    Definitely not discontinued. It’s 2021 now and stock is available everywhere. I just bought one myself.

      Looks like they are back in stock, they did not have any for ages.

    The Weber rotisserie kebab set works well with this but you can only use the shorter set of skewers. I quite regularly cook pork or chicken souvlaki on mine. As it cooks pretty quickly it can take longer to light the charcoal for my 57cm kettle/rotisserie so the Q1200 more convenient. It does amaze me how Weber makes different products selectively available around the globe. This rotisserie is currently widely available in UK as well as the ones for the other models in the Q range.

      Thanks for the feed back. Yes I never understand why Weber limit what they make available in certain countries.

      @@MikesManCave I guess it's a marketing thing as I see products come and go year to year. I follow the Fire Escape Griller (US based channel) and he was complaining that the Q1200 foil grill shield were no longer available in the USA. When I hear this about consumable items I stock up just in case they are discontinued in the UK as well. I'm finding hard to source the Weber extra large foil trays at the moment and have had to order them directly from Weber UK (as a premium price). Anyway I'm a happy bunny today as I've had my new Weber Master Touch GBS Premium delivered together with a pile of other goodies (rotisserie basket, GBS poultry roaster, side table etc). Hope you continue enjoying your Baby Q and rotisserie and I definitely recommend getting the skewer/kebab set for it.

      Cool. The toasting trays are freely available here. But I have a few stored away, but you can just use foil.

      Yep they started selling them again. My local Weber dealer where I bought this had plenty in stock last week.

    Bought a Webber Q replica from aldi (Pantera) and the rotisserie fits perfectly!

      Cool that’s good to know. How is the Aldi replica going??

    To bad Weber doesn't sell it in the US! There is an aftermarket kit available though. I have even seen ones available in China that are adjustable and can fit the Q1x - Q3x grills. Only problem is you have to buy 100 of them. In the US they do not sell the roast pans or racks either.

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  Před 3 lety +3

      Wow. They started selling these here again. They were not available for some time. Now they are for sale everywhere. The roast pans and racks are sold at every shop that sells Weber stuff. It’s crazy why they do these things.

    Hey Mike! Awesome vid!
    Are you sure they’re discontinued for the Baby Q? The official Weber Store still has it online.
    Anyway, I’m about to bite the bullet and buy alongside the Pizza Stone 😂

      Good to know mate. Have you had much use out of yours now?

      My Weber Q melted so not working any longer. Weber did send me some replacement parts for it, yet to get around to fixing it. But I did get a bit of use out of the rotisserie since buying it. Here is a link to my melted BBQ czcams.com/video/-zaU7cZGwIo/video.html

      Mike's Man Cave Sorry to see! I would expect a full replacement out of that, not just parts. Will wait for your next update.

      @@MelissaOng No replacement offered, they just sped me some replacement parts which are still in the box in my shed, have been too buys to even look at them, I will get to it soon hopefully.

    What did you cook on it? How does it compare to just cooking a roast normally on the trivet?

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  Před 5 lety +1

      Only used it once so far. Did a roast pork leg. Not sure it made much difference. But I do like the rotisserie, works as intended. I used a smoker box and pellets under the roast. Was delicious and fed 5 adults with left overs. Crackling was spot on. I did make a video but have had no time to edit it.

    • @MikesManCave

      Pretty much any bbq shop and most hardware stores that sell bbq stuff. Weber even sell their own branded ones.

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t really understand what you mean. It just connects to the hose. It’s a screw connection, same as every other BBQ.
