Haha yeah for petrol engines, they always have an intank filter
Bloody well done video man. Well described in lay man's terms. Well filmed and well lit. Spot on bud.
Thanks so much
Hi, Where is the fuel filter in petrol grand Cherokee limited edition 2011?
There is not one on the petrol model
You're just doing that with no gloves huh so your hands smell like gas for 5 weeks
Hahah gotta love it
Hi, Im DIYing my oil change , I have 4N15. Do I need to do this every oil change? If so, whats the best scanner tools for it?
Hey, yes should be done every service. Any tool that offers functional testing. Try top don or thinktool. They have DIY budget options
@@RealAutoSolutions Thanks. Could you please check if Topdon ArtiDiag 500S is okay for this ?
@@gilbertlaitan9067 send me a link to it mate
I Tig welded a drain plug into the lowest point on my RTV 6 cylinder.
Hi mate wonderful video thank for your time 💪, Just wanna as u my 09 falcon green top I replaced all front rear brake pads after that I went to drive and after 5 minutes my ABS light come off and a orange triangle and screen top a tiny triangle with number 1 ? What happened, just let us know I never touch the ABS speed sensors at all ? Any ideas , ?? Many thanks Matt
Hey Matt, you would need a scan tool to gather some direction man Check the brake lights are working properly
Great info Jack, I'll be doing this soon to our sv6 ;)
Thank you!
Done this on a couple of FG Falcons. My question should be to Ford. Why do they put the exhaust oxygen sensor directly opposite the transmission fill plug? The oxygen sensor has to be removed first, to make enough room to get the tool on the fill plug: usually a 8mm Allen socket and breaker bar. Those fill plugs are tight, if they have not been removed before. And the oxygen sensor is usually difficult to remove, as well. Once those 2 items are loose, the rest is easy.
Depends on what you're using to fill them, I have never removed the 02 sensor
Like your down to earth and straight to the point description, very helpful. Thanks 🙂
Thank you, that's really kind
How do you get the filter in what lubricant do you use?
Just push it in, use transmission oil to lubricate it
Are U in Welshpool mate
I have my own shop at my house in cockburn mate, or I work 9 days in O'Connor
My 07 sti it’s got a Iag block and a lot of other aftermarket stuff but it’s getting a p0021 code it’s runs and drives fine idles fine everything seems to be working properly took the banjo bolts out no filters checks a AVCs solenoids hood checked timing myself and took it to a shop to have it all checked and they said everything was fine as well
music in background is annoying
I know mate, there is another video on the channel that explains it better with no music
Thanks
Happy days
Does the 2014 Grand Cherokee summit have a fuel filter
If it's a diesel model, yes
@RealAutoSolutions it's not a diesel model
Can i do the update myself?
If you have pass thru equipment or mazda dealer software If you have neither just go to mazda and pay the money
Cheers mate helped heaps 👌
Awesome 👌
Pajeros/Monteros are good reable cars exept thei fuel system, this is common problem causing misfire, im in this stage P0304 where i replaced 3 spark plugs of left bank (easy acces) and didnt helped, well maybe helped cus i had mulitple misfire detect error, but now i now its time foer fuel system flush including injectrors bath in utrasonic cleaner. Second clue is fresh error code P0170= Fuel trim bank 1. Whole problems starts with steel fuel tank with crappy paint, that sh#t peel it off and stuck in fuel system, also causing fuel tank corrosion, that the effect we see in this fuel rails and bottle in video, anyway thank you sir for your vid. I bet it helped a lot of us.
Thanks mate
I have the same scanner and it's definitely not that fast
Maybe clear some saved data?
I know it's only been 3 weeks but do you have any updates on this? I'm about to do this with my 2013 FX4. Took it to the dealer and they told me the OEM parts aren't available. So I'm going to try doing it myself with a Dorman part. Thanks so much for the video!
All fixed mate, don't use dorman. You can get genuine parts I'm sure Is it 6r80 transmission
I wonder if there is another material that would work better than copper . We may never know

@@RealAutoSolutions where who sells ? Are those better than the copper ?
@@juanherrera2672 they are just the same as copper mate, they both wear out eventually

Translation to german of the insturctions (second 0:24): um den Service reset korrekt durchzuführen, ist es wichtig, dass sie die folgende prozedur genau befolgen. bei eingeschalteter Zündung das Gaspedal voll durchdrücken und das Bremspedal 3 mal nacheinander betätigen. lassen sie nun alle pedale los und warten sie 10 Sekunden. die anzeigeleuchte sollte nun erlöschen. schalten sie nun die zündung innerhalb von 3 sekunden aus und wieder ein. der reset ist nun abgeschlossen. sollte diese Prozedur nicht funktionieren, muss das fahrzeug mindestens 15 km gefahren werden, bevor ein weiterer reset versucht wird. to carry out service reset correctly it is important to follow this procedure exactly. with ignition on fully depress the accelerator and press the brake pedal 3 times in succesion. now release all pedals and wait 10 seconds the tell tale ligt should now extinguish. now turn the ignition off and on within 3 seconds. reset is now complete. in the event of this procedure not functioning the cehicle mus be driven fo a minimum of 15km before a futher reset is attempted
Is this the same procedure for the ZF 6HP26 in an AWD 2006 Lincoln Navigator? Thank you!
Yes mate
Thank you sir! 🙏
Very helpful, cheers 🍻

Where are you located? I have the same issue probably you can help me to fix my 2011 Triton MN

Ive changed mine stillnhave a massve loss of power and chugging up hill Drives mint everywhere else Changed that filter Threw codes for map sensor and boost temp sensor changed them as well Turbo seems to be spooling fine But previous owner cut the muffler off do i have a lack of back pressure problem or is that my light engine mechanic brain
What codes do you have now
@RealAutoSolutions none still the same
Thanks heaps works well
No problem 👍
Without this video I could never have changed my cabin filter; thanks heaps!
Glad it helped!
Guess you need to read the service manual for XV… once the oil has drained and you have renewed the crush washer.. fill until it starts to run out. Reseat the fill plug cycle through gear and endurance the vehicle is plugged in to a SSM computer. Once reaching the operating temp to check the oil level Idle the engine to raise CVTF temperature to 35 - 45°C (95 - 113°F) on Subaru Select Monitor. 2) Operate the select lever in P → R → N → D and D → N → R → P to circulate CVTF with the engine idling
Great video, easy fix. Resetting the sensors was all that was needed. Thanks for posting
Awesome mate!
Question can i put a highlander oil radistor transmission oil cooler y a camry with same engine 2gr-fks to put down the fluid temp
Just put an aftermarket one on if you're wanting cooler temps
Can you explain why you didn't flush the fluid?
It's not always needed
Cool gonna try this out to see if it clears the p0506. My car is showing this plus a p0171. Do you thing it might be connected?
It shouldn't cause the p0171. The lean condition might be causing the p0506 though
@@RealAutoSolutions did this and it cleared both codes but today I got the p0171 again so I think I’ll just replace the sensor. Pretty good video
@@LoggyTonight I don't think the sensor is the issue What are your fuel trims looking like
Where do you get the rocket cover? I have bought two online and both have been faulty with a bad PCV diaphram (Its making sucking/whistle noises). I beed to get a good rocket cover that isnt faulty
Only genuine is the way to go mate, all after market ones are trash unfortunately
@@RealAutoSolutions agreed, so where can i get a genuine one?

Hello! My gearbox oil has been changed with some pump that sucks the old oil and puts in new one, since then I started having issues, the machine removed 9.5L and when trying to fill the transmission it does not get on level at 9.5L of oil, I have now inside of the gearbox 11.5/12 litres of oil and it still not leaking, how is this possible? Should ai continue filling until it leaks and makes the level ? What should I do, please help
Not sure how much I trust the flushing machines. If you do not have fluid leaking out of the check point like in this video, you need to continue filling with more oil
@@RealAutoSolutions okay Thank you, I did not know the gearbox can fill up to 13 litres, thank you
@@eduardtilita321 yeah! And make sure it's running whilst you set the level
@@RealAutoSolutions thank you so much I was looking for a answer for months!! Yep filling at 30/40 degrees with running car
@eduardtilita321 great job, is it working well now?
Thanks for putting this on very helpful topic man. Patrick
You're welcome
Hy jack. My Nissan Navara 2021 coolant reservoir always low after run 50km. Do you think its impact from EGR cooler pump not working
It won't be the egr pump causing the problem, it might be the EGR cooler, they're quite common to go on these
Got a lean po171 code on my zc31s swift sport has a mid pipe cat delete and I got a lean code wil this be o2 sensor? Is there one or 2? I have had no mid cat for 2 months bit today took it on a long drive and it randomly popped up
2 02s, one before the cat, one after The second one monitors catalyst efficiency The cat removal will not be the cause for the lean code Check for vacuum leaks, egr leaks, fuel pressure issues
@RealAutoSolutions have put it down to bad first o2 sensor had a tuner look at it
Good video, was certainly a lot easier with the older gearboxes that you could fill from the top via the dipstick. What can one expect to pay for an auto trans service on a 2013 FG MK2 ZF gearbox these days out of interest.
Thanks mate, for this sort of job with the genuine stuff we charge around 770 inc GST
@@RealAutoSolutions just something for next time, it would have been good to show the pan straight off the transmission to identify any metal filings or clutch pack material. Maybe you didn't have any in this one though after 60,000kms which is pretty good. Also do you disconnect the cooler lines at all normally. Seems like there would have still been old oil in those and the converter. I've seen some sort of flushing machine that claims to remove all the old transmission fluid. When you're servicing how do you ensure you get rid of all the old fluid?
@@zucan100 There will always be fluid in the torque converter so at best it is only an 80% fluid change but it is still a heap of new fluid which will dilute the old stuff. On my son's car which had quite old brown fluid, I drained and refilled it and worked it through the gears for 5 minutes and then drained that before taking the pan off and changing the filter & cleaning it etc. It is beautiful clean looking on the dipstick now. Many experts don't recommend flushing as it dislodges dirt into places you don't want it like valves etc. If you change the fluid regularly, there will always be some level of old fluid unless you disassemble the trans but in practical terms it really doesn't matter. I have done my Kia Sportage and my Holden/Chevy Cruze before the recommended intervals as I am not a fan of "lifetime fluid" service intervals. The Kia has a heavy duty use mileage of 140, 000 kilometres but the fluid was pretty dirty looking and opaque at 140k and 10 years. I got my Cruze done at 90,000 kilometres as it was herky and jerky ( hung on to gears and then jerked into gear) even though the trans service interval was 150,000k. Just done it again and it is almost like a Rolls Royce shifting. Factory service intervals are way too long in my opinion even with synthetic fluids. Helps if you can do it yourself as then it is only the cost of the fluid mainly vs $300 for someone to do it.
Damn. Nobody in my city has an advanced tester like this. Except Volkswagen and BMW they all have universal testers that tells me P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1) on my 1.3 Suzuki and that's all. I need to start changing all the parts that may be faulty and after each one I must hope the error doesn't show again
I would suggest using the best possible fuel in your town It may have suffered sulfur poisoning, you can possibly bring it back to life
@@RealAutoSolutions thanks for the answer. I have another question. I noticed a while ago that every time I open the gas cap it makes a hissing sound, like when you open a sparkling water bottle. Do you think it may be related? Probably I should change it anyway
@@raduszilagyi6055 that's normal in most cases.
@@RealAutoSolutions oh, I understand
I just replaced my spark plugs and noticed the I have a cooked O-ring. In English I see the part is called gasket set for crank case. I ordered the part, but due to Easter holidays it will arrive only in 5-6 days. Do you think it may be related to the p0420 code?
You should explain how you arrive at different loads for different batteries and battery types ...
Thank u so very much ❤
Superb work. Works exactly as u said
Thanks mate
Hey how are you I have a Holden Colorado 2018 and I accidentally broke the yellow drain plug next to the fuel filter housing what would you receomend and could I just remove the filters every time I want to drain or do you think the yellow drain plug is important ?
You need to find something that will seal the hole, it doesn't really matter what, I just has to work You don't need to drain it via the yellow drain either, removing the filters is fine
How do you do sound setting??
Ugh. Ive got these codes and a p2005. Are they related? Still think it could be these filters? Also had my airbag light come on. I checked all seatbelts and theres no coins or anything
This and the p2005 are unlikely to be related. The p2005 appears to be an electrical circuit code As for your air bag, it needs to be scanned for codes or check live data for direction
@@RealAutoSolutions thank you I appreciate it!
Any feedback from the customer on that one?
This was a fix mate
Good man. Same issue with mine I believe. You’re a legend!
