    What a gentleman Sir Mark Prescott truly is. A beautifully put together, informative documentary encompassing the history, tradition, legend and, most importantly, the obvious love and devotion for the town and its racehorse training facilities which Sir Mark so clearly has. An absolute joy to watch.

    Shame he didn't take in a few extra places such as Charles II's palace (or what is left of it) along with the horseracing museum. We are very proud of our history here in Newmarket and well done Sir Mark on a great video opening up much of Newmarket to those unaware of what a wonderful place it is.

    it caused quite a stir when the bet was placed so everyone knew a week in advance , yer man marking the board was definitely not on!! i knew he would be willing it to lose :)) what a great race and a tremendous ride from G Duffield perfectly placed the whole way sent on 2 1/2 out and kept galloping , the look on his face as i walked out by him , a very sweet moment!!! revenge is always nice, wouldn't mind having had 500 euros on Escalade at 300/1 that would have been a nice bet , but you would have had to be "in the know" i'm sure some cleaned up on it , in that scallywag "race" at southwell, if Sir Mark ever reads this :P will you train a nag for me? we will run it over 5f 50 times and then just to be super sneeky we will up it to 2mile 2f of the cez and get you that elusive win that you always wanted....

      @Jon Commons I'm not sure if he's a nice guy or a crook... his horse was 4/7 last month and finished 4th in 4runner race and cost me £1000 in my accumulater... that same horse has won twice since when it was 3/1 . But when it was a certainty and whole country lumped on, horse ran like a donkey . Horse Name: Blame it on sally. You can check his run at bath and tell me wtf was wrong with it that day ? Next two times he won easily and I was at work. horse was well in and I should've won £1000 when it was 4/7 at bath. i just want some professionals to look into it and tell me why I didn't win money on 8th august.

    • @aleemch3567
      @aleemch3567 Před 4 lety

      @Jon Commons I was not serious when I posted it.... I know he's a donkey trainer but just wanna see something different . O brien and gosden win almost everything every year. But if these small trainers start winning big things here and then. It's good for sport and they won't have to rely on fiddling their horses to make money and pay rent.

    Oct 16th at Southwell , Escalade, crafty enough didn't mention or storytell that! 300/1 on betfair for a moment 2 mins before the off....opened at 25/1 touched 150's in places with the bookies, having it's 3rd run in a tinpot stakes "race" tailed off/restrained previous 2 races prominent the whole way at sunny southwell! won like it was the odds on fav backed into 33's with mins to go, Morris riding for another stable same "race" nobody would be expecting much on it's 3rd start .....just crafty and crooked

      @Marq LOECSTA Luke is a fine rider, not fashionable but very effective, a big stroke was done at Southwell and it never made any news inspection of it's two previous "runs" indicate it was a non trier on both occasions and the gullible betting public would naturally be expecting more of the same on it's 3rd run ridden by another crook who i have not forgotten from riding a Jammy Guest at wolves few years ago btn a nose under a diabolical non trying ride, cost me? 5 grand! i was wearing the shirt in my live LMF video and ripped it off in disgust! remember that vividly, sickening when you know the rider done his best to lose

    in 1994 i had 500 to WIN not e.w on Hasten To Add with Paddy Power , about a week before the Ebor i thought he was an absolute certainty i was as sure as i ever was he would win granted luck in running and he did , and Power has been afraid of me ever since! all i can get on now is a few cents :P so not all doom and gloom with Sir Mark , at the time that was a BIG bet , in punts not euros , i couldn't even watch the race it was on Ch4 instead i listened on radio 2 with the truly great Peter Bromley doing the commentary , an enemy of mine happened to have a job in the power shop i placed the bet in , "marking the board" a losers job :P we fell out (his fault) years before when i was 17 , and i knew he would be willing the horse to lose as he was watching it! so EXTRA pressure , he was there when i collected the 4 grand and i walked out TALL!!! right by the c unt he was as sick as dog the f ucking loser :P good story? happened

    • @chris-xv4bn
      @chris-xv4bn Před 4 lety

      He is a top trainer, just does not get the top class yearlings. Route one for owners seems to be Gosden or Stoute ( who has tailed off quite considerably in the last decade).

      @@chris-xv4bn Fair point. I can't disagree with that. Just from memory, his last group standard horse was probably Pallasator and he was shipped off to Gordon Elliott (I think I am right there). I can't help think that owners are deciding to place their horses elsewhere i.e. Cheveley Park. given he has trained the group winner Confidential Lady for them.

    • @chris-xv4bn
      @chris-xv4bn Před 4 lety

      @@cuongtruong6043 Pallasator was a massive horse with a quirky temperament . Finished 2nd in the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot this year....some training performance from Gordon Elliott.As Sir Mark approaches 50 years at Heath House (2020), it may be that owners are sensing he is possibly near to retiring. I saw him at the Newmarket open days 21/9 this year and he comes across just like his videos. Whatever happens, racing needs characters like him. Proper time served trainer.
