I don't even know how Olivia does it. She literally has to be the strongest character on television. She's seen so much, and yet still goes into work everyday knowing that some horrible thing is going to happen again. And her hair always looks fabulous to top it off.

The amount of times Joe & Roxie kept saying “shut up!” made it clear that they had no idea what they were doing. Joe was clearly someone sitting on a whole heap of rage & drugs. People like him should always be watched out for so they don’t do anything like this. Also, Olivia was awesome in this episode! She and her squad the perfect example of how cops should be in situations!

Made it clear that no one knows what's going to happen when someone is doing drugs as much as Joe is doing. Their thoughs, if any, are going in and off... And a basic civilian, that's what I am, can't handle it. (And I was renting an apartment very close to an area where they are doing drugs...best piece of advice : be cautious.)

Mariska is such a great actress. While I love her as Benson, it’s too bad she hasn’t had more film roles. She’s as talented as anyone
Unfortunately, a TV show like SVU is super-demanding on her time, so she probably doesn't have the flexibility to do more. Plus she has worked her way up to some solidly good money in her time.

I liked this ep but I DO agree it's a bit tiresome seeing Olivia or Rollins in danger. Shake it up and put one of the guys in danger. Remember when Amaro had to face down that kid in "Born Psychopath"? That was pretty intense too. Let's get more stuff like that.

Well it's true she's never been in a hostage situation, Rollins HAS been in danger before, such as when she was caught at the gambling house and the first time that she tried to help her sister.

What a great episode and terrific ending. I just love how she set him up for the kill shot. He didn't see it coming at all.
It was crazy to see just how quickly he lost all control of the situation. Within two seconds liv got away and he was shot dead

I enjoy it when they do hand to hand fight moments. It just shows what their fighting capabilities area. Now if one of them does any type of kick (whether front, back or spin), that would be REALLY awesome to see.

She got it right when she told Rollins (current season: 22) that "nobody looked out for me the way he (Stabler) did" .... Somehow, if he had been there, he would have found a way to end this way sooner than they did...would have protected her better... held her closer walking out of the scene... Carisi cares I know; nobody shields her like Stabler does though....

I was on the edge of my seat watching this the first time.
I can understand why Elliot had to apologize. All she went through in the later seasons would have been different if he were there
First time : she was Cassidy's girlfriend. He had to stay for some extra-hours... Cassidy is emotional but he is not a coward.
Olivia is a great and brave detective that will put her life in danger to save others life. Especially Children ,she don't want others to get hurt or killed.
Anybody thought back to the Episode Spooked (season 11) watching this? I couldn't help thinking back about Elliot and how he reacted, not just in Spooked but in any other episode (take Sheep for instance) where Olivia was held hostage, and how there is not even any comparison between HIS and Tucker's reaction!.... I haven't seen season 17, but I mean so Olivia was dating Tucker in that season and THAT is all that goes on between them after she was held by a psycho at a gunpoint?!.... he just took her arm, and she called him "Tucker" giving him her thanks! .. Hell, Elliot held her and shielded her like his other half, in Spooked! Her "boyfriend" couldn't do better than taking her arm and telling her emotionlessly "you did great"?.... I never saw Olivia with Tucker as even a possibility for a romantic relationship... there isn't even half the depth of the bond and emotion Olivia & Elliot had in that scene..
I ship them so hard, it's not even a sail ship...THIS IS A BATTLESHIP!!!!

With Elliot it was Liv WAS his other half if Liv died Elliot would die on the inside and commit Suicide. He would die before he let anything happen to Liv and if it did the person who did that to her was gonna be soorrrrrrry that they ever messed with his Liv.

As soon as she grasped his arm he was practically defenceless, so shooting him wasn't really necessary. I realize if he could try to struggle he would be able to shot somewhere at random, but still, if the cops would run over him there'd be no chance.
