I've thought of you and Louis all week. We lost two of the three dogs we've had since 2013 in a five-month span last year, plus our 17 year-old cat. People who don't love their pets have no clue. The only consolation I can come up with is that they don't live as long as we do so we can give a home to more of them.
Sunday or Monday I'll be watching 😊. One of the hardest parts of having a sick baby is the feeling of helplessness. I think you doing the research and having a plan is a big help and gives you a bit of control. Hang in there and I'll be praying for you and Louie. He is such a sweet boy. ❤

You are doing the right thing I would do exactly the same. My prayers are with him.
My dog had the exact same rare cancer in 2007 and getting the surgery done to get clear margins is a great option. My dog was fine after and lived another year and didn't die from cancer. Thinking of you Nisha! xx

Oh Nisha, no apologies needed! I have been through this with my previous Shih Tzu Milo and I was so so so hard. I have a two year old Shih Tzu Max now - the first one I’ve had since my kids flew the nest. I work from home while my hubby works from his offices so is Max and me together all the time. All fur babies should have owners who car this much. They give so much more to us than we could ever give back! On another more, I love the idea of a Sunday vlog! It’s my chill day! I’m so glad you got your money for that blasted sofa- those furniture people sounded awful to deal with ! I think you’re doing the absolutely right thing with Louis, you don’t want to put him through all the chemo etc with him being the age he is, I think we become a little selfish with our pets as we love them so much the thought of losing them is incomprehensible, we have to think of them having to go through it all, glad to hear you’re feeling better & more positive! & Great news about your sofa! Just watched a CZcams channel called Dogs are family. Very heart warming vid of a stray dog with a cancerous mass on his face, ignored for 8 years but was rescued, treated with surgery and chemo and is now healthy and fit.
Thought it may be good for you to watch to help decide what to do with Louis treatment.

In closing I'm glad you are doing your own research. Vetenarians don't have all the answers and are more inclined to traditional medicine. My kitty is a diabetic and recently I had to take her in for a glucose curve I was hesitant and she hasn't been eating since I brought her back home from the Vet. You are wise in not wanting to stress out your fur baby. Doctor's sometimes make mistakes and don't have all the answers. I believe alot in holistic medicine. My friend had terminal cancer and she cured herself through prayer and holistic medicine no chemo or radiation.

Louis looked so sweet watching television. I lost one of my fur babies last month and my heart still aches, so I know how hard it has been for you thinking about all of this. But he has a very wonderful and caring mom to take care of him.

Palliative care.... that's also where my dad was in his last few days, and as a nurse for 35 yrs, I also did some work on those wards. Very sad place to work, and the nurses there are usually the best people ❤❤❤
Nisha, I have never been able to brush my 13yo yorkie’s teeth. I have just taken him to regular anesthetic free dental cleanings over the years. They always say we are doing a great job and can’t believe his teeth are so great! My secret has been a product called “plaque off” which I add to his breakfast every morning. I started him on it because of great reviews… something to look into so you don’t have to stress about the brushing🤗
