READING
To be able to understand your texts, we recommend you to study the following linkers which usually appear in the Aptis Reading:
On top of that: means “como si esto fuera poco” Hence: means “por consiguiente”
Bearing this in mind: means “teniendo esto en cuenta” Thus: means “por lo tanto”
Due to: means “debido a”
As far as____ is concerned: means “por lo que se refiere a...”
TIP!
Word formations helps a lot when filling in the spaces. So, bear in mind that:

Nouns often end: -ment, -ion, -ness, -ity.
People nouns often end: -er, -or, -ist, -ian.
Adjectives often end: -able, -ible, -ive, -al, -ic, -ed, -ing.
Adverbs often end: -ly.
Is the new word negative? If so, you may need a prefix, e.g. un- (unhappy), im- (impolite), in- (inexperienced), dis- (dishonest), etc.
LISTENING
It is important to know these words as they usually use them in the audios and then write their synonyms in the options:
Get value for money: means “Buena relacion calidad-precio” Tucked away: means “escondido”
To be over the moon: means “estar muy feliz”
A fortnight time: means “una quincena”
To be over the place: means “estar distraido”
Keen on: means “gustar”
Take up: means “comenzar”
Get rid of: means “deshacerse de”
Talk with locals: means “hablar con nativos de un pais” To be laid off: “ser despedido”
