Repairing pot holes asphalt millings, spreading and grading asphalt millings in Argyle, Tx
We repaired this old asphalt driveway that needed some attention, and had lots of potholes and uneven spots throughout the driveway. The homeowner just wanted to fill in the pothole and regrade some of the areas using asphalt millings, this was the most economical way to patch this driveway to fit his budget. We had suggested to demo the entire driveway. Come in with fresh base rock, pack that in and then top it with new asphalt millings, which we will probably do it a later date. This will take care of the driving surface in the meantime.

total took me a Day to do the excavation, it was 1200 ft, 3ft deep. It's different for everyone, you have to figure in your overhead, and where your margins would need to be make to make a profit. When I filmed that video my overhead was fairly low, I had only two machines and one trailer, and one old truck. I was renting a space at a storage facility, Now we have 4 and multiple trucks and trailers and a Shop that we work out of.

Plenty of power for this class of machine, and easy to tow with my 3/4 ton truck. I was also a little torn between the 50 and the 35, however due to budget and weight, this was the right choice for me. I mostly dig clean ditches, set small culverts, some grading, and it fits very well areas with limited access.

Johndeercat98, I’ve Operated about most of the popular brands of excavators and I was pleasantly surprised of how smooth the Yanmar really is. The only time it really gets bouncy is when I put the tilt grading bucket on, It’s not really even that bad I think that could be corrected with the added counterweight option it weighs like 300 like pounds.

I’ve never had any problems with either of the 35’s that I have owned, seems Very smooth, responsive, and quick. The Build quality seems on on point, And as far as the size of the machine it is great for what I’m using it for mostly small jobs, in tight, spaces. Times I feel like I need a 50 when I get into bigger jobs but it’s perfect really for what I’m mostly doing and it’s about 30% less in cost.
