I'm looking at the vio35. Do you feel like it's under powered or wish you would have gone to a vio50? I'm having a really hard time deciding on the two. Congrats on the machine!
Plenty of power for this class of machine, and easy to tow with my 3/4 ton truck. I was also a little torn between the 50 and the 35, however due to budget and weight, this was the right choice for me. I mostly dig clean ditches, set small culverts, some grading, and it fits very well areas with limited access.
Gene, thank you. This is my second vio35, I had a 2009 with about 4000 hours on it when I sold it. The only reason I sold it is, because I wanted to enclosed cab. I’ve never had any problems with either of the 35’s that I have owned, seems Very smooth, responsive, and quick. The Build quality seems on on point, And as far as the size of the machine it is great for what I’m using it for mostly small jobs, in tight, spaces. Times I feel like I need a 50 when I get into bigger jobs but it’s perfect really for what I’m mostly doing and it’s about 30% less in cost.
Does the Yanmar operate smooth? When I operated a Cat 305 last November, I noticed that ran the bucket, it would jerk you around more than a Kubota or Deere would.
i think it was the operator on the Cat 305, i have rented a Cat 305 many times and love it, it fast and lots of power over any other i have rented of the sailer size, there nothing jerky with the bucket on the 305. the 305 would rip though rock hard red clay like nothing, were another rental of a little bigger size had a hard time
Johndeercat98, I’ve Operated about most of the popular brands of excavators and I was pleasantly surprised of how smooth the Yanmar really is. The only time it really gets bouncy is when I put the tilt grading bucket on, It’s not really even that bad I think that could be corrected with the added counterweight option it weighs like 300 like pounds.
Rich, It’s just personal preference really. for me the Yanmar 35 was at the Right price point and I have an old three-quarter ton truck that I pull it with and it pulls it great if I put the 50 on there it would be too heavy. But on the other hand the 50 has the extra power and weight when you need it.
Richard Arieta not yet but i tried the 50 and found it underpowered and for the size might as well go to the 55. So im either vio55 sv40 or tak tb250-2. My gut says vio55
Congrats on the new machine! It's always a good feeling to get your own! Best of luck
Yes, Thank you Kapper Outdoors. Sorry for the delayed response. keep up the good work, love your channel!
Bullet proof machines. Yanmar is a big name here in the Pacific Northwest.
VIQAN, yes great machines, no complaints here.
Yanmar has good power and spades, so it's far from other machines.
T N, yes the yanmar has good power, quick, and very responsive.

Awesome i heard great things on yanmar . How's it treating you so far?
Amazing
Very nice congratulations. You’ve had it a few months, what are your thoughts on going with the 35 too big or too small? and quality of the machine?

@@txexcavation9968 I'm really in the same spot. I am 50 / 50 on the VIO35 and the VIO50. I can't decide what I want to do.
Why would you have lettering installed on front window in line of sight?
Bobcat Ron, great observation. Yes! Took those decals off the front windshield like after the first week because they were obstructing my view.

I have a yanmar Vio35 also and really like it how’s yours holding up?
It’s holding up great, they are great machines
Cant make up my mind vio35 vs vio50 is the 35 to small is the 50 to Big...

Is the cab very quiet when the doors are shut? Do you get a lot of engine noise in the cab?
Watch Excavating 320's walkaround of his Gehl Z35, which is the same relation to Yanmar as Chevy is to GMC.

It’s not terribly loud, but you do hear the engine noise, It is located like right under the Operator seat.
I was going to buy one of these machines but when they told me at 7% interest I would pay $14000 in interests by the end of the loan I couldn't do it
unfortunately on these machines, the manufacture did give any financing incentives at that time when I purchased this unit.
Vio35 loaded should be about 52000 plus tax . Vio50. 62000
I know prices are different between dealers, and also depends on region, shipping costs etc,
nice , how much was it ?
Buffalostate1, They start at about 39k
I am a extroverted operator please you call me
