In the month of june, the gates of Kamakhya Mandir are closed for at least 3 to 5 days. This is called Ambubachi in Assam and West Bengal as well. During Ambubachi(for 3-5 days), people are not supposed to perform puja at temples or at their houses and all agricultural works are forbidden as well. Before closing the doors of the temple, white clothes are kept inside the temple and after 5 days the white clothes turn out as red clothes. People actually don't take red water as prasad, what people actually take is a small part of the red cloth as prasad. Joy Maa Kamakhya🙏🏻.

Earlier I was hesitant in taking admission in the college that I was alloted just because Assam ko tab sab dusra desh samajhte the yaha! But jab admission lene gyi main mummy papa ke saath, we discovered that it’s a beautiful place with very welcoming and lovely people!
