- Tracey Gold had gotten down to under 100 pounds when the show forced her to seek treatment in late 1991. She missed five episodes before returning for the final two in spring of 1992
I always thought she was one of the cutest actress on tv show. She was the type of girl I always wanted back then. Smart, funny and caring and very wholesome. May god bless her with a life filled with happiness.

Agreed though to be fair, the entire cast was aware something was wrong, Jeremey Miller even mentioned being shocked one day when he saw her with just a a tank top on at how much weight she had lost.

@@johnpauljones9310 Believe it or not, anorexia and most eating disorders are not caused by poor body image but from a desire to control something. Most victims of the disorder suffered some kind of abuse or trauma (many young performers had eating disorders: Tracy Gold, Mary Kate Olsen, and Karen Carpenter just to name a few).
I didn’t realize Tracy had an eating disorder. I’m glad that her cast mates were aware of it and pushing for her to get help. Seems like it was common for the young actors of the 80s and 90s to have some sort of eating disorder or phycological disorder. I think Candace Cameron, and actors on Saved by the Bell, had some struggles as well.
Tracey was never chubby or unattractive. I'm glad it turned out well for her.

You were dumb for trying to shorten a word that doesn't have an abbreviation and then you misspelled your own abbreviation. The word is obvious and your phone will literally spell it for you if you're too lazy to spell a seven letter word.
That was so sad. You'd think somebody would've been conscious enough to take the unnecessary "fat" jokes early on.

She's the girl from What Women Want. Great acting.

Jeremy Miller has admitted in interviews that he and Kirk Cameron relentlessly "tortured Tracy Gold on this show"...Did it ever occur to him that their constant teasing might have been part of why she became anorexic?
It's an excellent question. I wonder if Miller has ever addressed that.
@@ulegendsrevealed he should. Relentless teasing of someone who had been hospitalized for an almost fatal eating disorder and who has body dismorphia isn't cool

Didn't know this actress, her problems, or even the show before now, and tbh, I don't think she looked worryingly thin here.
She was 5'3" and 80 pounds
She had a tape worm
I did not like Chrissy and it's so sad how Tracy Gold died.
Am I missing something? Tracey Gold did not die. Unless you're talking about Alan Thicke who passed away.
