Glad to hear it can run on natural gas if you put in a conversion kit, that just about does it for me as I have nat gas bbq and a smoker this would solve the space problem. Thanks
Cool stuff man! Was hanging with my in-laws doing the summer chill and grill using their Pitboss for the first time and stumbled upon your video.
Great info!
Just bought this today! Super excited to cook up some good stuff!!!
I just got mine today. It's in the box in my garage. It'll be on my deck in a couple days. Can't wait to check it out.
They are awesome, love mine.
Great Video .... I unfortunately I just returned my KC Combo back... And purchased a Camp Chef... I really liked it but the auger kept catching fire and smoking out of my hopper... I'm starting to think maybe my pellets where bad... Because the ash build up was heavy in the burn pot..
Oh man, I clean my pot every other smoke with a shop vac. Completely clean it out. Let me know how the camp chef work. May add one to the collection and day.
I had that happen a couple of times. I have switched to lumber jack pellets to see if they burn better. I clean out after every couple of cooks. I also have a long metal skewer to stir the ash from the top and it falls into the ash clean out tray, that way i dont have to pull it apart to do a full clean. So far the brush they have attached is useless.
I have had several people tell me about the lumberjack pellet, I need to check them out, thanks for sharing.
I use my KC Combo alot. Smoke everything I want with no problems. Use the griddle even more. Everything works well with no problems. I've had 2 10# butts, a 15# brisket, and 4 racks of ribs. The only problem I ever had was the hotspot in the middle, to fix that I took a pie pan and flattened it, wrapped a few times with foil, no more hotspot, e sure you only cover the sear plate as the grease runs down there to the channels. I also love the lights, makes early morning and late night cooks easier. Good video.
Is the shelf on the far right easily removable? The spot is like to have it is just a few inches to small.
Yeah its not too bad however I pretty much leave it all as is if I can help it.
Do you know where I can find a greasy drip tray for the griddle so the grease doesn’t catch fire from the burners?
This has a funnel that directs the grease from the griddle away from the fire and into the catch bucket
Not sure on that one I just clean it a lot. lol
What is that wire that hangs on the right side underneath the griddle area. Near the propane tank. Chain looking thing
You know I really don't know I've never used it sorry.
Isn't that for match lighting the gas side if igniter isn't working?
What is the little chain that hangs by the tank? When I received mine it was broken and idk the purpose of it?
It's so you can light the gas side with a match and not burn your fingers if the igniter goes out.
You’ve had it for a while now, how’s it holding up?
I’ve got my eye on one but I’m concerned about build quality.
I love mine I have had it for over a year with no problems. Love it as a multi purpose rig, If I were only smoking I would buy a rig just for smoking but I use all the functions not just the smoker.
@@LowandSlowBBQ the Bluetooth work well? Heard some bad on that
@@troygrime1961 No, Plus I never really use it I have a blue tooth digital thermometer that I bought afterwards and I use that all the time.
Hey dude, you got a link to that shelf you made? That's good I'd like to do the same....
Yeah look at my channel there is a how-to video on the build.
@@LowandSlowBBQ you know I took a look but couldn’t see it there

@@LowandSlowBBQ awesome cheers
Does the propane feed the smoker?
No this is an electric pellets smoker, the igniter is electric and burns wood pellet's.
2.5 by 2.5 feet lol. More like 18x18.
How does the Bluetooth work? I can't see to get mine to hook up with my phone.
Yeah you have to update the software. My Bluetooth connection doesn't work well either I started using a stand alone Bluetooth thermometer.
@@LowandSlowBBQ do you know how to update it?
@@packer34 download the app on your pone and update it through the app....
I see you have a lot of smoke on yours did you anything else. A lot of complaints out there that the smoke flavor and output is lacking on this unit. Thanks.
That is true, they do not produce a lot of smoke in the past for the extra smoke I add a smoke tube in the unit itself.
So this unit does not produce much smoke?
Not on their own but a smoke tube like Joey suggested makes a huge difference.
Do a tritip on that please. I think the KC combo.is solid but smoke flavor is minimal
I will have to do this in the future.....thanks for the request and keep it low and slow my friend....
