I've had bikes with mousetraps Come in the shop where you just about neede 2 hands to pull in the clutch, and leave with 2 finger clutches, it's all about the set up.
Looks great! I hope I can get mine to work that good. I recently put on taller handlebars and am having a hard time finding a cable. Do you have a source for getting a mousetrap clutch cable that would be 10" or 12" over? Thanks
No, go hydraulic , u need a four speed only, for it. There’s no cables, or you can get some pull helper thing that goes into the transmission cable cover.
I always loved those old mousetrap set-ups. They made for a great --and easy--clutch pull when adjusted properly.

Found one of these things in a bin 'o parts i bought at a swap meet for 50 bucks. I'm now going to try to rig it up to my Sportster!
Once I hurt my left hand, I couldn't work the clutch on my Evo but I could still ride my pan.

Yours wasn't molested by numerous shade tree mechanics. That was a good bike to buy, I definitely can understand why you sacrificed to get it.
Nice shovel! I gotta get one of those. I don’t ride my 72 much for that reason. My hydraulic clutch has made me weak and worthless.

Could this Mousetrap be put on an 88 Evo? I have a badly damaged left wrist and using the clutch on my Evo is painful. Cheers from UK

Put a late model clutch spring in it,will help some
