I agree, I saw CJ and he was great and was going to see Dee Dee not long after Joey died but he bailed the day of the show which was a serious letdown because he's my favorite Ramone and one of the best songwriters eva...still have the records, though...
I'm so grateful I got to see the Ramones numerous times,I will never forget feeling the balcony at the Academy in NYC moving up and down the whole time they played RIP R.A.M.O.N.E.S!!!!!
While not one of their early-career classics, Brain Drain is an under-appreciated Ramones' album in my opinion -- their last better-than-average album!
Cheetah Thunders. that seems so weird to me as i always thought everyone saw pet cemetery as there crappy sell out song. Not talking crap about the Ramones mind you just that one song and the video they did was very disliked by most the fans i knew.
Billboard Live on the Sunset Strip (the old Gazzari's) was supposed to be the venue but the Ramones had to be bounced out due to construction problems and delays. Guess Joey never got the news. To add to the confusion the packaging for the live album (and the VHS of the show that we are all watching now) still lists the venue as Billboard Live.
I wonder if Joey knew he had cancer, and still went on with the shows,or if he found out later, cause if he still went on with the shows even after he found out he had cancer, that’s commitment
@@nunyabusiness2280 1995 then lived 6 years with it damn based on the fact how much health issues he had since the 1970s, im amazed that he made it to 49,5 plus he did alot of alcohol and cocaine in the mid 80s until 1990
Sadly, the only surviving members of the band are the band are the 2 drummers. Must have seen them no fewer than 15 times back in the day at various venues in NYC. Always a great, fast paced show. They could play 30 songs in 45 minutes. One of the classic bands of their time that have influenced numerous bands. One of the founding fathers of the punk rock era. RIP Ramones...
R.I.P Dee Dee... we miss ya. Now you guys just gotta wait for Tommy and you'll be kicking ass up in Htheir all together again. Then maybe Heaven won't be so fucking quiet.
Probably just doing it kinda different. They did play like 2,200 shows so I'm sure they would change some things slightly just to keep their sanity, I actually did a project on their touring in statistics and they played on tour constantly, like literally constantly 😂
I was blessed in having seen The Ramones over 100 times from 1980 to 1995. always great times.
Lucky man
Lie
Lucky you!
Ditto. Not quite 100 but ALOT all over NJ and NY
I really wish I was born earlier so I could've seen them, I really like their music but because I was born in 2007, I never got to see them live.
I'm legitimately upset that i will never have the chance to see The Ramones live ):
kevin fuentes It's so fucking true...
I feel your pain. I would give anything to see them.
+Taylor Osterman ...I saw them a few times and it was a beautiful thing to see.
I saw C. J. yesterday, not exactly the same of course, but many of their songs, great performance. Wouldn't want to have missed that for sure!
I agree, I saw CJ and he was great and was going to see Dee Dee not long after Joey died but he bailed the day of the show which was a serious letdown because he's my favorite Ramone and one of the best songwriters eva...still have the records, though...
RIP guys. People will always remember Pet Sematary. The Ramones live on in our hearts and video forever.
Ultimate punk band. Really sucks I never saw them live😭
I'm so grateful I got to see the Ramones numerous times,I will never forget feeling the balcony at the Academy in NYC moving up and down the whole time they played RIP R.A.M.O.N.E.S!!!!!
YOU SEE RAMONES LIVE?
CUCA BELUDO yes 5 times
To quote the movie/book "sometimes dead is better" I wish the Ramones were still around but they're immortal with their music ♡
All my idols are dead or not far from it. It hurts really bad....
RIP Tommy.
While not one of their early-career classics, Brain Drain is an under-appreciated Ramones' album in my opinion -- their last better-than-average album!
Ramones In Nov 2020 still kicks in azz
1,2,3,4!!!! RIP RAMONES
I saw the Ramones in Houston a number of times in the early 90s. Always killer..you could never see the band enough. I miss those days.

It breaks my heart everytime i see it
Amazing. I wish I got to see them just once!
a widely covered song. I have a "pet sematary" playlist with like 50 covers of this, just added this to it for flavor.
Cheetah Thunders. that seems so weird to me as i always thought everyone saw pet cemetery as there crappy sell out song. Not talking crap about the Ramones mind you just that one song and the video they did was very disliked by most the fans i knew.
A melhor banda de todos os tempos! RAMONES forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My absolute favorite horror movie. Special movie to me and a very special song. Ramones!
dee dee wrote this song but joey wrote my favorites ramones's song Sheena is a punk rocker... anyway

I wonder if Joey knew he had cancer, and still went on with the shows,or if he found out later, cause if he still went on with the shows even after he found out he had cancer, that’s commitment
Joey found out he had cancer between Mondo Bizarro and Acid Eaters

+Patrick Portland ...and CJ!!
Ive seen CJ twice in the last month. His shows are so kickass, fast and full of energy.
*2 of the 3 drummers are alive (not including Clem or Joey).

I don't think those guys are in heaven. Paridise may be too boring for them.
At 2:33 C.J. looks just Dee Dee.

1996
Would be great, but remember that after returning evil and killing people certainly prefer to keep playing. Ramones never die in our hearts!!!
Great loss!
Ahhh, concerteza!

I WANT JOEY BACK!!!!!!
Simply, this guy had no fucking idea about singing! 🤣🤣🤣
👿
Joey left it very clear; HE DIDNT WANT TO LIVE HIS LIFE AGAIN! :P
LOL

Daniel Jacobson yeah, he had cancer
He was 200-210 pounds but that was due to pills but his arms and legs were still skinny

Why is he singing it that way, sounds awful no disrespect.
Probably just doing it kinda different. They did play like 2,200 shows so I'm sure they would change some things slightly just to keep their sanity, I actually did a project on their touring in statistics and they played on tour constantly, like literally constantly 😂
It sounds better and heavier
