I did not umderstand technically what was the missfire cause. And what was the solution.
Is it the spark plugs or coils ? Please tell us how to fix this problem for someone who not that educated .

Sorry, this car was over heated and the head gasket was bad causing the issue
So if your car has over heated I would check for water in the cylinders

Impossible to say my man, take it to a mechanic in the area and ask them to check it out

My 2004 xtrail is having this problem, except not stalling just misfiring
Ive had one diagnosis to replace all the injectors.
I really need a second opinion as i dont trust the shonky mechanic who quoted.
Is there a way to trouble shoot the problem in detail?

Having similar problem...loosing power on 2000 rpms..uphill. when hot choking a bit. When hot..it is rattling a bit too.. What would be the first indicator of a blown head gasket?

@@mariomilosevic1137 If it starts and runs ok when cold I would not be thinking there is a head gasket issue mate.
Is the check engine light on?

@@RealAutoSolutions had an 3 hrs check at mechanic.
      - no code was shown,
      - no engine light
      - sparks were checked - ok
      - told me that car should not have big issues.
-i checked oil cap and cooling cap..they look clean, no foam or anything. No white smoke from exhaust.
Made 200km trip yesterday and problems stayed the same:
      - when between 1900-2000 rpms, driving 60-90km/h and trying to push on gas (especially uphill) it does misfires/not having enought pressure or air to get smooth acceleration. Above 3000 rpms it goes well.
      - when starting (pressing on gas in 1st gear) if you open the window you can hear like small clicking somewhere in engine (sound is like when you have a bunch of keys in the pocket and walking around).
      - when cold turns all good (you can hear a few seconds sound and dissapers)
-car vibrates a bit (they said it was running on low rpms so they cleaned the engine with throttle product (carbonated, 400 ml) and got a bit better
      - also..i use 2nd safety engine guard meter for temperature..it jumps up to 96 celsius when termostat hits in and goes down to 88 degrees..but the primary on dash is all the time in the middle like normal. Maybe the engine guard is too sensive. Is this overheating (we just replaced fans and everything..there is not any loss in cooling liquid levels)
      - with 60L tank i can make 420 kms
What scares me is loosing power. Could be MAF or other sensor. Hopefully not chain.
      Car has 235.000kms.
2.5L petrol, 2005, same engine. Automatic.
      Any help would be amazing.

in the bin? because of a headgasket?

    • @RealAutoSolutions
      @RealAutoSolutions  Před rokem +1

Yeah mate, they're a large job on these and the cost of doing the repair outways the cost of the vehicle unfortunately
Plus like I mention they have liners in the bores when once overheated they sink which is probably why the head gasket the original owner did, did not work
