If you like crispy bacon id recommend chucking down a wire rack on that so it cooks through convection rather than conduction

I thought it would fit instead of the grill plate, do you cook burgers on the plate or on the grill?
No I do burgers on the standard grill grate, they turn out great. Only really use this for eggs, onions, bacon etc
Can't decide now wether to keep on using the Baby Q half hot plate or switch to the Q-size breakfast plate. haha

Yep that’s why I made the video to show that this plate fits and works perfectly. As I also thought the Q1200 plate is way too small.
Hi mike. I thought the same re baby q plate size so got the half solid plate instead. Im finding it useless for eggs the bottom is all frazzled up and the higher white is translucent. Then i try to flip and they stick real bad you destroy the egg getting under it with the flip? My decision to but a q is rapidly dissolving first bbq ive bought new (everything else is hand me down, garage sale or home made) and its so far not living up to the hype. Also the slightest sniff of wind and the stupid thing goes out. Do you have that issue? Trying to use beside a caravan you cant omit wind 100% thanks for your videos watched a few now 👍 Daz
Agree with most of it. Needs to be shielded from wind. Makes great steaks and burgers though. 👍

Mike's Man Cave can’t get the roasting tray in the states. Only in Australia.
Mike's Man Cave seems to be things that each country can and can’t get. And have different inclusions, For example the baby q comes with a gas hose in oz but my USA model did not.
