Speckle team are doing great I also showcased what speckle does by exporting furniture from SketchUp to Revit. As many may agree with me there are so many high quality 3D objects, families and models in SketchUp that Revit. With speckle the world of possibilities will be opened. Thanks Balkan Architect for what you do here.

You're saving my architecture student life. Could you make a video about wooden structure in new version of revit?

Balkan Architect. Would Speckle also work, like if I model something like in SketchUp and then take this to Revit?

I don't know, everything was exported as generic model despite the fact that I assigned all of the mapping details. Just waisted couple hours for nothing. Probably should explain some underlying issues of what rhino model should be like to actually being able to export to Revit.

I am interested in the details of the revit furniture family that created via speckle from rhinoceros.
How editable those furniture are when opening the family editing process. Are those chairs and tables separated into 2 families but combining back to a single .rfa family file before importing to Balkan Tower.rvt?

Does Speckle create separated .rfa via recognising different blocks created from Rhinoceros? How will speckle generate if there are several sub-blocks in a Rhino block?

@balkanarchitects would this also work if I model a building from scratch in SketchUp or would I have t convert it to rhino

Do you have a channel or course specifically for Rhino software?

Do we really need speckle?! because we already have rhino inside Revit

    • @matteocominetti5400

Rhino Inside is a great tool in everyone's arsenal, but it only works locally - Speckle pushes this to an online "Multiplayer Experience". It also has a persistence layer (database) meaning you can pick up your work or share it anywhere, anytime.

      Hi Mohamed,
Rhino Inside Revit is a great tool to integrate Rhino with Revit, but it does have some limitations.
One of the main limitations is that you need to have both Rhino and Revit installed on the same device. With Speckle, you can receive models from Rhino without needing to have Rhino installed on your device. This can save you from having to purchase a Rhino or Revit license.
Another limitation of Rhino Inside Revit is that it requires knowledge of Grasshopper, which not everyone in the industry knows. Speckle, on the other hand, has a tool called Mapper that doesn't require Grasshopper knowledge. This makes it easier for anyone to use.
Lastly, Speckle offers more than just Rhino to Revit conversion. It has built-in version control, collaboration features, and integrates with other applications like Archicad, Power BI, Tekla and many more.
I hope this information is helpful for you. Give it a try and let us know what you think at speckle.community

How can You speak about interoperability if user should specify category of the target app? What a rubbish.
