- So here is the second edit from my favourite slab on the planet, Teahupoo. Featuring the godfather of Teahupoo local legend Vetea David. This edit shows off the some of the best rides of the day. The title in this piece CONTRASTS is named due to how from one day to next the contrast from perfection to sheer devastation with heaviest rain dump that created localised flooding that effected the whole Teahupoo village.

Poto (vetea David) speakin facts, I was in the lineup and there were way too many waves ridden with the help of jets, while we were trying to go on those waves wtff!! Also many Hawaiians ( except Nathan ) and foreign guys , who we accept and enjoy to share waves with , were so egocentric and didn’t leave a single wave , even if they were too deep( as a bodyboarder you wait for West ones that are not directly coming onto the surfer’s pit ) , they even didn’t say hello when coming to the pit , so humanly wrong and sad to see that the respect to this magic and authentic place is slowly starting to decrease , especially with social medias
I was wondering how that all pans out. More and more this is happening all over the world. A once majestic sport/pastime has become disrespectful on so many fronts.
Yeah cocky Koa Rothman looks like he was getting a few too many of those waves. Just saying

I remember watching a surf movie in the 80s I think it was and they surf Tahiti and said there wasn't much there you know the one where the guy the Surfers kept saying you should have been here yesterday come to find out that Tahiti has one of the most insane waves on the planet!

It blows my mind that support boats in the film crew are in danger yet there are Surfers are charging these waves and Dylan's daughter Somer wow heavy charge and stuff there and Anna the women catching up boys!
