This is by far the BEST interview of Lando i've seen, u can really see how much of an amazing guy Lando is, how appreciative he is about his friends and support system and how much of family oriented guy he is😭. Tom was such an amazing interviewer, asking the right questions, making lando comfortable straight away and showing that he actually cared about lando's answers

Amazing interview. Tom has the ability to make everyone he interviews feel at ease. Bravo. They have much in common as to their abilities and perseverance and what it takes to succeed. It is nice to have a peek into that world.
I've seen it more often, and you see it during the interview as well when they talked about the neck training. Lando recognised what he was talking about. So, that immediately lowers a certain pressure from having to explain everything to just talking about stuff.

What a well-spoken, well-grounded young man! His candor regarding his confidence struggles and his priorities is very refreshing. So many top flight athletes tend to give canned, cliché responses. “I think I’m a good guy….” He definitely is a good guy.
one of the best. i think there is great relief & freedom for lando to be able to get straight to the point with a fellow world class athlete who is not in the same sport. the ethics, discipline & demands of their respective sports form a common ground to make it easy to relate to each other immediately. at the same time, tom not being in racing removes any possible association or intangible references that would have influenced lando’s responses. it’s a refreshing change from speaking to anyone either in the industry or out of it & works equally well for tom too.

Tom and Lando are like two peas in a pod and I think they have more in common than most people think.
Always liked Lando and this interview just reinforced that. Top bloke, genuine and someone that everyone can respect and want as a friend. Just keep being yourself mate, you are where you should be.
I've been a Lando fan for years and this is the first interview where I felt most connected to him and I've probably seen them all. Good Job!
I've been watching this interview in parts because I have a lot of uni work and need to study.. And I just came to that part where Lando thanks his mom and honestly, the first thing that came into my mind when he started talking about her was that "Mummy, mummy, I did a thing!" in that Mickey voice, when the engineers were mocking Lando calling his mom after a podium finish.. But then I got really emotional when he started speaking directly to her ❤️.. He seems like a good guy and I am glad that I stuck to listening to the whole interview. That was quite wholesome.

I have much respect for Tom
South African mom here. Lando is only a few years older than my son and I am bursting with pride in what a driven, kind and level-headed young man he is. He reminds me so much of my son. I am immensely proud of my son, so I can imagine how proud his mom is of him. I hope neither of them ever change and accomplish every goal they set for themselves.
Crazy to hear Lando correct himself on turning the season around within the year with the knowledge we have now. Can’t wait for his first W
Two great champions and role models
Tom Daley is not a role model is he a cheater of his so-called perfect marriage; not only did he cheat on his old-ass creepy husband more than once, but he also cheated on him with an underage boy (Tyler Downs)! And he had a child when he did this!
I have been following Lando's journey ever since he started with McLaren and my respect and love for him has only increased over the years. This interview is certainly the best one of Lando that I've come across and I want to deeply thank Tom Daley for presenting this enlightening experience.
This conversation truly brought out a rare side of Lando that we don't see on track. I admire the clarity of his vision, his humbleness, his calm nature, and just how mature he is for his age. He didn't forget his roots and is grateful for everyone who supported him. You're a TRUE CHAMP and I can't wait for the day you become a WORLD CHAMPION. First knew Lando from Drive to Survive and, yes, was not a big fan BUT after following F1, I’m such a fan of Lando. So please please don’t focus on the negative, be yourself, be you. You have my full support for your first win!
I think Drive to Survive makes things look more dramatic than they actually are! So Lando outside of the show is probably a more realistic view

A genuinely good interview. Nice.
This is a really good interview, he made Lando feel really relaxed and asked natural questions, like two friends chatting, but they were still interesting questions.
He didn't ask over reaching questions, which happens so often by those trying to get 'headlines' or the 'tea', so that Lando had to then be on his guard. Which therefore meant Tom actually got a lot more open and honest answers.
He even made Lando blush a couple of times, in a cute genuine way, but he was not over the top.
You could feel an open respect from both side as athletes and the genuine interest in each others sports and the cross overs involved.
Well done Tom, such a multi talented young man and a great interviewer. And lovely to see Lando relaxed when doing PR.
