviewer in the game ! Notch design process is so true lmao đ€Ł
thank you so much, why not just all the same size ? or style lol why every button doing their own thing lol
though im not looking for a new stick im paying attention to whats available just incase my panthera dies, the Daija seems like the best choice for me with whats available at the moment
if u like the panthera, u prob like the daija
Any plans to do the mayflash flat?
possibly in the future, mayflash is on it with the trends lol đ
Hey joystickny, i wanted to know what are your thoughts on qanba crystal ??
Don buy the crystal, i think u be just paying for the led, depends on how much, if its cheap enough, then i guess is ok and replace the parts
@@JoystickNY i heard the modding part is harder than other stick, thing is i already bought it and using it, i wished that i took a deep thinking about it but it was at a good price tho.
Thanks for the knowledge and help
still rocking the original ps4 nacon daija for everything I play, be it old or new, good shape, size and weight with sanwa parts, can't go wrong
True that đ
i have the nacon daija ps4 version an i dont feel the need to upgrade (outside of having a detachable cable), the first version was well built, so ppl who own the first one should just usb mod the cable later down the line, Good review overall
thank you, i prefer the ps4 version as well
Nice review đ thank you.
The 2022 PlayStation version dont have share button on the top. It only have profile button lock switch and ine big PS button.
I agree with you that the side buttons on ps4 2018 design in better
Thank you
I bought this version as a stick it's rock solid supper easy to mod and artwork super easy to change. I agree the notch and side buttons are a pain but way better than the hori xbox version
i feel you,i kinda like the hori alpha abit more than the nacon đ€Ł
if I had to guess, xbox probably has some guideline saying the xbox button (and probably those others) needs to be on the front of an official controller, the notch was probably the only good way to add that without completely redesigning it (though I have seen a PS5 Daija with a similar notch so maybe that's just how they're making it now? idk)
I for hori, the ps4 button was on the side; its possible xbox may have guidelines
New video, I upvote.
appreciate you
I swear, your video upload timing...I was just about to place an order for this stickđ. Still hori alpha the better pick
i prefer the hori more too , and there is a lot of hori in touraments.
It seems to me the best currently available xbox arcade stick is the Hori alpha
i would agree, i personally like the hori alpha more
I know itâs expensive, but I hope you can do a review on the makestick prime one day.
oh yea, its pretty expensive, maybe someday when its on sale
One on one me with that stick at the Apple Store in Soho. Let's go!
Chill. đ
lol , appreciate you, thank you for watching â„đ
Small support for my NYC brother.
thank you so much for the support đđđ
I wish that all arcade stick controllers came with 8-way restrictor gates already installed into them.
Absolutely not
probably better to pick 1 up our self, because they can raise the price on everyone if u know what i mean , good to see u dustin
I was deciding between this and the hori alpha back when sf6 was releasing. Ended up with the hori but regretting it a litttle compared to this.
i prefer the hori alpha my self
@@JoystickNYreally? I thought I struck gold with this purchase. What is it the weight or layout? I heard you mention how light it was (alpha) and thatâs what made me go with the daija.
I installed a seimitsu LSX-01 Nobi Bullet pro in my daija. To get it installed correctly i had to file the 2 pegs.
yes, the guy didnt do his homework, they shoulda put it on the 4 screws part, which a lot of sticks does
You will only do reviews for arcade sticks, no leverless?
i am behind schedule, i have a long list i want to tackle before i get in to a new area, thank you
What about the PS5 version? I play on PC but if I want to go to a local, they're going to have PS5s there.
Bruh đ I would assume the PS5 version isn't much different.
â@@ArtieOfAstora ya it's pretty much 1to1 just with PSN buttons and a touch pad
I agree. Buying expensive arcade sticks means you're ether rich, or you're thinking about going to tournaments. The latter makes none of the Xbox versions compelling.
@@ArtieOfAstora Touchpad
@@duxnihilo yep. I would assume that a controller for PS5 would have a touchpad.
2 weeks and my Light kick button is sticky đ§đł
Do i return or exchange it.
Ilike the hori but the non removable usb is the worst and for me a huge deterrent.
U can try n clean the button , maybe something felt in
@@JoystickNY I can get the button out but how do I disconnect the two wires at the bottom? Do I just pull them or is there like a lever or something?
Shouldâve made the longer video and test it for us. I donât like the stick. But Iâm glad I donât have the Xbox series. But the Xbox does deserve a good stick. I hated having an Xbox years ago cus I couldnât find a stick for it without needing some adapter for it
yea, its the politics between manufacturers and game companies, if sf6 was ps only again, it woulda been gg
I wanted this so much, but it wasnt in store, i ended up buying leverless lol
go with which ever one you are good with , keep it up
Hey it's the Kayane stick !
lol yes it is
I love the design but looks like I'm going to have some issues modding with korean levers
very minor, u can drill a hole on the korean plate or shave the plastic, or add washers, but ur lever will be 1 cm shorter. not sure if it will make a differene
As a UX Designer, that frustration over the notch design felt too real
i went to school for graphic design, my professor woulda given me a F grade
What stick should I get for PC?
Hori alpha is a good choice for mid range
Well its good to get a console if you want to compete since its tournament standard.
that is true, to adapt to the frame rates n stuff
I have the old ps3,ps4,pc version. Nacon released software update which lowers the input delay. I've also changed the lever to korean one (sanjuks v6) and it works like a charm.
i prefer that version instead of the new 1 lol
7:42 you are welcome
THANK YOU, Took me a minute to realized what you mean lol
Love PC. Iâve saved hundreds of dollars not paying for PSN or Xbox Live.
For real lol
I canât wait to play akuma on street fighter 6
Its out today đ
the pantera stay up?
off the top of my head,i think it does, it has a kick stand thingy
I know this is not the video about PC gaming. But I want to mention why you bringing awareness to PC gaming is especially important in this community.
Since not all fighting games have cross-platform feature. Most, or almost all fighting games die within less than half a year on PC. That's just because the fighting community is usually so uneducated or unaware of many of the games being available on PC. Or just that people of this community aren't encouraged enough to try playing on PC.
So you using your platform to encourage and educate and bring awareness, will make such a big ripple effect that will all be positive for the community and for the fighting game industry.
Thank you as always for being so caring for the community and everything being user friendly.
Much love đ
Disagree.
thank you so much, i am usually just recommending stuff that i personally use or do, i treat everyone as a friend in real life
I think the cost of entry for PC is a lot higher as well as the space a desktop takes up is a bit off-putting for FGC. I made the jump but 100% get why some of my FGC friends havent
I own the first gen Daija and I don't really get why the new one is significantly more expensive.
So true, I bought mine for ÂŁ75. Now itâs ÂŁ250!
@@grimnir6169 Fortunately there's no need to upgrade anyway so I'm still good with my OG Daija. Unless people really want maximum compatibility with PS5 I'd recommend to look for the first gen Daija instead.
I think 200 should be the max for retail, 249 is abit high for what it offers
That's a big boy
ayo lol, thank you for watching â„
where is mayflash f700?
i will look into that down the road, very behind schedule â„
qanba q8 is the best fightstick for pc
thats a flashy heavy duty stick right there, i gotta check it out if on sale
I wouldn't be surprised if many of button placement things, like the notch and same-size buttons, were because of Microsoft's licensing requirements for the Xbox branding and compatibility.
dang, thats be kinda crazy if microsoft did that lol
@@JoystickNY likely stuff for "branding" like "the Xbox button must be visible on the front of the device" and maybe "all buttons must be the same size" or something like that
Mmh, cool case design but the buttons on the right side are too small, you can't see them so they should have been bigger than that
for real, if its not broken, they shouldnt change it
My guy casually tilting all console players
LOL i have a ps4 also and a xbox 360 đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
why most of european arcade products are not selling in Asia region? you can't find Nacon arcade sticks anywhere here. and it is has been since Ps4 ~!
its was also hard in the usa too, this time they open up to the U.S market
i hope no one sold their x tekken stick the shape is good convention
thank you for watching
It just looks like a Razer Panthera copy, size wise.
very similar lol
well i was bad lucky with this arcade stick
problem avec just 1 year with it :(
Aw man, sorry to hear, i think if this stick drops on the floor; is gg
Iâve been watching your videos for 3 years now.
But I very disagree about going PC rather than console.
This is someone thatâs on a RTX 3070 super and a PS5
appreciate you, i mean in terms of saving money and usefulness, i am sure the ps5 is better in other aspects â„
Bummer about the lid feeling so wobbly. Can't stand an expensive product that feels cheap đ
kinda strange design decision ya
Random and no consistency is the definition of the current generation of people.
Lol, seems like companies r lazy these days with games n equipment
The system button placement is truly baffling. I feel like this was designed by someone that was never going to use it.
its annoying for me to reach for the option button, not convienient
Thank you, i notice my steam was loading sf5 very fast, compared to my ps4, thank you for sharing, i do like console; i just cant afford it đ
ineeded this review
Thank you
I actually was going to get the stick and Iâm glad that I didnât. I was able to see one in hands and itâs terrible quality I went with the. Etokki Instead, however, I do like some of the features of the Daija⊠the stick that I get regardless, will have some sort of latch to open to modify. Iâm tired of unscrewing.
I regret buying an Etokki, the small and heavy case causes a lot of discomfort when using it on my lap.
Plexi also causes discomfort in the wrists. Plus, it doesn't have native support for the PS5
what about the hori alpha?
I ordered the Sony Playstation model for my brother. and the only problem I had with this arcade stick on my part is it's not available with Corean sticks. the Sanwa default is very cheap. to get a good feeling, I had to order strongers springs and actuators. it's better but not as good has a Fanta collar with a ST-45 membrane. I think its price is expensive for its contents. all Sanwa accesories (springs, actuators, guides, ...) to customize the stick and buttons should be included.
i feel you, some people drill a hole on the jp sticks to for the higher collar,
I will never buy a stick with a detachable cable. except for xbox sticks which have a detachable part by design. I bet Microsoft make companies make it like that
How come? đ„Č
this interview is so late
thank you, my videos are always late, i m very behind schedule
Had to return this arcade stick . The Obsidian 2 took a step back from the 1 but goddam Daija dropped the ball :( feels like theyâre LEAPING backwards đđ
Companies been lazy these days lol
Advice for Locals
Don't use consoles.
If you have a console you can use it.
If planning on buying one.
Absolutely not.
Also tell them if you want better performance in PC that gpu better be a RTX 4000 series.đ€Ł
@@HCIbn lol expensive
i almost bought a ps5, but they were trolling with 2 years of no restock, i gave up
But with all honesty
This advice only works for 2 Games that isn't demanding on Quality of life and graphics
Wow, So many bad decisions by Nacon, easy pass for me.
can def be improve in some areas
Stick is trash. Has issues where they buttons are swapped and glitch out. There are reviews that show this. I had send this junk back. The only good thing is the parts but there is something wrong with the boards and glitching or something. I sent mine back and got the hori alpha and itâs perfect. I also got the victrix and quanba and they are way better than this heavy hunky junky piece of crap.
Thank you for sharing; i am curious if maybe the profiles were mess up, i saw a review on reddit but the person was on the wrong profile.
How can you not love this guy! đŠŸ
appreciate you my friend
