I love how LOJO is buying $400 combos and I'm mowing lawns to try to get a cheap rod so I can go fishing.
Grab a cane pole for 10 bucks, I keep one in my truck all the time and catch fish with it regularly.

Go to academy or wal mart get a lil setup. Penn pursuit is a good reel for the price along with a ugly stick elite rod. You can find both online
If you have a local Walmart they carry 40$ medium heavy/heavy 7”2/7”0 poles, brand is Berkeley color is grey and orange and I found a Chinese bait casting reel on amazon for 27$ 11 ball bearings literally this is the best combo I’ve ever had it’s so smooth and nice the rod has good back bone and I’m pretty aggressive with my rods not to mention it casts like a shimano and can cast damn near half way across the lake I can share the links if you’re interested and I got 2 of each so that’s 2 rods and reels for 134$

Yea I just picked up fishing after stopping in the mid 90s, I’m just fine with a spinning combo but the baitcasting combo I bought has been a birds nest every cast. The struggle is real.

I know this video is almost a year old now but I love the videos where you guys do stuff like this for each other. I just watched a Yakpak video a little while ago from about a year ago too where Kickin Their Bass surprised him with 2 new rod and reels. I seen the one a while back where AYO surprised Davey Gravy with 2 new reels, and one a while back where Norm surprised the Hunter Fisher with a new combo. I think it's awesome you guys do stuff like this for each other. Ya'll keep up the awesome work! I enjoy watching all of you!

I went and bought a new medium spinning rod and a nice reel after watching this video, hooked up on first cast. Love watching your and ayo's channels, my favorite fishing content as of lately. You two together and separate are goofy and try different things. Channels where it's all bass and all same artificial from boats are cool, but I enjoy your guys variety!
